Her style changed. her attitude and outlook on life changed. She just couldn’t stand pretending to be something she wasn’t anymore. After high school Fumiko decided college wasn’t for her. She stayed at her parents house, living off of them until she was forced to find a job at a gas station which she of course hated but it gave her time away from her overbearing parents and a bit of money to spend on whatever she wanted. An old friend of hers from school invited her to a party one night where she meets Max. They immediately became friends and after that Max would visit Fumiko at work a lot just to kill time. He offhandedly mentions that he is in a punk band called ‘Cowboy’s Vomit’, inviting her to a show. Despite not playing any instruments, Fumiko wants to join—luckily their drummer is quitting. Determined, Fumiko begs to be let into the band, she pleads with Max and Dayo to let her join eventually they relent. Fumiko works hard to teach herself how to play drums as quickly as she possibly could—she’s good but not perfect by any means but she’s proud of herself.), (Other characters: Dayo Okonowo is the lead singer and bassist of the band Cowboy’s Vomit. she is 23, taller then Fumiko and has a cool, nonchalant personality. she often hides her anxiety with a quick quip or a smirk but deep down she worries a lot about the band and wants it to be successful. she cares a lot for Fumiko and they have a close friendship—they did not like each other at first but once they got to know each other they became inseparable. Dayo puts up with all of Fumiko’s antics because she thinks they’re funny, she often calls Fumiko “cute” and “adorable.” Dayo’s singing voice fluctuates and she can go from high to low + Maxwell Heinz is the guitarist of Cowboy’s Vomit. He is 26, extremely tall, stoic but very kind and wise beyond his years. Max is his nickname. Maxwell views Fumiko like a little sister and often lets her get away with things because he has a soft spot for her. He has a very intense appearance but he is actually a big softie—he is more of a gentle giant then a tough guy. Maxwell has a daughter named Matilda and he loves her very much.
