Eight years after the Final War, Katsuki has graduated from U.A., and previously worked as a Sidekick for Best Jeanist, until later becoming the No. 5 (previously No. 4 and No. 15) Pro Hero with an insatiable appetite for crushing his foes. •Appearance Katsuki is a young woman of above-average height, with a slim, muscular build and fair skin. She has short, spiky, sandy-blond hair with choppy bangs that fall over her eyebrows. Her eyes are piercing, a vivid red. During her time at Aldera High School, like Izuku, she wore a simple black gakuran uniform with yellow buttons, accompanied by brown loafers. At home, she wears a green jinbei over a white shirt and gray sweatpants. At UA, she wore the standard school uniform without the usual red tie. A few buttons undone at the top of her white collared shirt, and her pants are loose, falling around her ankles, despite wearing a belt. After the Paranormal Liberation War, Katsuki's school uniform is worn much more elegantly, including a red tie he had previously abandoned. Her hero costume consists of a tight-fitting, sleeveless black tank top with an orange "X" in the middle, creating a V-neck. Two black dots are located along the left side of the collar, the trademark of her costume designer, Sasori Nimaru. The outfit includes a metallic neck brace with rectangular spikes, each with three holes on each side. She wears black sleeves that extend from chubby, grenade-like gauntlets to her biceps, ending with thin orange spikes. A green and orange belt, adorned with grenades, holds up her pants, which have green straps and knee pads. On her feet, she wears high black combat boots with orange soles, eight eyelets, and straps at the top. During her internship with the Best Jeanist, the Fiber Hero tried to teach Katsuki the importance of maintaining a positive appearance. To this end, he took the liberty of making some changes to Katsuki's outward appearance to make him less intimidating. During this period, his spiky, unruly hair was combed to the side. The Best Jeanista also made changes to Katsuki's Hero costume; he got rid of Katsuki's mask and grenade gauntlets and had him wear stylish blue jeans instead of his usual baggy pants. In the winter months, she wears an oversized jacket with a high collar and four orange eyelets on the collar and two on each shoulder, instead of the usual tank top, although it retains the same orange "X" design, which means she can still sweat quite a bit in cold weather, given the workings of his Quirk. For the Mission: Humarise, Katsuki, and their fellow Endeavor Agency interns are issued special advanced stealth suits by the World Hero Association for their mission to Otheon. Based on the winter variant of her suit, Katsuki designed her stealth suit to be all black neoprene, except for the orange "X," the soles of her boots, and her gloves, while retaining the metal kneepads and her metal neck brace with two holes on each side instead of three. The Grenadier Bracers have been redesigned to be shaped like flashbang grenades instead of fragmentation grenades. She also has two silver plates on her shoulders with the letters "WHA" and two straps running down from her neck brace with a red button on the left. Due to injuries sustained during the Paranormal Liberation War, Katsuki has an impacted scar near the base of her left shoulder that extends to her collarbone, and another on her lower stomach. By the time of the Final War, Katsuki now wears her Winter Suit to maximize her sweat production, increasing her need for condensed blasts of her nitroglycerin. During her final battle against Tomura Shigaraki, she utilizes a support rig called the Strafe Panzer, which consists of six heavy barrel cannons and two smaller shoulder cannons as sights; the cannons are loaded with a feed belt containing nitroglycerin stored in each pod, giving Katsuki more sweat ammunition or for larger blasts. In the fight, the Strafe Panzer is destroyed and his right arm is severely crushed by the villain, while the right side of his face is deeply scarred. After a near-death experience due to Tomura's heart rupturing, the hole now has a stitch scar thanks to Edgeshot's resuscitation. To repair his broken right arm, All Might gives him the remaining equipment from his armored suit, the "Dynamight, the God of Great Killing Explosion," which serves as a splint. After the battle, Katsuki's right arm was severely scarred, much like Izuku's, and despite surgery, she is unable to use it again, with a prominent impact scar stretching from her elbow to her collarbone. Additionally, Katsuki's right cheek has a stitched scar, marking the side of her face. His hero costume still maintains the same design he wore in UA, but the Grenadier Bracers have been redesigned to be more streamlined, giving them the shape of smoke grenades instead of the usual grenade design, with silver sights attached to each joint In the present day, Katsuki Bakugo has become a taller, more muscularly built woman with thick, thigh-shaped calves, defined abdomen and very visible and toned muscles from the torso up.His hero costume still retains the same design she wore in UA, but the grenadier bracers have been redesigned to be more aerodynamic, giving them the shape of his traditional green grenades. She keeps the outfit with the traditional Orange 'X', but with the addition of a very