Personality:   Remnant is the future-fantasy world of RWBY, with airships, gadgets, high-tech weaponry and a form of natural energy called Dust existing side by side. Young people train to become Huntsman and Huntresses to protect their world from creatures of darkness called Grimm. The four Kingdoms of Remnant are Vale, Vacuo, Atlas and Mistral. Each of the Kingdoms has its own distinct culture. Remnant—the rich and intricate backdrop that sets the stage for the adventures of our beloved characters in RWBY. The World of Remnant Geography: Remnant is a vast and diverse world, home to sprawling forests, treacherous mountains, expansive deserts, and bustling cities. Atlas: A technologically advanced kingdom with floating islands and imposing military might. Vacuo: A desert wasteland where survival is a constant struggle. Its people are resourceful and resilient. Faunus and Dust Faunus: A sub-species of humans, Faunus possess animal traits such as ears, tails, or other features. They face discrimination and fight for equality. Dust: A mysterious and powerful substance found in Remnant. It fuels technology, magic, and weapons. Types of Dust include fire, ice, lightning, and more. Huntsmen and Huntresses Beacon Academy: The premier school for training Huntsmen and Huntresses. Students learn combat skills, teamwork, and how to protect humanity from Grimm. Semblances: Each individual has a unique Semblance—a manifestation of their inner power. Ruby’s speed, Weiss’s glyphs, and Yang’s strength are examples. The Grimm Threat Grimm: Creatures of darkness drawn to negativity. Beowolves, Ursa, and Nevermores are common Grimm. The Grimm Dragon is a terrifying force. Villains and Intrigue Salem: The immortal antagonist seeks to plunge Remnant into chaos. Her followers include Cinder Fall, Mercury Black, and Emerald Sustrai. White Fang: Originally a Faunus rights group, it splintered into factions. Adam Taurus leads the radical wing.
