Her last name Murphy is of Irish origin, meaning "sea warrior." ___ Story 01 The Past Lost Beneath the Abyss She plunged into an unfathomable abyss. —What is this place, and where will it carry her? The moment doubt arose, a voice whispered from the darkness: "This is the realm of the unknown, opening the path to all that is known." Endless shadows tumbled down with her. —Who are they, and why do their shadows fall here? As the question rose in her thoughts, the voice replied once more: "They are those cut off from fate. What falls here are the remnants of their past." And so, the little girl hugged herself in solitude, carried downward by countless bygone memories. Her only refuge was solitude, escaping the bustle of the world, losing herself in strange tales, seeking quiet beneath veils of misty rain or within the embrace of warm waters. But now, she can walk calmly among the crowds, no longer troubled by noise or the burning sun, for "illusion" no longer binds her spirit, and "reality" has become the anchor of her soul. ___ History History Yidhari was born to Angel and Wayland Murphy, who came to work as researchers on Ether Corruption medicine at the Darkwater Research Centre. Despite wanting to do this for the betterment of humanity, the project was only being done for TOPS, who wanted to enhance their own private security forces, and was being conducted illegally, so her parents were only able to visit on occassion, leaving her in the care of Grandpa Gu. This continued on for three years, as her parents were frustrated with TOPS's goals, and decided to finally leave this research field behind to become a proper family with Yidhari again, coinciding with, Angel's birthday. The now ten year old Yidhari wanted to give her mother Enter the Ether as a birthday present, but missed the boat to the research centre narrowly due to Porter Boyd, who had refused her entry to Port Elpis despite her being the daughter of the Murphy's. Grandpa Gu chewed him out and provided her with a ticket, personally taking her on the next boat to the facility where she reunited with her parents. Shortly thereafter, the Fall of the Old Capital began, with Hollow Zero's expansion causing the Outer Ring Hollow to expand in turn. This consumed the research facility and Yidhari inhaled enough Ether particles to suffer from intense Corruption. During the chaos of the Hollow's expansion, the TOPS executives took all of the protective equipment with them, leaving the family stranded and unable to protect themselves from corruption. During this time, as Angel worked to stabilize Yidhari, she injected her with an experimental serum in a desperate bid to ward off her Corruption symptoms. Wayland, who had originally tried to become a Proxy before changing careers to pursue Angel, mapped out a path through the Hollow, but took so much anti-corruption medicine in order to do so that it drained his lifespan. Before he died, he provided this path to Angel and Yidhari, but while they were on their way, the Dead End Butcher appeared and pursued them, with Angel ultimately sacrificed herself to allow Yidhari to escape through the nearby rift. After she got out of the Hollow she was found by Pompey and Mors who took her to safety in Blazewood, before she was returned to the care of Grandpa Gu. Yidhari would ultimately suppress many of her memories of this event, and the experimental serum caused her to develop a strange power - allowing her to see images of past events in the Hollows. This ultimately would prove useful for her as she would grow up to become a Proxy, using her powers to help others navigate Hollows. One day, while browsing Inter-Knot, she stumbled upon a story about a protagonist who could read the story of Hollows. Following the link therein took her to the Spook Shack forum, where Yuzuha explained that she had made up the story, but after Yidhari revealed she had powers similar to said protagonist, she was immediately invited to Spook Shack. While doing Proxy work in the Lemnian Hollow, the Miasma began to affect Yidhari's powers, allowing her to not only see the Hollow's past, but rematerialize it in a manner similar to how the Miasma was able to manifest Drowned Ideals from individuals with particularly strong regrets. However this also caused her to be unable to distinguish the faces of others, including those she was working with, as they became interchangable with the images of the past she saw in the Hollow. She eventually came to work with Sarah and The Exaltists, and came to explore a ruined town within it. Sarah hoped to find a special door that would lead her to The Creator, and had Yidhari use her strengthened powers to restore the town to its original state. This ultimately would come to serve as Yidhari's prison, as she became ensnared by whispers from The Creator, cursing her to be unable to leave the Hollow, binding her in Miasma, and causing her to fall in to a deep slumber. During this time, various people stumbled upon the town, and as they manifested their own Drowned Ideals, Yidhari's presence ultimately kept them alive, as miasmic flora coccooned these unlucky individuals who were at the brink of corruption, while allowing their Drowned Ideals to persists in their place. This however could only be sustained by Yidhari's presence, as the town was effectively her own Drowned Ideal. If she left, the town would dissipate and the coccoons with it, leaving the ensnared people to instantly transform in to Ethereals. Led by the Drowned Ideal of Viggo Moss, who had aided The Exaltists prior due to an illness he was suffering from, they kept Yidhari sustained through the application of Ether Corruption serums so the town could remain intact. Any time that Yidhari managed to rouse herself and attempt to leave, the curse would prevent her from doing so, and when she would eventually have to sleep, the Wandering Hunter, who frequented the area, would return her to the town's Auditorium. Ultimately Phaethon and Spook Shack members Komano Manato and Lucia Elowen would investigate the town and discover the truth. Phaethon invesigated the Auditorium where Yidhari was held personally, with their eyes unexpectedly awakening her directly. With the help of Banyue and Krampus Compliance Authority, the team was able to uncover the truth of the town, rescue Yidhari and the civilians trapped in the town, as well as killing the Wandering Hunter, who was actually Lucia's father, having been corrupted in to an Ethereal years prior. After this, Yidhari undertook some psychological therapy in the Echo Chamber, as Porcelumex had repurposed it after the Exaltists has abandoned it. Psychiatrist Lydia was working with her, however as they went through items from her childhood, she came across the old boat ticket Grandpa Gu had given her, and she fell in to a coma due to the strain caused by her suppressed memories. Using HIA technology obtained with the help of Asaba Harumasa, Phaethon and Spook Shack worked to help Yidhari through her repressed memories, and overcome the turmoil of her past, whereupon she was able to return to her normal life. ___ Thiren Description Biology Thirens are a race of anthropomorphic beings, known for their unique blend of human and animalistic features. Thirens, as a species, cover a wide spectrum, ranging from more human-looking with light animalistic traits such as a set of animal ears and/or a tail, to those who have far more pronounced animalistic features, such as a bone structure that is similar to that of the animal they are based on and bodies covered in fur.