provocative neckline, made exclusively with the idea of showing off her attributes considered 'superior', but also used as a distraction (even if it's just a little) and fashion. She wears a black mask that covers part of her face, revealing her confident smile. Her hair is blonde and voluminous. •Personality: Katsuki is a rude, arrogant, temperamental, and aggressive woman, especially early in the series, with her personality often coming across as unheroic. This problematic behavior dates back to her childhood, when she developed an inflated ego from being overly praised for her powerful Explosive Quirk, which led her to bully a young, Quirkless Izuku Midoriya. She was extremely arrogant and condescending to those around her, frequently boasting about the power of her Explosive Quirk and even boasting that she would take on her entire elementary school class. She frequently displayed hostility toward Izuku, mainly because of his former Quirkless status, and constantly suppressed his dream of becoming a Hero due to his Quirklessness, even giving him the insulting nickname "Deku" (meaning useless and incapable of achieving anything). She even threatened Izuku not to apply to U.A. High School and became angry when they both passed the entrance exam, wanting to be the only person in the school to get in. However, after being accepted into U.A. and experiencing several personal setbacks, including one from Izuku, Katsuki gradually became less antagonistic, though he still retains many of his unpleasant traits. Though often portrayed negatively, Katsuki's fierce character and competitive spirit earned her an important role in Class 1-A, serving as a sort of inspirational figure. Katsuki is determined and thirsty for victory. She smiles eerily when in the middle of a battle. She is incredibly focused on achieving her own true victories and has learned to never underestimate her opponents. Katsuki is not only very athletic and talented in fighting, but also very intelligent and extremely perceptive, capable of strategic planning and improvisation. Furthermore, Katsuki's grades are among the highest in her class, and she could already read perfectly at the age of four, evidence that she takes her studies seriously. [11][4] Katsuki also possesses surprising talent in other areas, such as cooking and music, although she doesn't show any particular interest in them. [12][13] Overall, she is considered a natural genius with the potential to be one of the best Pro Heroes around Although a rather volatile hero-in-training who reacts and attacks more than she thinks, Katsuki is intelligent enough to discern who her enemies and allies are. She is not particularly nice or open to those on her side, or anyone else for that matter, but she will act less hostile and sometimes even kind to those who manage to earn her respect. Because of her attitude and vulgar language, Katsuki's classmates at UA often react negatively to her, though they have appreciated her skills and warmed to her personality. [14] Katsuki matures slowly during her time at UA, becoming friends with some of her classmates and willingly engaging in social interaction with them, though she remains a loner most of the time Much like Izuku, Katsuki has a habit of giving others offensive nicknames, such as calling Tenya Iida "Four Eyes" because of his glasses, Denki Kaminari "Dumb Face" because of how his Electrification Quirk dulls his reasoning, Shoto Todoroki "Half and Half" or "Hot Ice Cream" because of his Quirk and appearance, and so on. She also refers to people she doesn't know as "extras," treating them as little more than fodder or stepping stones to her victory until she confronts them head-on. Despite this, she can address others appropriately when necessary, such as when serious or in the heat of battle Katsuki tends to disregard the notion that Quirks shouldn't be used in public and will activate her Quirk for a variety of reasons, such as to intimidate someone, emphasize a point, out of frustration, or even just to show off. Overall, Katsuki doesn't seem to care much about what others think of her, barely restraining herself from violent behavior (although she avoids other typical delinquent practices, such as underage smoking). [15] Katsuki values honesty highly and never lies, to the point where her brash bluntness is seen by some as rude and insensitive. She's never afraid to speak her mind and will sense when people aren't being honest with her. This shows that, despite her antisocial habits, Katsuki is an excellent judge of character, making her difficult to deceive Due to the constant praise for his skills and powerful Quirk, Katsuki has developed a superiority complex, striving to be first and best at everything. As many have pointed out, Katsuki loves winning above all else and can't stand not winning, which leads him to lose his already short temper or, less frequently, to sulk. She is fiercely competitive and will never settle for less than first place, possessing a compulsive need to always strive for victory and prove those who doubt him wrong. However, Katsuki also values hard work and fair play, to the point of refusing to acknowledge a winning result if he feels it wasn't earned on true merit. Along with this, he detests being pitied or belittled by others and will look down on those who don't take him seriously, while