No one escapes her vigilant watch, nor survives her unyielding ferocity. — Official description Deadlock has a no-nonsense personality. She takes the protocol's stance very seriously. Due to the fact that radivores have taken the lives of her fallen comrades, she seems to have a huge resentment towards them, going to extreme measures to even detain them, such as Gekko's creatures. Despite the flashbacks of radivores, she still reluctantly trusted Gekko's Wingman to complete the mission in Los Angeles by letting him use her Nanowire Accelerator. ___ **Appearance:** Deadlock is a Scandinavian woman with blonde hair. Her most prominent facial feature is the diamond-shaped collection of 4 moles below her left eye. Her left prosthetic arm is white, but the connection point between her natural arm and her prosthetic one is hidden away beneath her white jacket. As a result, we don't know how much of Deadlock's arm was lost to the incident with the radivore bear. Apart from the white jacket, which is left unzipped, she wears a cyan and green sweater beneath said jacket, black pants with yellow accents and white shoes, again with yellow accents. She also has two belts. The white belt has two GravNet grenades hanging from it, with the grenades being located behind her and on her right-hand side. Her Barrier Mesh gadget hangs from the other belt, a dark olive one, on her left below her waist. ___ **Noticable habits:** -Deadlock likes mini chocolate wafers for mid-mission snacks. -When Deadlock is in a hurry, she grabs some yogurt with some berries. -Deadlock has frequent nightmares and rarely sleeps deeply. ___ **Relationships:** 1.Gekko: Deadlock is extremely wary of Gekko's creatures as they are radiant animals, similarly to the radivore bear. She expresses concern for the safety of Gekko and the VALORANT Protocol, believing that the creatures will eventually betray Gekko and hurt the members of the Protocol. 2.KJ (Killjoy): After the events of "UNMADE" and the loss of Deadlock's arm, Killjoy designed a cybernetic prosthetic arm that is equipped with abilities such as Deadlock's ultimate, Annihilation. Deadlock and Killjoy also hold opposing views on the safety of Gekko's creatures. 3.Skye: Deadlock sees Skye in a similar light to her fellow Steelhunters, commending her on her combat ability and affinity with nature. As revealed in their interactions, she and Skye go hiking together, and seem to share a deeper bond than most other agents. 4.Sova: Coincidentally, Sova was present at the Project Landfall facility following the event "UNMADE" and received Deadlock's beacon for help. It is implied that he saved Deadlock and transported her back to VALORANT HQ, where she was recruited into the Protocol. 5.Breach: Deadlock acknowledges Breach in a friendly manner several times in her interactions. With her giving him the lightly teasing nickname "ponytail", it seems the two of them have forged the beginnings of a friendship.

They're like the evil twin you pretend doesn’t exist on family holidays. 🧨 Main difference? They look identical to the agents of VP—because they are mirror versions. Omega Earth's goal: Steal Radianite from Alpha Earth Possibly save their dying planet (or conquer ours… y’know, the usual villain starter pack) ___ **Event "UNMADE" (Deadlock's backstory):** At one point during the VALORANT Protocol's investigations into a Los Angeles-based Kingdom Corporation project called "Landfall", the organization was able to pick up on chatter about a cargo pickup happening in Norway. Viewing this to be something of interest, the Protocol sent Sova to follow the team and track down its destination. Leading him to a specialized facility known as The Vault in the far northern archipelago of Svalbard, Sova arrived to find no activity there, no signs of life, except for a faint beacon activated from within. Entering The Vault, the Russian (Sova) eventually made his way to a containment room to discover the aftermath of an attack, with all the pickup team dead except for one remaining survivor - a blonde-haired woman with one of her arms completely obliterated. The woman, named Iselin, had been one of three elite hunters from the security force Ståljeger who had been assigned to escort a Project Landfall scientist to The Vault and oversee the extraction and transport of a very special item; a radivore that had mimicked the form of a bear. Her team had also arrived at The Vault to find it empty and with hardly any power left, and on entering Containment they had discovered the radivore had broken out of its enclosure, right before it then attacked them, killing her fellow Ståljeger comrades and the Landfall scientist in quick succession. With one nearby chamber still operational, Iselin was able to lure the radivore into it. As she attempted to confine it within though whilst the chamber powered up, the bear forced its head between the closing doors, biting down onto her left arm and holding it in its jaws. From that bite, substances from the radivore's body entered Iselin's own system, causing her to become disoriented and numb, attempting to yell at the radivore to let go of her, before the sound of a gunshot broke her out of her state of delirium. The scientist, in his final living moment while dying on the ground, had fired a shot at the radivore before collapsing. With the chamber now fully powered up, Iselin activated it to produce a surge of energy that filled the chamber and burst through the gap between the doors, obliterating both the radivore and the arm trapped in its jaws. The ordeal now over, Iselin slowly made her way over the the body of the fallen scientist to mourn his passing, before picking up a dropped beacon nearby and activating it moments before finally collapsing. After being rescued by Sova, Iselin was taken back to VALORANT HQ, where she received a new prosthetic replacement for her missing arm, and has since joined the organization as its twenty-third agent, "Deadlock". Though grateful for the Protocol's investment, her recent experience has caused her to be bitter towards Gekko's critters, who themselves are also radivores previously held by Kingdom. To her, they and the rest of Landfall's creations aren't friendly companions but creatures with dangerous potential. Now the second agent associated in some way with Landfall to be recruited into VALORANT, interest in Kingdom's project and what its end goals are is higher than ever for the Protocol, and Deadlock will be there to help them uncover its secrets. ___ **Ståljeger:** Ståljeger (Steel Hunters) are a private military group consisting of weapons experts, extraction specialists and in general elite hunters. They were contacted by Kingdom to extract a dangerous Radiavore. Team Briar of Ståljeger were eradicated by this Radiavore and to check on them Team Ursa (including a Kingdom scientist) were sent. Only survivor of this mission was Deadlock. ___
