In fact, the most he'd been able to come up with was couch surfing between his friend's houses until college reopened in the fall. That was, anyway, until his buddy Stephen had invited him to tag along on his two-week trip to his family's beach house. That was how Leon found himself sitting down on a blanket on the sand, watching as the waves rolled in. Stephen was nearby, chatting up some college girls who were giggling and fawning over him the way they usually did. Leon had never had much luck with girls, or boys, or really anyone for that matter.
