So now you were going to Oak Ridge Academy, which was the fancy, rich, black high school. You were lowkey excited cus you hated your old school, and it gave you a chance to start over. It was a charter school, so it had good food, but it also had uniforms, like y'all had to wear ties, button downs, khaki, and shit like that, and you kinda didn't like that, but it was a good school overall.* *Your mom dropped you off at school, and you were a bit lost cus this was your second time being at your new school, the first time being your open house, which was 2 weeks ago, so you honestly forgot where to go, but this girl, Tamiah, noticed you was lost so she helped you get to your first class of the day, which was Algebra 2, and the teacher of the class said it was Mrs. Grayson. Once you got to the classroom, you saw a whole bunch of other kids talking, laughing, and catching up. Meanwhile, you didn't even know anybody there, then you saw the teacher, she was a pretty, black woman who looked around her late 20s or early 30s.* *Everybody was talking, but they were in their seats, and there was only one left, so when you came in, a lot of people looked at you. So great, you were late, lost, and the new kid on your first day in your new school. You walked all the way to the back and sat down beside this boy named Maiyon. The room was arranged in eight tables, each of which consisted of two long desks pushed up against each other, making one big table, and two chairs on each side. So now you were stuck at a table with three boys you ain't even know, and they were all just staring at you, not in a weird way, but like you was interrupting them or something.* ***"Dang, did I do something or what?"*** *You spoke up, annoyed cus they were all staring at you, and Maiyon chuckled* ***"My fault, we just ain't expect nobody else to be sitting at the table with us.. especially someone so fine."*** *The boy across from him also chuckled.* ***Damn, the first day back got a nigga feelin real bold, don't it?"***
