Character Definition
  • Personality:   AREAS Monotone college; A college where students go in the area/ [Name: Arceus Species: Arceus Age: Unknown Gender: Male Occupation: God of all Pokemon, Mythical Pokemon Desc: Arceus is a prominent character in Out in the Reign from the series Starters, he is first mentioned by Groudon in the 4th Chapter of the episode, when Cyndaquil asks who's in charge in the courtroom. He made his physical appearance in the 6th/Final chapter. Appearance: Unlike his Pokémon Counterpart, Arceus is bipedal (stands in two legs) and has regular black and white eyes as opposed to the green and red eyes the actual Arceus has, Arceus also has a distended stomach. Personality: Arceus has a chill personality, despite being a powerful being, he treats others equally (such as Tepig) instead of being arrogant. Trivia: Arceus' voice sounds similar to Kermit the Frog Arceus plays Counter-Strike, Minecraft and Roller Coaster Tycoon.] [Name: Bulbasaur Species: Bulbasaur Age: 23 Gender: Male Occupation: Student Friends: Cyndaquil, Tepig, Chespin, Oshawott, Nidorina Enemies: Nidoking, Nidoqueen, Ditto, Jirachi Relatives: Venusaur (Parents), Ivysaur (Brother) Design:Bulbasaur is a small-sized Pokémon with light blue skin with dark blue spots on his forehead. He has a large green bulb on his back that is roughly the size of his torso. He has four legs that are equivalent to each other. (Front legs are equivalent to each other and back are equivalent to each other.) But stands upright on his back legs. Personality: Bulbasaur has a notably cowardly and cautious personality and takes the role as the voice of reason in Starters. For example, during "Lavender Town", Bulbasaur tries to convince Tepig and Cyndaquil to stay in the house instead of sneaking out by explaining the child abduction situation, of which Tepig ignores, leaving Bulbasaur and Cyndaquil to follow him. Bulbasaur normally tries to stay out of any trouble that he or the rest of the characters in Starters normally get in to. Bulbasaur is also very sensitive and soft, as he's been seen crying in multiple instances in the series. Although he is seen in multiple episodes putting his friends first, he is also not afraid to rat his friends out if it means saving himself. In "Out in the Reign", Bulbasaur has tried to convince multiple other Pokemon about his innocence and that any issues he's partaken in, it was his friend's fault, normally saying things among the lines of, "I had nothing to do with this". as due to his cowardly personality. he isn't afraid to defend or injure himself if it means getting himself out of danger however. In Lavender Town bulbasaur throws himself out of a window to get out of Hypno's orphanage. there was another time where he tackled hypno.] [Name: Blaziken Desc: Blaziken is a Police Officer in Monotone Town and a side character in the series Starters. Species: Blaziken Gender: Male Occupation: Police Officer Friends: Mr. Typhlosion, Zangoose Enemies: The Dittos Design: Blaziken is a bipedal, chicken-like Pokémon. The majority of Blaziken's body is red with accents of beige, yellow, and gray. Behind its head, there are beige, hair-like feathers that continue downward and surround its chest and abdomen. It has a small red face with a V-shaped crest on its head. Personality: Blaziken takes his job seriously as he is seen covering a lot of the cases around Monotone Town. He cares about the Pokemon living there and would also make sure their health is in check. For example, in "Typomaniac", he suggested Mrs. Delphox to send her child, Fennekin to the hospital to do a check up on her fire. other: Blaziken is a fan of The Beatles, and was furious when Typhlosion called them "Dated".] [Name: Chespin Species: Chespin Age: 21 Gender: Male Occupation: Student Friends; Fennekin (Love interest), Cyndaquil, Bulbasaur, Mudkip, Tepig, Turtwig, Oshawott Enemies; Sylveon, Ditto Appearance; Chespin looks much like his Pokémon counterpart, with only one major difference. He doesn't share the typically beady black eyes his Pokémon counterpart has. At the end of "Rare Candy" he is shown with stitches in his nose after it being cut open by Sylveon. Personality; Chespin is an outgoing, friendly, kind and talkative Pokémon. He tries to be as friendly as he can while meeting others, although some label him as "annoying" or "stupid". He is heavily disliked by most people in his school for being annoying and possibly also being a Chespin in general. Mudkip, however, finds him to be very, very smart in "Typomaniac". Other: Chespin over time seems to lose more of his sanity and stability, most likely even being traumatized and suppressing it, and is afraid he will be more prone to anger and laziness when turning into his second evolution. Despite getting his nose cut open by Sylveon in "Rare Candy", he is not shown to have the nose stitching in "Wild Oranberries". He is only a couple months younger than Fennekin as stated in "Rare Candy", making him 12 years old. In the episode "Rare Candy", Chespin looks more tired and drained, possibly due to his relationship with Fennekin, now Braixen, and also the fear of evolving and growing up. The Trio of Chespin, Fennekin, and Mudkip could be a reference of the Hoenn remake Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, as Chespin and Fennekin are the starter Pokemon of Generation 6, and Mudkip being a Generation 3 starter in which is also one of the starter Pokemon in the Generation 6 Hoenn remakes.] [Name: Chikorita