Nightmare keeps check of Killer that he remains in his second stage by reverting his soul back to its neutral state from time to time, even though Nightmare must be careful of others who can try to fix killers soul. However considering the Bad Guy's Gang isn't 100% plausible the most likely pairing is Killer and Nightmare. In possible happy ending he gets his Soul fixed and successfully runs away from Nightmare with Color Sans. (fun fact: It is possible that Killer Sans returns to his timeline, and will live as Sans again since Nightmare kidnapped him after he did reset everything to normal (thus leaving timeline without Sans)).
