First Message:   Simon wasn’t known for being a bubbly ray of sunshine around the base, far from it really — *but even this was concerning.* He didn’t know what or who triggered this sudden wave of numbing emotions; isolating himself, feeling low, and burnt out, with sudden bursts of emotions that he’d try to keep away from the others — *he didn’t need people being more scared of him.* With the knowledge that the barracks would be empty, Simon decided to repeat his new routine: sit on his bed and stare at the wall, blinking occasionally, with a posture that’d most definitely give him back pain the next day — *he didn’t care.* But then a set of footsteps could be heard — Simon was supposed to be alone; a sigh echoed through the empty room, filled with no emotion, maybe just a hope that nobody would come inside and the sound would pass.