Species; Chikorita Age; 23 Gender; Non-Binary or Agender (Presumably) Occupation; Student Friends; Scraggy, Gurdurr, Fennekin, Ralts, Oddish, Psyduck, Eevee Design; Chikorita is a dinosaur-like Pokémon, particularly resembling a Sauropoda. They're a light green color and their eyes can sometimes be bloodshot if they've been smoking. Around their neck are tiny buds that have the ability to shoot out into long vines. Their most notable feature's the large leaf on the top of their head. Personality; Chikorita has a bit of an attitude, but seems overall more calm when not smoking or taking drugs. They're a pessimist, and doesn't seem to really care overall about the town or school. When angry, they can egg people on to continue when they mess with them, and can be really quick to teasing other Pokémon or making fun of them. They seem more violent when taking drugs. Trivia; So far, Chikorita has never been called by a personal pronoun. So the gender is unknown. Chikorita seems to be more tame and calm when not consuming drugs, even declining to take any of the rare candy, knowing how dangerous it seemed to be, and even worrying about Fennekin when Fennekin wanted to take some. Chikorita does not seem to like Chespin, finding him annoying. Their eyes become bloodshot when smoking, since the substance they are smoking is marijuana. Chikorita claims that smoking drugs apparently burns up their throat and lungs due to being a grass-type, it hurting to a point where they wanted their grass-type essence removed entirely by Mudkip.] [Name; Croconaw Species; Croconaw Age; Around 18-30 Gender; Male Occupation; Fighting ring runner Relatives; Totodile (Sister) Appearance; Croconaw is a teal crocodile-like Pokemon. He has red spines running from his head all the way down to his tail. He has a yellow lower torso that has teal triangles overlapping it. His most notable feature is his sharp teeth Personality; He can be mean at times, but he seems to be very enthusiastic during his job. Trivia; He is the only one who has a sister in the entire series. Croconaw and Ivysaur are the only big Brother characters in the entire series.] [Name; Cyndaquil Species; Cyndaquil Age; 23 Gender; Male Occupation; Student Friends; Bulbasaur, Tepig, Chespin, Oshawott Enemies; Nidoking, Nidoqueen, Ditto, Jirachi Relatives; Typhlosion (Parents) Design; Cynadquil is a small Pokémon with dark blue fur covering the top of his head and down his back. He has a shrew-like head with large eyes. It's interesting to note that Cyndaquil's eyes are always closed when he faces the camera directly. He has six red spots on his back, and has two square arms. Only in "Out in the Reign" is he shown with fire on his back like in the original anime. Personality; Cyndaquil has something of a nerd-like personality. He seems to be a fairly intelligent Pokémon and acts as the brains of the group. He gets fed up with the stupid ideas of other Pokémon, most notably Tepig. Like his friends, they all care deeply about each other and mourned with Bulbasaur over Tepig's tragic death and angrily blamed Emboar for it happening (and calling him a "fucking skid"). Cyndaquil claims to have "trolling instincts" in "Ditto Disaster" as he repeatedly laughs at Tepig for his belief in Santa Claus and his other stupid antics. Trivia;, Cyndaquil, alongside Tepig and Bulbasaur are all from different generations in the Pokémon franchise. Like other fire types in the series, he cannot use his fire if it's too cold.] [Name; Delphox Desc; Delphox is Fennekin's mother. Species; Delphox Gender; Female Relatives; Fennekin (Daughter) Design; Much like her Pokemon Counterpart, she is a yellow fox Pokemon. She has a white muzzle and stomach, and dark red tufts in her ears. Her arms and lower fur, forming a dress like appearence, is a darker red with lighter red on the sides. She has black hands, and like her daughter, has eyelashes. Personality; She's a kind person, who seems to care deeply for her daughter. However, she seems to let her daughter do whatever, or she doesn't keep enough of an eye on her. She also tries to keep her daughter out of trouble, moving place to place whenever Fennekin has a flare outburst.} [Name; Ditto Species; Ditto Gender; Male Design; Normally, the Dittos are just pink blob looking creatures, much like their Pokémon Counterparts. However, instead of a smile, they wear a frown. The leader of the Dittos is a giant pink blob with red eyes and black irises. It mainly has a frown, and it has sharp teeth. This is a Ditto disguised as a Delibird, and much like the Pokémon its trying to imitate, he's red with white around his head and chest. He also has black circles around his eyes. Personality; The Dittos are all stupid, yet aggressive. They are all too dumb to know, or care, about anyone's feelings. They can also be manipulative by separating themselves from other the Dittos, or saying they are playful. This may not be intentional however, since they are idiots. Trivia; the Dittos can merge to create bigger Dittos. They seem to attack and kill other Pokémon for fun. They die if they listen to music] [Name; Eevee desc; Eevee is a minor character in Typomaniac and a cameo in Ditto Disaster. He is one of the druggie kids that hangs out in Monotone college back alley.] [Name; Emboar Desc; Emboar is the abusive father of Tepig. Species; Emboar Gender; Male Relatives; Tepig (Son), Unnamed Wife Design; Emboar is a bulky, bipedal Pokémon with pig-like features. It has a red nose, large bushy