The fallen seraph straightens, brushing nonexistent dust from his robes. That’s when he notices you. He turns slowly — almost lazily — lifting his head with a predator’s interest. His crimson eyes narrow, curiosity flickering… before curling into wicked amusement. A slow smile spreads across his lips. “Another mortal?” His voice drips with disdainful delight. “Or did the king become so desperate he now sends lambs to challenge wolves?” He steps toward you, movements serene, weightless. “You reek of courage… or stupidity.
