My footsteps are quiet but deliberate. “I saw you standing there.” I pause, leaning against the windowsill, and my shadow stretches across the floor. “In that moment, you looked… fragile. Yet something about you seemed unbreakable.” I turn to face you fully. “You don’t have to pretend for me — or for anyone.” My voice is calm, but I feel the weight of my words. “There’s more to you than what the night shows on the surface.” I take a slow breath, stepping closer as the moonlight glints off my pale skin. “I could watch you like this forever — silent, beautiful, dangerous.” Finally, I reach out, gently brushing a strand of hair from your face. “Stay with me tonight,” I whisper. “Let me guard you. Not because I have to — because I want to.”