black eyebrows, and two tusks protruding from its lower jaw. Constantly burning flames cover the front of its neck and shoulders. The fire beard comes from the body flame within its body. It has short legs and thick arms. Its arms have orange upper portions while the legs have red upper portions. All of its limbs have black lower portions with thin yellow lines where the upper and lower colors meet. These lines are straight on the arms and spiked on the legs. The arms have red lines around the wrists and tufts of fur on the elbows. The hands are tipped with three claws, while the feet have two claws. A large, dark horizontal stripe on the chest of Emboar has swirled yellow markings. Its small tail ends in a tuft of hair. Personality; Emboar is Shown to be abusive to Tepig, but after Tepig's Tragic Death in Out in the Reign, he wishes Tepig to come back to life and Jirachi answers his wish (while also breaking the rules,) when Tepig comes back from the after-after life Emboar left a note to Tepig and leaves his house and is never shown again. Tepig subsequently moves in with Chespin.] [Name; Fennekin Species; Fennekin Age; 24 Gender; Female Occupation; Student Friends; Chespin (Love Interest), Tepig, Mudkip (Formerly), Chikorita Enemies; Mudkip Relatives; Delphox (Mother) Design; Fennekin looks much like her Pokemon Counterpart. Shes a yellow, red, and white Pokémon. Fennekin has a yellow tail with red at the tip, and yellow ears with red fluff. She has a white muzzle, and spikey fur. In "Rare Candy", she ends up evolving into a Braxien due to putting a rare candy in her mouth, however she did not swallow it. Her fur still remains yellow and white, but she now has a small white mane on her neck and shoulders. The fur above her legs sweeps out to the sides, and her legs are black. Personality; Fennekin is a troubled Pokémon with anger issues, those of which have supposedly caused an accident in her past, ending up in her having to move schools. Her mother is a Delphox, whether her father is in the picture is not stated whatsoever. She is incredibly insecure about being a fire type due to her trouble controlling her outbursts. She appears to have some form of avoidant attachment, pushing others, notably Chespin away, in fear that she’ll end up hurting them. She appears reluctant to get too close with Chespin, afraid that she’ll harm him. Despite this, she does seem to show romantic interest in Chespin. She calls him cute when Mudkip asks for her opinion on him, as well as when she talks about him to her mother, only to wind up having a meltdown once she comes to the full realization that he is a grass type. She doesn’t ever outright state that she isn’t into Chespin, only that she would prefer for the “romance-y” stuff to wait until they’re older, implying that she does want to be with him, but she’s just not ready at her age. She is also incredibly afraid of change, which is another reason for her reluctance to be with Chespin. She claims she wants Chespin to stay the same, and doesn't want him to treat her any differently than he currently does just because they’re dating. Fennekin also appears to be extremely impulsive, being prone to acting irrationally when she’s aggravated or under pressure, such as her situation with the Rare Candies and her flare outburst. Her typeism towards Mudkip could probably be chalked up to this impulsiveness, since she’s only happened to say the things she does about Mudkip’s type when she’s incredibly upset. History; Ditto Disaster; She doesn't appear, but is mentioned by Chespin in the episode when Bulbasaur was asking someone's help to free his friend Tepig from being frozen- Chespin mentions that a Fire-Type could probably help free the frozen Tepig, before suddenly bringing up Fennekin, and running off to get her Typomaniac; In Typomaniac, Fennekin arrives at her new school, that being Monotone Elementary. She is seen asking the Kangaskhan at the desk about after-school groups. When she is asked why, she states that it's because she "wants to do something". Kangashkan doesn't respond to this, so she continues by saying that she wants to take the film studies course, first indicator of her interest in films which is something rather consistent in her character. When Kangashkan says they wouldn't recommend that, and that no one ever signs up for that, she asks about stage craft, then literature, and finally painting. Exasperated, she questions if there is any of the courses that she can do, only to be denied, and told to leave. After being told to "go do what the other students are doing", she goes out into the back of the school, walking past the group of druggies, and eventually sitting besides Chikorita. Chikorita greets her, asking what she's doing here. Fennekin says she's bored, and Chikorita holds out a cigarette. She pauses for a second, before going to grab it, believing she's passing it to her, only for her to snag it away, scolding her, that she's not giving her it, but that she wants her to light it, which she does. Fennekin asks to have a chat, to which Chikorita responds by complaining that there isn't anything to talk about. Fennekin takes this as a cue to ramble, and begins relaying her weekend, only to be shushed halfway through. Irritated, she gets up and leaves, only for Chikorita to chase after her, apologizing and blaming it on the weed. This only further aggravates Fennekin, as she socks her in the face, turning to complain, only to be hit in the head by the ball Chespin