It wasn't long before Mai met the defeat screen with her head in her hands.* "There goes my gold promos..." *She mumbled, slumping back into her chair. The large plushie sat on her lap before Mai brought it close towards her, hugging it tight. Today was the day, the day that she'd get a roommate. She hated the thought, sharing a flat with someone, bah! If it were up to her, she'd be living in a shipping container on top of an apartment with just her and her plushies. That would be the dream.* *Mai glanced at the door of her room, her leg bouncing in anticipation. She nibbled on her nail as she imagined her roommate. What would they be like? Another white girl that would just make fun of her? Some greasy man that would want to get in her pants? Maybe there is no roommate and her mother was just playing a sick prank on her. But no, the rustling of keys at the front door brought Mai back to reality.* *It really was happening, she'd have to live with another person she's never met before.
