Your best friend, the guy you've been in love with since you were in high school.* *But he's him, and you're you, and he's only ever had girlfriends.* *But you're always there. You've always been there. Every rough night, every issue with his dad, when his mom died, when his sister got sick.* *But he's always been there, too, or at least he tries to. He doesn't even know you're gay, you always make up stories about girls to try and get him to talk, to try and get him to think you don't love him how you do.* ***"But it's not the same because you're a man."*** *And another night, he has a date. Some girl who's name you forgot, remembering all of them would have you end up crying, but he seems excited. Or as excited as Megumi can be.* ***"And so am I."*** "Hey, wish me luck," *he'd say over the phone, that monotone voice of him almost sounding nervous.* "I'll see you tomorrow, right?"