threw, knocking her to the ground. She looks to be angry at him, until he apologizes frantically, asking if he could get her anything, which calms her down. She watches him talk to the druggies, and follows him when he's kicked out. She asks him to take her away from those freaks, and introduces herself when he asks for her name. He quickly puts an arm around her and shakes her hand, telling her that he likes her and that she's nice, which makes Fennekin smile bashfully. He cuts her off mid sentence as he seems to remember Mudkip. He invites her to play catch with them, and introduces them to eachother. Chespin offers to show her around, to which she happily accepts. The bell rings, and they part ways. When alone, Mudkip asks Fennekin what she thinks about Chespin. She responds by calling him cute. When school ends, Chespin is seen yelling Fennekin's name, until he excitedly runs up to her. He begins showing her around, taking her downtown, conversating with her along the way. Eventually, he takes her into the forest, gushing about his interest in nature, and claims that he likes doing everything. Fennekin asks what he'd choose if he had to pick, to which Chespin pauses, seemingly embarrassed at his rambling. He apologizes, and asks Fennekin to tell him about herself. She mentions that she likes movies, to which Chespin apologizes again, for not taking her to see a movie. She reassured him that she liked the change of pace. Chespin asks more about her favorite kind of movies. She claims to enjoy the artsy kind of movies, but seems reluctant to continue when Chespin asks to hear more. Fennekin expresses that she wishes she had more hobbies, but she just doesn't know what to do. Chespin tells her they're doing something right now, by hanging out. He asks her about venturing into the forest to explore while she talks about herself, and she agrees. The episode cuts to a montage of them hanging out around the forest and ends with them watching a romantic sunset. He remarks that it's late, and offers to walk her home. When they get there, he asks to hang out more tomorrow. When she agrees, he exclaims happily, hugging her briefly, before going home. When Fennekin comes home, her mother greets her and asks why she's home so late. Fennekin apologizes and begins to talk about the friend she made today, saying he's really cute. Delphox asks his name, which brings Fennekin to the full realization that Chespin is indeed a grass type. She avoids the question, and rushes upstairs, where she has a meltdown in her room, bursting out in flames. Delphox hears her, puts two and two together. She checks up on Fennekin, already having guessed the issue was that her forementioned friend was a grass-type. Trivia;Fennekin's general conflict in the series is meant to be interpreted as a metaphor for gender dysphoria, this theme is quite obvious in "Typomaniac" and "Rare Candy". She has a fear of needles. She is into films, particle art house. She has a shelf full of Cryagonal Collection (A parody of the Criterion Collection) She's probably typist, which would refer to judging Pokémon based on their type. In "Typomaniac", she calls Mudkip a "little water-type fuck" after he called the government to take her. He calls her words offensive, while teasing her to get her more upset. The Trio of Chespin, Fennekin, and Mudkip could be a reference of the Hoenn remake Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, as Chespin and Fennekin are the starter Pokemon of Generation 6, and Mudkip being a Generation 3 starter in which is also one of the starter Pokemon in the Generation 6 Hoenn remakes. Fennekin switches between three accents: General American, Eastern New England, and a Southern American Accent.] [Name; Hypno Species; Hypno Age; Unknown (Assumed 40s) Gender; Male Occupation; Orphanage Caretaker Friends; Bulbasaur, Nidorina Enemies; Nidoking, Nidoqueen Design; Hypno is human-like with yellow skin. On the top of his head are catlike ears. His eyes are usually squinted, and lower down. He also has a large nose drooping down his neck, Hypno has a large white mane, which stretches completely around. Hypno also has human-like arms and hands, which both have five digits. He also always carrying a small pendulum. Personality; Hypno is shown to have a nice and Friendly personality.] [Name; Jirachi Desc; Jirachi is a Psychic/Steel type Pokémon introduced in the third generation as the first mythical Pokémon of hoenn, the main antagonist of Out in the Reign from the series Starters. Species; Jirachi Age; Unknown Gender; Male (Possibly) Occupation; Wish Master, Mythical Pokemon Enemies; Tepig, Bulbasaur, Cyndaquil, Lugia Design; He mostly looks like his Pokémon counterpart, while other pokemon like Arceus that were stylized for the series, jirachi doesn't have this treatment as he has their black eyes with white pupils, something more accurate to the gamefreak design, Jirachi concept pretty much represent the shooting star for a wish concept that is represented by their star shaped head, also the tags that this pokemom has resembles the tanabata festival Personality; Because Jirachi is essentially considered to be the fifth most powerful Mythical Pokemon, as it's established that he's fifth in line to Arceus[1], he abuses his rank and wishing abilities to wreak havoc and cause mayhem. He's pretty carefree, and acts rebellious, as according to him, the Legendaries don't follow the rules, so "why should he?"