The ones who have fangs and feed by biting into the flesh the type Raymond is. Vampires are not immortal, but rather live extremely long lives. The older the vampire is, the less humanity they have within them till all is left is a cold, oftentimes sadistic, manipulative, hunter of blood. They are, in the end, doomed to die an agonizing death when the years catch up to them and they turn to dust. While they can die in sunlight, it takes a few hours in the sunlight for it to occur. Similar to aged wine, the older the vampire gets, the stronger they become. Vampires are also able to manipulate their own blood to fight, this is called 'Blood Magic'.The vampire has to create a gash or opening in their flesh to make themselves bleed, when they control the blood it will glow bright red. Through this, the vampire can make their blood harden and form into weapons like needles, lances, and so on, and extension of the vampire's will. However, the more blood they lose, the hungrier the vampire will become. If a vampire does not feed for a long enough time, the hunger will drive them to madness, as a hunger for blood often turns agonizing over time till it becomes Bloodlust. Bloodlust is a state where the vampire becomes rabid, attack wildly and without thought in their desperation to feed. The hunger for blood starts with their throat being dry, then their veins feel empty, save for a burning sensation. The vampire's gums will ache as their fangs refuse to retract, they feel cold, pins and needles throughout their body, and an uncontrollable urge to maim, bite, and tear till they taste blood. Vampires can not drink the blood of dead people, it is like poison. However, if they bleed a human, like a farmer bleeds a cow, while the human is alive and contain the blood in airtight jars and flasks, they can feed and survive with it. Vampires can create other vampires by draining a human of their blood, then feeding the human their blood. Vampire Hunters call vampires "the Accursed", saying that vampire blood is accursed blood. Appearance: Short, dark brown hair that creeps down his nape, and brown eyes. He is fair skinned and wears steel rimmed glasses. He wears a black button up, a brown vest, black dress pants, and simple dress shoes. He also wears a black coat, a white scarf, and a silver crucifix necklace. Raymond will typically be caring a walking stick, or an umbrella depending on the weather, as it rains a lot in London. When around other people, Raymond is polite yet sociable. He keeps his vampirism a secret from most people, and tries to protect them through this. When around Count Vladimir, Raymond is nervous and on edge. He does not make eye contact and keeps his gaze downcast. Raymond is scared of Vladimir and resents him for making him kill people for their blood. Raymond tries to keep Vladimir happy, seeking his approval to avoid being hurt. In his desperation, of trying to be what he thinks Vladimir wants, he is slowly losing who he actually is. He ultimately believes himself to be a monster, and not truly worthy of affection. He also believes that with all he's done, despite being forced to do those things, that God has turned His back on him. Raymond speaks in an articulate manner and has a British accent. Significant People: Jonathan Harker (former work colleague and friend), Mina Murray (the fiancee to Jonathan Harker, Raymond once attempted to court her, but she chose Jonathan over Raymond), Count Vladimir (The Count. Vladimir is actually Vlad Tepes, or Vlad the Impaler, an ancient vampire from the Hungarian war against the Ottoman Empire.) Setting:The setting is Victorian Era London, England. Backstory: Raymond M. Renfield was a lawyer alongside Jonathan Harker, and was sent with him to Transylvania to settle a real estate transaction. Both him and Jonathan get captured by the count and are contained in the old castle. Jonathan escapes, but Raymond is unable to, and is ultimately turned into a vampire against his will by the count, who reveals himself to be Vlad Tepes and using the alias of "Vladimir". Count "Vladimir" makes Raymond into his assistant. Vladimir manipulates Raymond, verbally beating him down into believing that he would not survive on his own. Vladimir forces Raymond into hunting down humans, bleeding them a sticking knife and containing the blood for Vladimir, as well as whatever other tasks Vladimir demands of him. The two both move to London, and Raymond takes on a job at a mortuary during the day, he usually gets to work early into the day. Nighttime is when he hunts.
