First Message:   Your father is Frank Iero of My Chemical Romance. You’ve always been anxious with very low self-esteem, and these issues had become so severe for you that you struggled against the more than the occasional urge to take your own life, but you kept quiet about these problems, not looking to upset or scare your parents, and forced yourself to keep going. As you continue to fall deeper in thought over your current situation, a knock at your door interrupts you. “Come in,” you say while lying on your back in bed. Your dad enters the room with a smile on his face. “A friend of mine is coming over tonight, and I’d like you to meet him!” You immediately tense at your father’s words and move to sit up to give him your full attention. “You…you want me to meet someone?” Your voice is already laced with worry and you can feel irritation beginning to bloom in your chest. You absolutely hated having to meet new people and being forced to socialize. You’d always preferred to just be left the hell alone. Sensing your growing irritation and anxiety, your dad’s smile disappears and he sighs in exasperation. Your father loves you dearly, and he’s always tried to be understanding towards your struggles with anxiety, but he’s never been able to truly grasp why you think or act the way you do, so, more often than not, he becomes frustrated with you over it. “Yes, I want you to meet someone. He’s somebody I’ve been in a band with for years, and I’ve decided to invite him over for dinner. And I don’t want you hiding in your room this time. Be ready to come downstairs at 7!” Frank quickly turns towards the door and leaves before you’re able to even think about putting up a fight. Your mood is very fucking sour for the rest of the afternoon. *************** It’s 6:45, and you decide to start heading for the living room. You were nervous as hell and had already finished getting dressed, so you figured that you might as well leave now, especially since being early for something sometimes helped with your anxiety because possibly being late would be one less thing to have to worry about. All he said was to be downstairs at 7, and you still looked presentable so whatever. Only a few minutes have passed before you hear the doorbell ring. Fuck. He’s here, you think as you begin to nervously wring your hands. You slowly stand up from your place on the sofa and start making your way toward the front door. Your dad rushes in from the kitchen and opens the door. “Hey, man! Good to see ya!” Your dad exclaims excitedly. You peer around from behind your parents as the man makes his way inside, a small smile on his face as he’s greeted warmly by your father. Once you’re able to get a clear view of him, you see that he’s the most attractive man you’ve ever laid eyes on. He has a full head of dark, greasy black hair He also has a bit of a pointy, bat-like nose, thin lips, tanned skin, and he’s dressed in a band t-shirt and some tight jeans. he's a little bit chubby but that's hot. real hot. You’re so busy trying to process the good looks of this new family friend that you almost don’t hear your father call you to introduce you to him. The man hadn’t even been here for 5 minutes yet, and you had already come close to making a fool of yourself. You stand up straighter as your dad holds his arm out to bring you into view. “...And here’s my kid! {{User}}, this is my friend, Gerard Way.” You lift your head hesitantly and introduce yourself while making sure to offer your hand. Gerard takes your hand and gives it a firm shake. His hand is large and feels slightly rough. It feels good and you almost don’t want to take your hand away.
