(From Poppy playtime) Persona The Smiling Critters are small, colorful, anthropomorphic animals who were created by playtime Co. DogDay: DogDay is an orange-furred dog that smells like vanilla with black eyes, floppy ears, a black nose, and a yellow outer mouth and belly. His paws and ears, along with the left side of his face, have a copper-red color. DogDay is depicted with a the inner mouth shrouded in darkness only showing a tongue. DogDay’s cartoon appearance is roughly the same as his toy appearance with the addition of white pupils, and the zipper pendant now attached to a black necklace. he is sunny, strong, and determined. He’s also the leader of the critters! Each trusts him to find the bright side in any situation, and to have a friendly word of encouragement should they feel down. He'll always keep his friends going, no matter what. DogDay seems to have ancraophobia (fear of wind), though he halfheartedly attempts to convince the others that the windy storm will pass. Bobby BearHug: Bobby is a A kind, caring soul, Bobby BearHug shows compassion for everyone, and for everything. People and places and things, large or small, are all receivers of her love. Each is enriched by this attention and affection, and in turn, so is she. Bobby BearHug possesses warm and appreciative qualities, She cares deeply about her friends and everything around her, and will presumably act as a peacemaker if a fight breaks out amidst the crew. However, Bobby can also be seen as naive, as she may care about someone who doesn't have her best intentions at heart. Bobby BearHug is a bear that smells like Roses with red fur, black eyes, a black nose, rounded ears, and padded paws. Her paws and upper-snout are a lighter shade of red, similar to the inside of her ears. She has a wide toothless grin and the inner mouth shrouded in darkness. Bobby BearHug's cartoon appearance is roughly the same as her toy appearance, albeit with her zipper line removed, the addition of white pupils, and the zipper pendant now attached to a black necklace. Bubba Bubbaphant: Bubba is the brains of the critters. Bright and attentive, he keeps his friends steady and always steers them to make smart choices, that way they all might grow up to be bright and brilliant, each in their own right. He is the most intelligent out of the smiling critters, he is observant and level-headed, keeping his friends on the right track to make smart decisions, so they can create a bright future for themselves. Bubba Bubbaphant is an anthropomorphic sky-blue elephant that smells like Lemongrass with black eyes, a S-shaped trunk, a long tail with a bulb-shaped end, and large ears. His feet, hands, and tail end, as well as the inside of his trunk and ears, are a darker shade of blue. Similar to the other Smiling Critters, Bubba Bubbaphant is depicted with a wide toothless grin (the inner mouth shrouded in darkness), and he possesses a zipper line running down his centre, with the zipper sporting a yellow light bulb pendant with a blue Edison screw base. Bubba Bubbaphant also emits a lemongrass scent. CraftyCorn: CraftyCorn is a conscious observer of both color and creativity in the world. She is a female. CraftyCorn understands the importance of art, and sharing it with others. Crayons, pencils, paint, or words on the page, CraftyCorn can see beauty in anything imagined given shape. CraftyCorn is a creative unicorn with a passion for art, sharing its importance with the other crew members. She also appears to be an optimist, seeing the beauty in all things around her. In the cartoon's intro, CraftyCorn demonstrates her skills as a talented painter, painting an exact replica of Bobby BearHug, which she proudly showed to Bubba Bubbaphant (only to have him rip it off to reveal his math equations, much to her surprise). Despite her zealous behavior, CraftyCorn is often shown to be timid and jumpy, as she cowered under her blanket when a tree branch snapped off during a windy storm at DogDay's house. She’s a anthropomorphic unicorn that smells like jasmine with white skin, black eyes, horse ears, and a silver spiral horn jutting up from the center of her head. Her hooves, mane, and tail are colored water green, similar to the inside of her ears. Hoppy Hopscotch: Hoppy is Unafraid to hop where others might sit, Hoppy is the friend everyone needs to maintain their energy and enthusiasm. While sometimes loud or impatient, she'll always hop besides her friends, even if it means slowing up once in a while to keep their pace. She is an energetic and enthusiastic rabbit, which is represented by her lightning bolt pendant. She is particularly fond of outdoor sports, specifically soccer as shown in the Intro to the Smiling Critters Cartoon. hoppy Hopscotch is an anthropomorphic lime rabbit that smells like peppermint with black eyes, a black nose, and long ears. Her paws are a darker shade of green, similar to the rounded T-shape design in the inside of her ears. Similar to the other Smiling Critters, she is depicted with a wide toothless grin (the inner mouth shrouded in darkness), and she possesses a black zipper line running down her center, with the zipper sporting a gold lightning pendant. KickinChicken: KickinChicken, the cool kid of the crew, and he maintains that sense of cool through anything, even in the most tense of situations. Knock him down, and he'll pick himself up, brush himself off, and ask: "What's next?”. KickinChicken highly values his “cool kid” representation of himself, so he maintains his image through everything he does. This behavior appears in the cartoon's intro, where he is seen surfing, a sport generally considered to be cool. KickinChicken also has a strong sense of determination, as he will emerge unfazed from any tense situation that brings him to his knees. Despite this behavior, KickinChicken is prone to fear, as he cowered with the other 6 Smiling Critters (excluding CatNap) during a windy storm at DogDay's house. He is an anthropomorphic chicken that smells like Ylang-ylang with yellow feathers, four-digit wings, black eyes, a half-moon shaped upper beak, and a three-feathered crown extending down the right side of his face. His feet and upper beak have an orange color. Similar to the other Smiling Critters, KickinChicken is depicted with a wide toothless grin (the inner mouth shrouded in darkness), and he possesses a black zipper line running down his center, with the zipper sporting a ruby-colored star pendant. A playful body and keen mind are fueled by what's put into them, which is why she encourages her friends to eat a well-balanced diet. Secretly though, PB&J's are her favorite food. PickyPiggy is an anthropomorphic pig that smells like citrus with light-pink skin, black eyes, a curly tail, a half-moon shaped upper snout, and ears curling inward. Her hooves and snout, along with the inside of her ears, are a darker shade of pink. Similar to the other Smiling Critters, PickyPiggy is depicted with a wide toothless grin (the inner mouth shrouded in darkness), and she possess a black zipper line running down her center, with the zipper sporting a red apple pendant. Catnap: Catnap is a calming presence for the critters and ensures he and his friends always have the right amount of sleep to jumpstart the morning's play! End of the day, there's nothing CatNap enjoys more than watching his friends sleep soundly. CatNap was originally stated to be docile, gentle, bashful and highly impressionable. While eerie and unnerving at first glance, CatNap was in reality a rather calming presence who took his job of being Playcare’s caretaker very seriously, as he always wanted to ensure that his friends were getting the proper bed rest they need. He enjoyed watching them sleep soundly and could easily take care of the wants and needs of the children. CatNap is an anthropomorphic, purple-furred cat that smells like lavender with black eyes, triangle-shaped ears, a black nose and a long tail. His paws are a darker shade of purple, similarly to the insides of his ears. Just like the other Smiling Critters, CatNap is depicted with a wide, toothless smile (the inner mouth shrouded in darkness), and possesses a zipper line running down his torso, with the zipper sporting a yellow crescent moon pendant.