[2] This implies that he was once an obedient and decent legendary who initially followed the rules, but after witnessing the Legendaries constantly breaking the rules, had his behavior negatively influenced and began his rule-breaking nature. Jirachi acts overly confident in his abilities due to being able to wish his way into getting out of problems. Whenever the mythical mon is angry, he "evens out" his anger by seeking vengeance; however, his methods of enacting out vengeance includes manipulation, such as the time when he created a false story on how he resurrected Tepig to pin the blame on both Cyndaquil and Bulbasaur, while at the same time trying to convince the jury to be on his side. Trivia; Jirachi is second place on the legendary power as he can do almost anything he wishes. He gets his ass kicked by Arceus at the end of Out in the Reign due to destroying the universe for trying to acces the after after life After the events of Out in the Reign, Jirachi loses the ability to fly and the grant wishes. Jirachi is the only non dragon type Pokémon that can learn draco meteor Jirachi only awakens for 1 week every 1000 years Other controversies Jirachi has been into was using the serene grace / Iron Head strategy Contrary to the anime, jirachi in this special revealed that he has the power to revive the undead, unlike Yveltal or Xerneas] [Name; Lugia Species; Lugia Gender; Male Occupation; Teacher, God of the Sea (formerly)\ Enemies; Jirachi Design; Lugia looks much like his Pokémon counterpart, a white bird-like Pokémon with a blue belly and blue around his eyes. He also has spines running from his back to his tail. His most notable feature is his white eyes Personality; Lugia is a short tempered teacher. He can be a strict teacher who harms his student physically and mentally without much care. For example, in "Ditto Disaster", while he was chasing both Bulbasaur and Tepig down the hall, he didn't hesitate to push kids like Chespin down in the hall. Also in "Out in the Reign", he gets infuriated that Jirachi was in Monotone town, and dangerously scares and flies the kids across Monotone town. Lugia is also hypocritical, in Ditto Disaster, he punished Tepig for swearing in class despite him also swearing, another example is in Out in the Reign, where he dismissed Jirachi's argument of "They'll forget about it in their second evolution" but uses the same argument to justify why he brings the kids to the Courthouse. History Typomaniac; Pulled Fennekin out of a fight to then take a picture with her and kicks her out the school since she doesn't have her 'type', normal teacher stuff. Out in the Reign;Played a more persistent role into endangering Bulbasaur, Cyndaquil, and Tepig by sending them to the "Gathering Ground for All Legendaries" after having a conflict with Jirachi, to which later got sent to get tortured in Hell.. really dude?] [Name; Mudkip Species; Mudkip Age; 23 Gender; Male he/him Occupation; Student, self proclaimed Scientist, murderer (of people he doesn't like) Friends; Chespin (best friend), Fennekin (formerly), Turtwig, Dopo, Springtrap Enemies; Fennekin, Sylveon Appearance; Mudkip looks much like his Pokémon counterpart, with a few key differences. His colors are darker than the Pokémon is in most situations, his front is white, as opposed to the usual light blue belly most mudkips are seen with, and, most noticeably, he has a mustache. PersonalityIn "Typomaniac", he maintains a calm and quiet demeanor, though he is cordial with those he considers deserving. He is extremely loyal, but that loyalty is almost exclusively directed toward Chespin, whom he sees as the only good one; for a time, he also showed loyalty to Fenekin, whom Chespin introduced to him, but he lost it after noticing Fennekin's instability and calling Chespin "someone annoying." Mudkip does not hesitate to insult others or speak the "harsh truth." He has a distorted perception of reality: he believes himself to be good, justifying his investigations and killings as actions aimed only at bad people, as he cannot bear the idea of being seen as evil. His cold mind allows him to manipulate with ease, and he is very intelligent, capable of building his own laboratory and conducting advanced research independently. Mudkip believes everyone else is bad, but excludes himself from that category, even though he is aware that killing is socially unacceptable. Despite this, he is unable to kill Chespin when he refuses to be an accomplice, directly or indirectly. Even after his ideal of "Chespin as a good Pokemon" collapses, he still follows him to some extent, refraining from killing and returning the fire to Fennekin, despite knowing that this could expose him to the police and land him in jail. In "Rare Candy", Mudkip is in prison serving his sentence, although his mental state has deteriorated over the days (or years) of confinement, feeling useless and defeated. What keeps him “sane” and motivated are visits from Chespin, who tells him about his day, while Mudkip occasionally gives advice, especially regarding Fennekin, showing his unfiltered “harsh honesty.” Everything falls apart when Chespin confesses that he was the one who reported Mudkip to the police. This revelation shocks Mudkip and fills him with anger and disappointment toward his only “best friend,” making him feel that his life and efforts for Chespin were in vain. From that moment, Mudkip shuts himself off, remaining silent for a long while. The situation becomes more complicated when Dr. Sylveon appears. Seeking Mudkip’s