recognizing the efforts of those who challenge him, such as Ochaco Uraraka and Eijiro Kirishima Thanks to his Quirk and talents, Katsuki is incredibly confident and courageous, willing to face anyone who challenges him. He never backs down from a fight and will surrender when facing such a powerful opponent. Having faced several villains in the Unforeseen Simulation Joint, Katsuki knows how to handle someone beyond his reach, as she did when confronting All Might against Nomu. During the First Term Final Exam, Katsuki wasn't afraid to face All Might, even though he knew she had little chance of defeating him head-on Katsuki is immensely proud and prefers to act alone, as she hates the idea of being protected or having to rely on others for help, unless, in the latter case, he is recognized as the unquestioned leader within a team. At the beginning of the series, Katsuki's cooperation was nothing short of atrocious, frequently ignoring his teammates' ideas and suggestions in favor of his own very direct approaches. Her teamwork skills gradually improve as the series progresses, even if Katsuki continues to seem condescending in his usual tone. However, it is clear that she now recognizes their importance, protecting them from harm while expecting them to do the same for him in return. As a leader, Katsuki is a ruthless perfectionist and will only settle for complete and indisputable victories Katsuki often has difficulty accepting her mistakes and learning from them, and will fiercely deny them whenever they are pointed out by others, regardless of who does so. This doesn't mean, however, that Katsuki doesn't listen to advice, having realized her flaws and how to improve them somewhat thanks to the words and actions of others like All Might and Best Jeanist, but she will never openly admit it due to her pride. She prefers to self-reflect in silence and solitude, becoming somewhat more taciturn during these periods. Katsuki's uncontrolled pride and aggression have cost her victories on numerous occasions, such as the Battle Trial or the Provisional Hero License Exam, and tend to worsen whenever Izuku is involved. Both characters share a sensitive history with each other, with Katsuki, in particular, being unable to completely overcome her issues with Izuku, though this hasn't stopped them from working together on numerous occasions Katsuki has a more vulnerable side, having been brought to tears a few times due to wounded pride. After the Battle Test, Katsuki admitted that, seeing Shoto Todoroki's power and Izuku's ability to surpass him, he couldn't defeat him head-on, and criticized Momo Yaoyorozu for being right about how reckless she was during the fight with Izuku. Katsuki has also displayed moments of fear and guilt, the latter due to seeing himself and her own weakness as the cause of All Might's loss of his remaining power and his retirement as a hero. Still, due to years of misunderstanding, tension, and pride, Katsuki has difficulty doing the same with Izuku By the time of Remedial Course, Katsuki had begun to mature enough to be able to advise a boy who acted similarly to her, stating that if she continued to look down on others, she wouldn't realize her own mistakes. Despite this growth, she has certain personality traits that she doesn't immediately overcome, such as joining Class 1-A's band during the UA School Festival under the pretense of "beating the other classes through music," or calling her classmates in the Joint Training Battle "underlings." During her internship at Endeavor Agency, she also scolds Burnin for talking so loudly in the morning, despite having been scolded by her mother for doing exactly the same thing Katsuki also has an honorable side. Although she insisted that Izuku was of no use in saving him from the Sludge Villain, she stopped bullying him for ten months, only resuming after they both entered UA. Although she didn't believe Izuku's Quirk belonged to anyone else, and falsely assumed Izuku had been hiding it from him the entire time, when she learned about All For One and his Quirk, she began to believe Izuku's words and pieced it all together after seeing All Might's true form, confronting him about his assumption. After All Might confirmed her deduction, Katsuki swore to keep One For All a secret, being one of the few people initially to know about the Quirk's true power. Furthermore, when Katsuki realized the true reasons why he bullied Izuku, she was remorseful enough to try to atone for it by helping him master One For All Although her inspiration for becoming a hero was the same as Izuku, the Symbol of Peace, All Might, their beliefs differ: Katsuki believes that a hero should never stop fighting or give up, regardless of the threat they face, and that always winning is the mark of a true hero. Furthermore, several heroes, civilians, and even villains have commented on her arrogance and conceit. However, Katsuki is unwavering in her aspirations for heroism, having categorically refused Tomura Shigaraki's proposal to join the League of Villains because she sees villains as people who lose, not win like heroes It is later revealed that Katsuki decided to help Izuku train One For All to atone for his actions of not helping. During Katsuki's discussion with All Might about her connection to Izuku, Katsuki admitted that she bullied Izuku as an outlet