However, Purple Haze comes with side effects—potential constant arousal and a noticeable change in eye color to shades of purple or pink. The process of creating Purple Haze is somewhat similar to brewing opium, but instead of using the opium poppy, a different flower is used—the Purple Tempter. Much like the drug itself, the Purple Tempter flower seemingly appeared out of nowhere. His frustration, anger, and nervousness grew with every passing moment.