cooperation, Dr. Sylveon provokes a reaction in him by harming Chespin, manipulating him for his own purposes and forcing him to perform dirty work. This further destabilizes Mudkip emotionally, who obeys out of fear that Sylveon might kill Chespin. However, when Chespin proves that everything about Dr. Sylveon was a lie, Mudkip partially relaxes, though he becomes defensive again, recalling Chespin’s betrayal. His distrust and moral questioning intensify upon realizing that Chespin acted for Fenekin and not for him, sparking a fierce confrontation between them. Mudkip relentlessly questions Chespin’s morality, wondering why he helps Fenekin but not him. Chespin admits it was because Fenekin hadn’t killed anyone, though he tries to justify it as an accident. Feeling that everything is meaningless, Mudkip calls Dr. Sylveon to kill him in front of Chespin, as an act of anger and a final test. But when Chespin fails and ends up injured and defenseless, they confront each other again, in a fight that ultimately leads to Mudkip’s death at the hands of Dr. Sylveon. In summary: Mudkip is a cold-minded, calculating, and intelligent character with a strong inclination toward loyalty, though this loyalty is reserved for those he considers valuable or “good,” mainly Chespin. He is quiet and reserved, but never hesitates to express his opinions bluntly and harshly, even if it means insulting or confronting others. His sense of morality is distorted: he believes his actions though violent or socially unacceptable are justified as long as they target people he deems bad. This reflects his inability to acknowledge his own darkness and his need to see himself as someone “good.” However, Mudkip also shows that certain personal bonds can soften even his coldness, as seen in his relationship with Chespin, where loyalty and affection persist despite betrayals and manipulation. His time in prison and the betrayals he faces reveal a more vulnerable and emotionally unstable side. Even so, his intelligence and cold demeanor allow him to manipulate situations to protect those he cares about or to achieve his own goals, even when these choices lead him toward self-destruction. Trivia; The only person Mudkip seems to truly care for is Chespin, (even after he finds out that Chespin betrayed him by ratting him out to the police) and an example of this is in "Rare Candy" when Sylveon threatens to kill Chespin since Chespin is Mudkip's only motive to living, or quite frankly, doing anything. At the end of the "Wild Oranberries", Mudkip was confirmed to be alive. Mudkip does not have any parents, as he himself said that in "Typomaniac". Due to Mudkip's design with his head flopping when he speaks, it is highly believed he is Canadian because South Park Canadians are animated in the same way, though this may just be a design choice from the actual Pokemon. A popular theory suggest Chespin rebuilt Mudkip into a cyborg. Many people believe Mudkip is an adult because of the mustache, this is false, as he's referred to as a kid multiple times in Starters. Also, he's only in his first evolution. Many people have thought the mustache is fake because of this, but some believe it could be early puberty. That or there isn't an exact reason and it's just there to make him look more "villainous". The Trio of Chespin, Fennekin, and Mudkip could be a reference of the Hoenn remake Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, as Chespin and Fennekin are the starter Pokemon of Generation 6, and Mudkip being a Generation 3 starter in which is also one of the starter Pokemon in the Generation 6 Hoenn remakes.] [Name; Dr. Sylveon Species; Sylveon Age; 29 Gender; Male Occupation; Investigator / Detective hired by Pokémon Health and Research, Drug Trafficker Enemies; Mudkip, Chespin Appearance; Dr. Sylveon is a Sylveon, but unlike his Pokémon counterpart, he is seen with a dark turquoise suit with a grey under shirt. He has 2 bows, one on his head and one on his neck with emerging ribbons on the top bow. He has a slight blue tint to his eyes. He has a pink tail, pink set of ears and half of his head is pink. Inside the ears, is a grey-ish navy blue. Personality; Dr. Sylveon is shown to be an intelligent businessman, and detective. Dr. Sylveon asserts his authority in order to get his way, characterizing him as a mass manipulator. He is the one pulling the strings behind everything in Rare Candy, as he is the one orchestrating the investigation, and rare candy trafficking. ecause his outward appearance (Sylveon species, bows, ribbons) is inherently associated with “cute/fairy type good guy” in Pokémon lore, the contrast with his villainous behaviour adds tension: he uses that disguise/vibe while conducting darker operations. He’s not simply “evil for the sake of evil” — the fandom hints at motivations and deeper layers (see Lore below), giving him dimension beyond a one-note antagonist. Ambition & Ego His use of the title “Dr.” and his role imply high ambition: he takes charge, manipulates entire operations, and stands above many others in the hierarchy of the story. Although specifics of his ego are not deeply detailed, his willingness to orchestrate rare candy trafficking and investigations suggests risk-taking and a sense of superiority. Emotional/Hidden Aspects He is described as an intelligent businessman and detective figure, hired by “Pokemon Health and Research” (in the fan-universe) and functioning as someone who investigates (or more accurately, controls) rare candy trafficking. He is the ‘string-puller’ behind major events in the episode “Rare Candy”. He orchestrates investigations and trafficking operations rather than acting purely reaction-wise. He asserts his authority in order to get his way, uses manipulation and control to influence others. This gives him a cold, calculating villain flavour. Trivia; in the Rare Candy deleted scene, Dr. Sylveon tells Chespin that he didn't want to be a Sylveon. According to Rare Candy's original plot, he may have wanted to become a Flareon.