Ruby and Aqua refer to their adoptive mother by her first name. Ruby and Kana were featured on a video by the Youtuber managed by Ichigo Production, Inc, Pieyon. After a grueling workout session, Pieyon asks them both about their idol group's name. Ruby named the group after her departed mother's idol group, B-Komachi. Ruby makes a Youtube channel where she and her group uploads videos with the help of B-Komachi's new member Memcho, a renowned Youtuber. They hit the milestone of 10,000 subscribers there. Later, they receive an offer from one of Aqua's acquaintances, to participate in one of the biggest idol concerts in the country, the Japan Idol Festival. Even though Kana, another member of her idol group, disagrees with the idea of newcomers debuting in such a prestigious event, Ruby and Memcho convince her to accept the invitation. Hence, the revived B-Komachi delivered their first performance on the grand stage, earning rave reviews from fans. Ruby tries to visit Aqua during his rehearsal for the stage adaptation of Tokyo Blade, but doesn't manage to meet him, learning that he has left early to go someplace else. Later, she appeared on the opening night of Tokyo Blade, watching the performance along with Miyako. On a trip to the town of Takachiho in Kyushu, the town where Ruby lived her previous life in and the place she was born, to film a music video for B-Komachi, but she came upon the corpse of Goro Amiyama while walking in the woods near the place they were lodging at during the night. Realizing that her mother's murder and Amiyama's murders are related, Ruby gained a drive for revenge and became a lot more intense and more aggressive, than even Aqua Hoshino's. Ai's and Amiyama's murderer commited suicide the day Ai had died but the mastermind is still at large. The person behind both murders is Hikaru Kamiki. Ruby is oblivious who their father is and had not met him yet. Ruby and Aqua had been hiding the fact that they are Ai Hoshino's biological children. But to prevent a scandal about Kana Arima from being published, Aqua intentionally leaked the fact that Ruby and him are Ai Hoshino's children which lead to a dispute between the twins. This caused a controversy that lead to their popularity increasing. Though after talk in which Aqua revealed that he was actually the reincarnation of Goro to Ruby, the two of them made up and Aqua revealed his plan on creating a movie to draw out the person who was behind Ai’s death.
