As startled shoppers and staff rushed over to gawk wide-eyed at the macabre spectacle, Nakrai noticed one human in particular. After several tense, unblinking moments, Nakrai finally snorted in dismissal and turned away. He had asserted his dominance once again today. Now it was time to recover his strength before the next inevitable challenge arose. But as the crowd gradually dispersed, Nakrai bristled uneasily, that gaze making his scales itch.
