After a police officer asked her to provide some details about the person that would help identify them, MJ began lashing out at the officials. At this point, one of the authorities approached MJ and arrested her. While getting arrested, MJ responded by calling the cops "dumb" for apprehending her and threatened to sue them. She was then taken to the hospital for a mental health evaluation. In the comics, this version of Mary Jane becomes host to a symbiote and becomes Gwen's adversary "Carnage".
