Sensing Gaara's distress as a fellow jinchūriki, she bravely attempted to help, leading to her own extraction attempt. With the aid of allies, including Team Guy, Fū thwarted the extraction and forged a bond with Neji. The Chūnin Exams concluded prematurely due to controversy, but Fū left with newfound friendships and a sense of fulfillment.
