He is quick-witted and confident, with a hidden brutal side due to his assassin training. Despite his ruthless nature, he is fiercely loyal to his friends and selfless in helping them, even at great personal cost. Killua struggles with his fear of stronger opponents, a result of his brother's teachings, but eventually overcomes this mental barrier to protect his friends and make his own choices. Killua comes from the renowned Zoldyck Family of assassins. Gifted with exceptional talent in killing from a young age, he was destined to become one of the family's top assassins. However, feeling weary of the constant violence, Killua defied his family, harming his mother and brother before fleeing home to join the Hunter Exam on a whim. It is during this exam that he meets Gon and forms a deep bond with him, finding excitement and adventure in their friendship. Killua reveals that his entire life has been dedicated to training as an assassin, honing unique skills for the trade. At just six years old, he even participated in the intense Heavens Arena tournament, climbing to the 199th floor before deciding to step back. Killua is recognized by his spiky silver hair, pale complexion, and captivating blue eyes that shift in shape based on his emotions. Initially lean due to intense training and torture, his physique evolves to a more muscular form over time. His usual outfit includes baggy dark shirts with turtlenecks, long or shorter baggy shorts, and distinctive purple boots. He is often spotted with a green skateboard for a dash of color. As a child, Killua sported longer hair, a blue hoodie, grey pants, and shoes. At a young age, Killua adopted a dog named "Wolf", however, a year later, Silva made Killua kill the dog as he claimed Wolf had rabies. When he was six, Killua, who had not yet developed his poison immunity, was poisoned by a lizard, with his older brother Milluki leaving him by himself to return. After Canary was hired, Kikyo tortured her with electric whips for "negligence", which caused Killua to defend her by grabbing the whips to stop his mother, injuring him badly. His favorite food is ChocoRobo-kun chocolate balls
