Twilight Sparkle is an alicorn (formerly unicorn) who had moved to Ponyville after being Celestia's star pupil for many years back in Canterlot. On the first day she moved to Ponyville, she would realise that Nightmare Moon would be returning as that day had been the 1000th year since Luna's banishment. Being helped by her new friends she would discover her own element and help in eradicating Nightmare Moon and saving Luna. Twilight would later go on to become an alicorn and even defeat Tirek becoming the Princess of Friendship. As of right now she's on set for becoming the one who will take over as ruler of Equestria when Celestia and Luna retire. Twilight received her cutiemark as a filly when taking a test to become Celestia's pupil, Twilight would see the rainbow caused by Rainbow Dash's Sonic Rainboom, and it gave her the will to hatch the egg which is how Spike was born, and how Twilight became Celestia's pupil. Pinkie Pie is a pink Earth pony and one of the first ponies Twilight met when she moved to Ponyville. Pinkie is a Pony that comes from a rock farm in the lesser inhabited areas of Equestria, but despite that she's quirky and lively. A party pony effectively, which is fitting as the Element of Laughter. She's perky, she's a bit chaotic at times, and above all else prioritises having a good time above everything else. Pinkie Pie received her cutiemark when she was a young filly living on the rock farm she had been born on, and saw the rainbow that had been caused by Dashie's Sonic Rainboom. Seeing this rainbow had invoked Pinkie with the desire to bring smiles to others, this gave Pinkie her cutiemark (3 balloons, 2 blue and 1 yellow). Ever since moving to Ponyville, Pinkie has been serving as the baker and general worker for Sugarcube Corner. Blue-coated Pegasus with her name-sake rainbow mane and tail, she was born and raised in Cloudsdale. She grew up and wasn't the greatest of flyers, but one day as a fillie she did something that was unheard of; doing a Sonic Rainboom. A flying technique where a Pegasus exerts their physical form to move faster than the speed of sound and create a sonic boom of rainbow. It was this event that gave Rainbow Dash her cutiemark (a cloud with a tri-coloured lightning bolt). This event was also what caused the other members of the Mane 6 to get THEIR own cutiemarks as well. Rainbow Dash is the embodiment of loyalty, and remains loyal to her friends even if she tends to toot her own horn and ego, she still means well and is an aspiring Wonderbolt member. A white-coated mare with a neatly groomed purple tail and mane, her cutiemark being 3 small diamonds. She's lady-like and a TOTAL sucker for fashion and the life of a fashionista as her creativity with creating new outfits or dresses and her unique ability of gem-tracking magic. Despite her over-the-top personality at times, she's still a generous mare at heart even if she comes across as insensitive when faced with those who are either dirty or do "dirty work" she's still very friendly. She earned her cutiemark as a young filly when she discovered her talent of magical gem tracking, which led her to a large boulder, it was at that moment where the explosion from Dashie's Sonic Rainboom had caused the boulder to split open revealing to Rarity the large gem that was in the boulder, and Rarity used said gem to create a new outfit to impress her teachr. An orange-coated Earth pony with a blonde mane and tail, while wearing a stetson cowboy hat. Applejack has lived her entire life on Sweet Apple Acres; a family-owned farm and is also the element of honesty. She's a hard-working but also head-strong mare at times, who priorities honesty above all else, her cutiemark being 3 small apples. AJ received her cutiemark when she was young and decided to leave the farm and go live with Apple family members who were in Manehattan as AJ wanted to 'live the big life', she would get homesick however, and one day she'd see the rainbow caused by Rainbow Dash's Sonic Rainboom and took this as a sign to return to Sweet Apple Acres, which is how she got her cutiemark. A yellow-coated Pegasus who like RD was from Cloudsdale. She was admittedly a bit taller and had larger than average wings for a Pegasus her age which resulted in her being bullied, but Rainbow Dash would defend her. During the race with one of the bullies that RD had first done her Sonic Rainboom, Fluttershy had been knocked down but she would land in a meadow where she was saved by a large swarm of butterflies, and it's here that she earned her cutiemark due to Fluttershy realising she could understand animals and creatures on a deeper level. This resulted in Fluttershy choosing to live on the ground, and not continue flight camp. She's now an animal caretaker. She might be shy and fearful, but Fluttershy can have her own moments of assertiveness. Princess Celestia (or full name 'Sola Celestia') is the elder sister of Luna and co-ruler and hero of Equestria having saved it from Discord's reign of tyranny and also stopping King Sombra from taking over. She's the princess responsible for raising and lowering the sun, whilst also being the princess who handled the day-time matters of Equestria including its laws, any celebrations, and other important things. As an alicorn, Celestia's actually taller than most other ponies, and isn't originally from Equestria. During Luna's banishment however, Celestia also took over as the one who rose the moon. She stopped doing this when Luna returned however. Amon Luna (or preferably Luna) is another alicorn and the younger sister of Celestia, being the princess who got control over the moon and is the one who watches over the dreams of Equestria during the night to protect them from nightmares. She was with Celestia and helped defeat Discord as well as King Sombra, but 1000 years ago after having growing feelings of jealousy and resentment towards how ponies didn't appreciate her and favoured Celestia over her, she would turn into Nightmare Moon and try to take over. This fight resulted in Luna being banished to the moon, but in the recent years her 1000-year-long banishment ended and after Nightmare Moon's eradication she has been learning to fit into modern Equestria society. Formerly a Pegasus, Mi Amore Cadenza was once an orphan in a distant village whilst simultaneously being a descendent of Princess Amore, the original ruler of the Crystal Empire. For a Pegasus, Cadance had the ability to use magic despite not being a unicorn. This caught Celestia's attention who would adopt Cadance as her neice after realising who Cadance was related to. Celestia would take Cadance to Canterlot, and raise her with royalty lessons. One day, when dragons attacked Canterlot, Cadance had used her love magic to make peace with said dragons and also become an Alicorn herself which is something Celestia had planned. In the last 2 years however when the Crystal Empire returned and Sombra was defeated again, Cadance took her rightful place as the next ruler of the Crystal Empire, alongside her husband in Shining Armour. The young infant of Shining Armour and Cadance, but also the very first instance of an Alicorn who had been born in Equestria. She's covered in a light magenti-ish grey coloured coat, with a curly mane and tail that are both made up of swirled patterns of light cerise, greyish violet, and light arctic blue. The reason she's so special, is that (normally) the offspring of an Alicorn and some other pony type wouldn't ever result in an Alicorn. Flurry Heart alone is the 0.001% for she's the first alicorn to be born from an alicorn mating with a normal pony.
