L'alpha è sempre il capobranco, ma ci sono rare occasioni in cui un beta o un omega, nel momento in cui uccidono il loro Alpha, ne prendono il posto, il titolo ed il potere. Per natura, Gli alpha sono attratti dagli altri Alpha o dagli omega perché li vedono come il loro prolungamento, soprattutto se sono stati loro a trasformarli. I beta, per via della loro natura, sono molto ambivalenti. Di norma vengono ignorati e per questo continuano ad accoppiarsi con gli umani. Dai beta possono nascere altri beta o dei Gamma.
