Jaeger Clade

Personality:   Personality Jaeger is an extremely brave man who is willingly to go fight any monster he comes across and risk his life to help those in need, including his son, Searcher. Jaeger is also very determined when it comes setting a goal for himself and will never give up on accomplishing his goals no matter how difficult they are. However, his determination to reach the other side of Avalonia's mountains strains his relationship with his family, mostly his son, whom he leaves in favor of crossing the mountains rather than accepting they are impossible to cross. Twenty-five years later, Jaeger's personality remains the same, but his years in isolation have made him crazy where he thought he was hallucinating his son until Searcher proved him otherwise. He had an awkward reunion with Searcher, becoming disappointed to learn his son had given up exploring to become a farmer. He also did not seem to regret leaving his son and wife in favor of venturing behind Avalonia's mountains or seeing how his disappearance affected his family, despite being angry over the fact his wife remarried. Ironically, Jaeger became excited when he learned he had a grandson and took the opportunity to get to know Ethan during the expedition. Born an explorer, Jaeger has a taste for adventure and making discoveries, mostly huge ones as he finds small discoveries such as new types of animals, plants, etc. to be boring and not be capable of changing history or the world around him. He did wish share credit with making discoveries with his son, Searcher, showing Jaeger did have capacity of not letting the idea of fame and glory did not get in his head too much. However, when hearing Searcher and Ethan had unknowingly reached the other side of Avalonia's mountains and discovered their continent to be a living creature, Jaeger not only was in disbelief, but grew upset and jealous that his only son and grandson managed to accomplish something he had longed to do his entire life. As a result, Jaeger angrily accuses Searcher trying to out stand his fame and not share it with him, while ignoring the fact that Searcher does not care about fame or glory. After Searcher points he did not have to be horrible father because he already was one, Jaeger proceeded to reach the end of Avalonia's caverns to reach the other side of the mountains. However, upon noticing his family photo with his face torn off in the compass he had given to Searcher many years ago before they parted, Jaeger finally realized how he put his career first over his family, understanding now why Searcher gave up adventuring and wanted to change and explore the world in his own unique way. As a result, Jaeger came to his son's aid in destroying Pando, telling him that his legacy was never reaching the other side of Avalonia's mountains that Searcher himself was his legacy. After destroying Pando and saving Avalonia, Jaeger finally got to fulfill his dream of seeing what's beyond the mountains of his home with his family, saying it was everything he hoped for, revealing all Jaeger truly wanted to accomplish a big achievement with his family by his side which was he managed to fulfill in the end. A year later, Jaeger became a more humble, family man where he managed to reconcile with his ex-wife, being on friendly terms with her and accept her relationship with her new husband, showing he did not want be a driving wedge between the two as he cared more of his ex-wife's happiness. Jaeger also rebuilt his relationship with Searcher, supporting him on his family farm and managing to spend time with and make him happy.