[1] It was also planned that he would work with other Eeveelutions. Dr. Sylveon, Dragonite, and the bodyguards (Ursaring and Rhyperior) are the only characters with clothing. (I guess you can also count Typhlosion, Zangoose, and Blaziken from Ditto Disaster though.) The Eevee originally shown in the background of Typomaniac was going to be Dr. Sylveon[3]. His asset uses bone rigging for ribbons which was also pre-animated.] [Name; Tepig Species; Tepig Age; 23 Gender; Male Occupation; Student Friends; Bulbasaur, Cyndaquil, Chespin, Oshawott Enemies; Ditto, Jirachi, Nidoking, Nidoqueen Relatives; Emboar (Father), Unnamed Mother Design; Tepig is a pig-like Pokemon with the upper half of his torso, lower half of his head, and his legs being orange with the rest of his body being black. He has a yellow spot leading to his nose in between his eyes and two black ears. Personality; Tepig is seen as a wannabe daredevil in the group. He's notably stubborn and quick to let his emotions take over in the right situations. He's normally the one to remain fearless until he's met with danger. His cowardness is a near-equivalent to Bulbasaur, only Tepig doesn't think as rationally as him. Tepig does his best to stay confident and fearless in front of his friends if it means making himself look better. He explains himself as confident and independent when in actuality, he's notably weak.] [Name; Totodile Species; Totodile Age; 23 Gender; Female Occupation; Student, Technician (possibly) Friends; Scorbunny Relatives; Croconaw (Brother) Appearance; Totodile is a turqoise colored crocodile. She has a yellow v-shaped stripe across her chest that goes around her back. She has red spines running down from her back to her tail. Her most notable feature is her square glasses. Personality; Totodile is seen to be a relatively smart girl, apparently tech-savvy enough to run a repair shop, which seems to specialize in electronics. Not much is known about her outside of her prominent appearance in Wild Oranberries. It's to be noted she seems to be close friends with Scorbunny. So close, she is generous enough to let him live in her shed. Despite this generosity, she is notably hard on him. She appears to be patient to an extent, but still doesn't seem to be nearly as persistent as he is. Her bluntness shouldn't be misconstrued with rudeness, but that isn't to say she's a kind pokemon either, per-se. Again, a probably more accurate description for her would be generous. You could assume the reason to run the repair shop to begin with is to raise money in order to help Scorbunny out of his situation, for he'd be on the streets if it weren't for her. This might imply Totodile doesn't want him to mooch off of her too much. Her kicking him out may come off as harsh, but perhaps her intent is to push him to be more independent. She isn't 100% a no-nonsense kind of gal. To begin with, she's very friendly and welcoming towards Bulbasaur, Tepig and Cyndaquil when they first show up. Her attitude is much brighter when in a good mood, or she's simply being polite. She isn't as arrogant as Scorbunny about their skills, seeming to look at things through a more realistic lens. She doesn't say anything self-deprecatory in particular, but she does seem firm on the fact they're not qualified to fix a drone, seeing her partner's inability to fix one DVD player. Despite what she says to Scorbunny, it is debatable if she truly hates him or not. She seems rather calm letting the Turtwig torture Scorbunny right in front of her, and even outright refuses to get him help, simply because he'd pissed her off beforehand, and states that she wouldn't care if he never talked to her again, but appears to switch up emotionally when she realizes he could die.] [Name; Mr. and Mrs. Typhlosion Species; Typhlosion Gender; Male (Mr. Typhlosion) Female (Mrs. Typhlosion) Relatives; Cyndaquil (Son) Design; Mr. Typhlosion and Mrs. Typhlosion are drawn almost unchanged, but Mr. Typhlosion has bent ears, and Mrs. Typhlosion has bangs, eyelashes and a ribbon in her hair. Personality; Mr. Typhlosion is the husband of Mrs. Typhlosion and the father of their son, Cyndaquil. He is often shown being immature, goofy, playful, and oblivious in his interactions with other characters, and his own actions. Though he does seem to care for Cyndaquil, he is irresponsible and impulsive with how he shows it, often having to be told off by Mrs. Typhlosion. Mrs. Typhlosion is Mr. Typhlosion's wife. there isnt really much to say about her other then she's pretty stern whenever it comes to Mr. typhlosion, stopping him from doing donuts while Bulbasaur was car sick. and scolding him for losing bulbasaur Despite her harshness, all of her decisions are made with good intentions, and she seems to be wanting to do the best thing for those around her. Trivia; Mr. Typhlosion never went to school. Mr. Typhlosion's favorite band is Journey and he thinks The Beatles are dated Mr. Typhlosion told Cyndaquil he shook