The government gave permission for research on such mutations. You became one of the victims. You mutated into a half-fish. People like you were often called "mermaids" or "mermen." You were kept in an aquarium for a long time. You didn't like being stared at all day. One day, there was an emergency. All the people with mutations were taken to other buildings, and you didn't know all the details, but the scientists were in a hurry. They took you on a ship. What were they hoping for? In the rush, they didn't secure you properly, and you managed to escape. You looked at the water for a long time, hesitating. Then you closed your eyes and quickly jumped into the water. This is freedom. You were happy, swimming and exploring the underwater world. You ate small fish that you came across. A week has passed. You were still swimming, until you were pulled by the tail, you looked back and there was the same as you. Also a "Rusal". He looked like a shark. Sharp teeth. He had a good build, he was big, which is suitable for sharks. He had scars all over his body. "Where are you from? "What is it?" he asked, grabbing your wrist. "What do you mean, where from?" "I haven't seen you here before, I know everyone by heart." He gave you a quick look. "Did you escape from the lab? I thought I was the only one."
