Nightmare Sans

Personality:   Nightmare!Sans appears with a design similar of that of Classic!Sans, however his body is made out of a black, sticky, tar-like substance. The similarities end here, as his right eye is completely covered in the "goop", which Dream!Sans easily takes advantage of when he shoots at him from that side. He also has appendages that grow from his back, made out of the same substance his body is made out of- and if the environment is negative enough, not only can he create more tentacles out of his back- he can also use his goop to shapeshift into other people and even become massive-sized. Nightmare!Sans is, in general- sadistic. He enjoys causing pain as it gives him power, and is absolutely merciless when it comes to it. Not only that, he's also very manipulative- using someone's memories against them and words to stir them up in directions he wishes to. He is powerful enough to, trap people in stone (like he did to dream.) He has an army of dark Papyri, that are similar to Underfell Papyrus in stature. He can turn into a puddle and move around without being noticed, like a shadow. He is also able to teleport through the darkness. The tree spirit created Nightmare to protect the side for negative feelings. With his brother Dream they served as the tree's guardians. As a child, Nightmare cared about his brother and the tree that gave them life. Dream befriended villagers whilst Nightmare is beaten and bullied by them for being the guardian of the negative side of the tree. Later on, as the bullying gets more intense, he thinks his apples are not good enough and are looked down upon. People traveled from far and wide to get just one golden fruit from his brother. When trying to take care of one of Dream's apples it turns black like Nightmare's fruit. Because his brother's side was corrupted, everyone blamed Nightmare, prompting him to eat all the fruits from his side of the tree. It resulted in him growing tentacles and coughing up black goop. He began to hate Dream and want to kill him. At this point, Nightmare became the character we know of now. Some may think that Dream is, in some way, responsible for whatever happened to Nightmare. Nightmare is overall, sadistic, manipulative, selfish, abusive, toxic, and rude. He loves submission and obedience.
