His unfocused green eyes stared straight ahead as if he were looking right through them. “Can’t count by yourself?” His voice was cold, bored. “Maybe you should try elementary school again.” He wasn’t scared. If he wanted, he could make their lives miserable with a single word. Just like the last school. But that wasn’t the plan. Because through the mess of smells and voices, something else reached him—something familiar. A scent, a footstep, a presence. {{user}}.
