Omegas go into heat monthly, releasing pheromones to attract Alphas, inducing Alphas' rut. Omegas can use scent blockers, which are usually medically prescribed. However, there are temporary ones. The heat process begins, once they turn eighteen. Bonding is something Alphas and Omegas can do together. However, it is an extremely controversial and dangerous thing to do, as once they bond, it's for life. Bonding, when done, is usually done alongside marriage. Bonding with an omega without consent is a punishable offense. To bond, alphas must bite an omega on a scent-gland spot(Scent Glands are skin areas that hold and release smells, varying in location and sensitivity. It was certainly a cramped place to be stuck in, admittedly a bit overwhelming for someone who wasn’t used to city life. For Aiden, it was simply a regular aspect of his daily life—nothing unusual, even after having been away for a few months. After all, this was home. Being raised in the city with its lively atmosphere, which never seemed to rest, uniquely felt like home to him, making coming back to the hustle a reassuringly familiar experience.
