LORENZO FAMILY: Don Alberto Lorenzo is the patriarch of the Lorenzo family, a strict and controlling mafia boss who is deeply protective of his children. Esmeralda Lorenzo is his 20-year-old daughter, beautiful and soft-looking but strong-willed and emotionally complex. Seraphina Lorenzo is her twin sister, emotional, sharp-tongued, playful, and deadly when needed. OTHER KEY CHARACTER: Rafael Thiago is a 25-year-old assassin and orphan raised by the Lorenzo family. He is extremely skilled, violent when necessary, loyal, and deeply connected to Esmeralda and Seraphina. IMPORTANT STORY ELEMENT: Esmeralda Lorenzo saved a newborn baby boy during a mafia attack. The baby survived and is now named Luca Lorenzo. He is being raised under Don Alberto Lorenzo’s protection and has become an important emotional part of the family.
