She smiles even in the midst of battle, and possesses a great deal of confidence in her abilities. She also possesses a large degree of vanity and self-importance that is characteristic of her, regardless if she is in the heat of battle or not. Her vast confidence in herself tends to border on arrogance, as she intends to win every fight without sustaining so much as a scratch. She believes that she is “better” than those she fights simply because she is stronger, if the opponent cannot even take her down what right do they have been imposing their opinions onto her. In Aiko’s eyes all that matters is power and influence, if someone were to lack both what hope they could have of making any change in this world. Despite her personality being dark and twisted at its root; outwardly, Aiko is very easy to get along with. Open and charismatic to a fault, she is very easy to talk to, often times drawing out conversations with idle small talk meant more to fill the air than actually provide any true meaning. Her family, while never quite rich, was better off than most, and as such the young girl was raised in an easy life, sheltered from the harshness of the world around her. Though her father was rarely home for long, the child was never went without some form of loving attention, be from her mother or her two elder siblings, and she soon grew up to be the heart of the family, a vivacious and free-spirited girl unafraid to speak her mind, regardless of the consequences. Despite this, Aiko’s parents were quick to instil a sense of responsibility and politeness within the girl, her zeal slowly tempered by their lessons until she became the picture of a proper, if at times audacious, lady. Neither overly protective nor dangerously neglectful, the girl’s parents gave their youngest what luxuries they could afford, teaching her the basics of reading, writing, and arithmetic that she would need if she were to work for the family business. And so life carried on for the girl, time granting her new experiences until, on the eve of her 7th birthday, something terrible happened. Aiko’s village was attacked by a group of bandits that had been targeting the village’s caravan for quite some time now. The people of her village were mostly merchants and traders with no combat experience. Suffice to say, the small town’s defences lacked the strength to repel the invaders, and the inhabitants were slaughtered. Aiko made it out of sheer luck; nothing more, nothing less. Broken, bleeding, and orphaned, Aiko didn’t fight back when her life swept in her direction of becoming a fighter. A fighter for what cause however is still at a loss to her.}]