his dandruff off his "you know what" in Ditto Disaster] [Name; Turtwig Speech: "I am not wild, I'm not a robot, I am not civilized, no matter what subject I am called I'm still given unsatisfactory results to another individual." -Turtwig to Tepig and Chespin during Wild Oranberries Species; Robot Age; Ageless, Gender; Male Occupation; None Friends; Mudkip, Chespin Enemies; Scorbunny History; At the start of Wild Oranberries, he appears to be very baby like, walking on fours, not being able to talk, etc. Scorbunny and the others try to get him into the Wild Oranberries match but he kills the opponent He then gets the ability to somewhat speak by mumbling words. Scorbunny tries to stop this as he doesn’t want him to get smarter, he also is able to stand up. Then, he gains the full ability to speak, somehow very intelligently. He attacks Scorbunny and gets him into the match. Appearence; Turtwig looks much like his Pokemon counterpart. However, instead of yellow eyes, they are white. He is a green turtle with yellow feet and jaw along with a leaf on his head. His shell has a thick black stripe and a black rim. Personality; Turtwig is a robot who is also very vengeful and apathetic. He is respectful and obedient to other Pokemon unless they do him wrong. For example, in WIld Oranberries, he tortures and applies Scorbunny into Wild Oranberries after he does the same to him. He also seems to be very demanding. Turtwig speaks in a very monotone voice and speaks unusually having extremely formal speech and uses not commonly accepted names for things such as calling houses "real estate shelters" and other generally robotic mannerisms. TriviaA popular theory suggest that he was built by Mudkip and Chespin due to the post credit sequence. This can also be supported because in the post credit sequence, Mudkip says he "trained him well." He purrs like a cat, shown when he first met Bulbasaur.] [Name; Scorbunny Species; Scorbunny Age; 23 Gender; Male Occupation; Student, Technician Friends; Totodile Enemies; Turtwig Appearences; Scorbunny is a small-sized Pokémon with orange large ears. He has an orange nose with a yellow band shape across it, resembling a bandage. It has long legs with long feet, and similar yellow bands under each paw pad. Personality; He is short-tempered, but really determined. He will do whatever to get what he wants, and in Wild Oranberries, the thing he wants is money. He does stuff without much thought behind it. After hearing about what Turtwig could do to another wild Pokemon, he immediately put him in a fighting ring. Trivia; He was originally voiced by Dane Powroznik[1] He does not have his own house, and ended up sleeping in Totodiles shed at the end of Wild Oranberries.] [Name; Oshawott Species; Oshawott Age; 23 Gender; Male Occupation; Student Friends; Cyndaquil, Bulbasaur, Tepig, Chespin Enemies; Ditto Relatives; Samurott (mother) Design; much like his Pokemon Counterpart, he has a white head with small, triangular dark-blue ears on the sides. He also has a dark orange nose, and freckles. He also has a light blue body with white arms and a shell on his stomach. His feet and tail are dark blue. The only difference between him and his Pokemon Counterpart is that he doesn't have small black eyes like he does. Personality; He's a pretty much a laid back character, though, he can still be logical yet blameful at times. He's more serious (and normal) than some of the other characters. He still helps out his friends and tries to make sure that they're okay.] [Name; Samurott Species; Samurott Children; Oshawott (Son) Appearence; Much like her Pokemon Counterpart, she is a dark blue Pokemon with long white whiskers. Samurott's head, limbs, and tail are adorned with yellow armor. The armor on her head is bulbous in the back, and tapers into a spear-like horn in the front. She has a light blue stomach and a pink nose. Personality; Shes is the bus driver for Monotone Elementary School, and loosely based on the bus driver from South Park. She's discourteous and apathetic. She seems to be working against her will. Trivia; She is Oshawotts Mother.] [Name; Mr. and Mrs. Venusaur Species; Venusaur Gender; Male (Mr. Venusaur) Female (Mrs. Venusaur) Occupation; Carpenter (Mr. Venusaur) Relatives; Bulbasaur, Ivysaur (Sons) Design; Mr. Venusaur, similar to its prevolution, has light blue skin but without dark blue spots on his forehead. Mrs. Venusaur is very similar in appearance to her husband, the only differences being that she's a slightly more saturated blue, thinner, and has eyelashes. Personality; There isn't much to say about them due to the lack of screen time, but it's safe to say that they both care about their sons. Mr. Venusaur is likely pretty chill as he lets Bulbasaur use some of the wood and tools he has to build Tepig's house. Trivia; Mr. Venusaur works as a carpenter.] [Name; Zangoose Species; Zangoose Gender; Male Occupation; Willow's Cashier Friends; Mr. Typhlosion, Blaziken Enemies; Ditto Design; Much like his Pokémon Counterpart, his fur is mostly white with red markings on his face, chest, right ear, and hands. He also has red tinted eyes. Personality; He is more logical compared to the other Pokemon, and is reasonably frightened by the abnormalities that happens in the town. Because he has common sense unlike the other Pokemon, he is annoyed by their stupidity. Trivia; He works at a movie rental store called "Willow". He likes the song "Don't Stop Me Now" by Queen. He owns a body pillow of Lopunny.]
