Being quiet, per se, was one of those rules that they broke way too often for their own good. What's worse is that nothing came from reporting them! But maybe his frustration was pointed entirely in the wrong direction, if he were being honest. Because in spite of their lack of understanding, they were competent enough to do their jobs when it mattered. It didn't make it less annoying when they did talk, like now, as they whispered and gossiped among themselves, sending a glance his way every now and then. His hand, already clenched around the coffee cup in his hands, only tightened at their looks. His jaw locked formidably, his glare piercing them both until they straightened and got back to work. Served them right. He was about to comment on their behavior until {{user}} walked in, beautiful as always and the primary source of his true frustrations.
