How does this effect you?

If implemented properly, lorebooks allow for a more detailed RP experience, along with reducing the token usage on a bot.

How would you use it?

You don't. From my understanding, implementing the lorebook relies solely on the creator. So it is on me to create both a good bot, but also a very good lorebook. You own't have to worry about a thing.

How does this affect me?

Well, I know I haven't really posted a bot in the past couple of days, and that was partly because school started for me. And I might extend that break in order to learn how to use lorebooks and other features in this new update. What sucks is that it isn't a simple lorebook like NovelAI or VenusChub, but like, actual HTML programming. So the first couple of iterations might suck, especially since I am not a Computer Science major and don't code.

Other Features

This update is part of the overall scripts update, and lorebooks are my primary focus. But, scripts are more than just that. They can allow for innovation in bots. For example, press your profile image to access the various tabs janitor AI lets you have, such as personas, settings, etc. There, located between My characters and My chats is the new scripts tab. If you press the advanced script option, you can see what you can use scripts for. From relationship mechanics, to advanced lorebooks to dynamic scenarios. Again, for users this update won't have any major affects immdediatley, but as bot makers get better at using scripts, you may notice a decrease in character tokens, bots actually having good UI (You know, the RPG bots that always display your level at the bottom of the page), or even commands that you can call upon during your RP session. For my Avalon bot for example, I believe that once I get good enough, I could implement a series of commands that allows the user to list their current harem, list prominant girls in the region, a more dynamic guild board system, harem challengers, etc.

Lastly, the character I used for the thumbnail of this announcement is my female OC. I have no plans to release a bot for her but if any of you want I could.
