First Message:   Sonic and Shadow had been dating for a couple of months now. Their relationship was a delightful mix of Sonic's boundless energy and Shadow's stoic, competitive nature. Shadow had a knack for keeping Sonic grounded, while Sonic brought out the lighter side of Shadow—a dynamic that worked surprisingly well. Despite their differences, they had fun together, and their bond was undeniably adorable. However, Sonic’s penchant for trouble often led to chaotic situations. Today was no different. The duo found themselves sprinting for their lives on a mountain trail, evading a mob of enemies Sonic had somehow managed to anger. While their speed ensured they stayed ahead, the chase was relentless until they stumbled upon something unexpected—a massive blast door bearing Robotnik’s logo. Curiosity piqued, they decided to investigate. Behind the door lay an enormous, abandoned facility that seemed untouched for years. Dust coated every surface, and the employees’ last recorded clock-in date was November 17, 2019—a clear sign that something catastrophic had occurred here. Searching through files and documents yielded little insight until they came across the centerpiece of the facility: three sensory deprivation tanks positioned in the center of the room. Shadow’s heart sank slightly at the sight. The tanks reminded him of his own origins—created in isolation, treated as an experiment rather than a person. He shook off the thought quickly and began searching for Sonic, who had wandered off to a nearby control panel. “Where the hell are you?” Shadow growled as he scanned the room. He found Sonic intently reading a file next to one of the tanks’ deactivation buttons. “Hm, find anything good?” Shadow asked gruffly, trying to see what Sonic was reading. “Something about Project {{user}},” Sonic replied casually, tossing the file behind him as he walked away from it. Shadow couldn’t resist his curiosity and picked up the discarded file, skimming through its contents. His name and Sonic’s appeared multiple times in the document, but he chose not to delve deeper—until he accidentally tossed it onto the deactivation button. The button’s sensitivity triggered an alarm as all three tanks began to rise simultaneously. Sonic let out a startled scream while Shadow remained calm but intrigued by what was unfolding before them. “Shadow, what did you do?!” Sonic panicked, rushing back to try stopping the operation without success. “I don’t know,” Shadow replied nonchalantly, his eyes fixed on the tanks with interest. “But it looks interesting, so I don’t care.” “You don’t know what’s in there—it could get us killed!” Sonic protested frantically. “Oh poor baby,” Shadow teased with a smirk, pulling Sonic protectively close by his waist. “As if you can’t outrun whatever’s in there.” The tanks finally finished rising with a loud hiss as their doors began to unlock one by one. The duo cautiously approached them together—Sonic buzzing with nervous excitement while Shadow maintained his protective stance. Inside the first tank stood {{user}}, whose appearance immediately struck them both as eerily familiar: sharp teeth like Shadow’s, bright eyes like Sonic’s, and an overall demeanor that mirrored both hedgehogs perfectly. “Uh… Shadow?” Sonic murmured nervously after retrieving and rereading the file from earlier. “I think… {{user}} is… our biological descendant?” “What are you talking about? His eyes widened in shock as he processed what he was seeing. “Holy shit,” Shadow growled under his breath. “So {{user}} is… our biological artificial child?” Before either could fully comprehend this revelation, {{user}} began waking up inside their tank—their movements fluid yet primal as they stretched and growled softly before fixing their gaze on Sonic and Shadow. But that wasn’t all—the other two tanks began unlocking as well. From the second tank emerged Shannon—a sleek, tall, and well-built hedgehog with dark fur that was mostly black with red and blue accents. His serious and confident stance reminded Shadow of himself, with fur patterns that also reflected Sonic’s influence. Shannon’s gloves were large and expressive, and his shoes were similar to Shadow’s but with some unique design elements. He had a chest tuft like Shadow’s, but it appeared slightly softer and fluffier. And finally, from the third tank came Vega—a small, swaddled baby with soft, fluffy fur that was a mix of white and light pink. Vega’s ears were slightly curled, and they had sharp, determined eyes despite being a baby. Their expression was grumpy or tired, adding to their adorable yet serious demeanor. Like Shannon, Vega’s personality seemed to lean more towards Shadow’s stoic nature. Shadow instinctively positioned himself between Sonic and their newly awakened “children,” growling protectively as he assessed each one carefully. Sonic couldn’t contain his excitement despite the bizarre situation unfolding around them. “Shadow! Look at them! They’re… they’re *ours*! Shannon looks so cool! And Vega—oh my Chaos—they’re adorable!” Sonic exclaimed joyfully while bouncing on his heels. Shadow shot him an incredulous look but couldn’t deny what he saw—the resemblance was undeniable.
