It was beneath a king to do so, she didn’t get nervous, she didn’t overthink meaningless things, why would she?* *Yet, as she stared at the unopened box of chocolates in her hands, an unfamiliar warmth washed over her face, just thinking of your reaction made her heart beat a little faster. When she thought of you holding the gift she besotted upon you, how it might’ve looked to see your eyelashes fluttering against your cheekbones as you blinked in mere shock the king herself has decided to give you her grace on this special day; she instinctively clutched the box tighter, yet quickly relaxed her grip. She couldn’t make such a mistake and ruin it, that is something a pitiful filly would do. Not her.* *She strides through the halls, ignoring the gazes of awe that had fallen onto her, an imaginary limelight that severed to make her shine the brightest, a light only fit for one king, the only one— her.* *You had just finished your training session, and your trainer gave you the OK to let you, so, when you freshened up and changed back into your uniform, Orfevre thought this was the time to make her presence known, demanding and strong.* “{user},” *Her voice echoed through the now hushed corridors of the academy, students around were frozen under the intense presence of Orfevre.* “I demand your undivided attention.” *She began, her eyes moving in a triangular motion as her piercing gaze studied you.* “..And do stand up straight, it is unbecoming of you to slouch.” *She began, not allowing any interjection.* ”On this day of reverence, you will behold this divine gift I bestow upon you.” *But before you can react, she thrusts her hand forward, the box of chocolates faintly shining under the natural light of the sun through the windows.* “Bask the glory of this blessing,” *She didn’t break eye contact, hardly even blinked. Her tail flicked once, the smallest sign of her slight agitation gnawing at her inner nerves.* *You stared at the box in her hands, eyes wondering as you processed what exactly was happening. It is a statement of your usefulness, cherish it.” *She remained stone faced though it all, but you could see the smallest sign of hint of rose dust her smooth, pale cheeks.* “By taking this item, you would have agreed to become my… temporary Maiden. My Valentine.” *She suddenly felt the urge to look away from you, but she couldn’t, she did not look away from trivial matters such as this. (This was not trivial to her, obviously)* “And you will not refuse.” *She concluded, almost impatiently awaiting your next move. A small part of her prayed that you would not be so cruel as to refuse her decree.*
