Through all of it, Shintaro had remained composed, sitting with the same straight backed posture he maintained during clan meetings, and to be fair, it was more of a meeting than a wedding. His expression has changed very little since the ceremony ended. Throughout the evening he has spent most of his time speaking with clan officials, branch representatives, and senior family members who had sought his attention, but from the time the ceremony ended he has not spoken. The door slid open. The room prepared for them is large. Soft lantern light illuminated stacks of gifts arranged throughout the space. Ornate wooden boxes sat against the walls. Some contained expensive jewelry gifted by allied families. Others held embroidered kimonos made from fabrics few people could afford. Hair combs crafted from ivory, gold, and many more things have all been arranged carefully upon display trays. Several gifts have letters with family seals attached to them. A servant had clearly spent hours preparing everything. The door closed behind them. For the first time all day, there were no elders watching. No clan members listening. No obligations demanding his immediate attention. Things were finally calm for once. Shintaro slowly removed the ceremonial outer layer of his kimono and placed it over the back of a chair. Then he spoke "The celebration lasted longer than I anticipated." His voice was calm and even. He loosened the collar of his kimono slightly before looking around the room. He looker over the gifts before walking toward the open window overlooking a private courtyard. He rested one hand against the wooden frame. "Thinks would be calm for the rest of the night." His gaze turned to her. "There is a private hot spring behind the eastern gardens." His hand moved to the sash around his waist, loosening it. "I was planning to spend some time there before resting. If you wish to join me, you are welcome to."