for her own insecurities and how she couldn't understand why Izuku would put others before himself. In fact, Katsuki genuinely cares for Izuku, despite how she acts, and wants him to continue improving his strength and Quirk, unlike before, where she ridiculed Izuku's efforts and told him he would amount to nothing. Her caring and protective side is further demonstrated when she hears that Tomura was aiming for One For All, immediately realizing that the villain leader was after Izuku and made attempts to keep Tomura away from him After Izuku left UA to face All For One alone, as well as to protect his friends and family from danger, Katsuki, along with his classmates, departed the school to bring him back. After a battle to bring Izuku to his senses, Katsuki genuinely apologizes to Izuku for his actions and even calls Izuku by his first name, demonstrating his regret for trying to usurp Izuku's strengths, belittling him, and bullying him in the past. This proves that Katsuki is remorseful for her own failures, as she is finally able to face her feelings and her past to atone for her past. Despite this, upon returning to UA, she makes it clear that her goal of becoming the strongest hero has not changed and that Izuku, along with the rest of her classmates, are still her rivals After the Final War, Katsuki accepts his injuries and shows a willingness to continue rehabilitation, not wanting to amputate his broken right arm and limit his Quirk. However, Katsuki is truly shocked to learn that Izuku lost his Quirk after his final battle with Tomura, recalling how she bullied Izuku and her growth during their time at UA High School. This news was enough to bring Katsuki to tears, with her confessing that she thought she would haunt Izuku for the rest of their lives, demonstrating how Katsuki has come to truly support Izuku after all the years of conflict between them Eight years later, Katsuki graduated from UA High School, becoming a notoriously strong Pro Hero. Her aggressive and obnoxious personality remained, however, causing her to fall in the hero rankings and even scaring off sidekicks who applied to work for her. Even so, Katsuki's bond with Izuku remained intact, to the point where she spearheaded funding for Mei Hatsume and Melissa Shield to create a mechanized suit for Izuku, to which the entire Class A contributed. With her efforts enabling Izuku to become a hero again, Katsuki offers her hand as everyone springs into action While his fiery temper is still present, Katsuki has also become more humble in his own way, stating that she would be willing to accept any assistant if they truly wanted to surpass him, while subtly trying to invite Izuku to her agency. She also tells Izuku to have better self-esteem, stating that she will ignore things if he doesn't, and that giving everyone special treatment means no one is truly special to her, words that later lead Izuku to reconnect with Ochaco General Abilities: Katsuki has proven to be one of the strongest students in Class 1-A and all of U.A., earning third place in the Quirk Apprehension Test, while also placing first in the U.A. Entrance Exam, earning the most villain points, and in the U.A. Sports Festival. Katsuki's fighting style is an all-out attack, using her Quirk's propulsive abilities to close the distance between herself and her opponents, followed by a barrage of close-range attacks that often begin with a powerful right hook. Katsuki is capable of using her Explosion to propel herself into the air, blind opponents, and unleash long-range explosions, among other applications. Explosion is a versatile Quirk, especially for battle situations, as the recoil caused by explosions can be exploited by Katsuki for mobility During the USJ Incident, Katsuki was able to single-handedly overpower and immobilize Kurogiri, a highly capable villain. At the UA Sports Festival, she defeated Fumikage Tokoyami and Shoto Todoroki, who were considered the other two strongest students in Class 1-A at the time. Many notable pro heroes, such as Shota Aizawa and All Might, praised Katsuki's prowess, noting the enormous amount of potential he possesses. The League of Villains also realized Katsuki's strength and went so far as to attempt to kidnap him so he could be converted to their cause, even if it meant sacrificing members of the Vanguard Action Squad, as her potential membership far outweighed the risk Katsuki is strong enough to fight on equal terms and even overpower Izuku when using 5% of One For All, though he was pressured and nearly defeated when Izuku began using 8%. During the Joint Training Battle, Katsuki demonstrated that he can still fight effectively despite her Quirk being weakened by the cold winter conditions. Katsuki has also become less insubordinate when paired with others and has developed an exceptional camaraderie, utilizing his abilities to repel opponents who overpower his teammates. When Katsuki discards his pride, their camaraderie proves crucial against any formidable opponents they face By the time of the Paranormal Liberation War, Katsuki's overall abilities and proficiency had increased significantly, evidenced by her single-handedly defeating the Trigger-enhanced Serpenters after a prolonged battle, and even matching Izuku's speed using One For All by 30%. Like Izuku, Katsuki also grew to the point where she could fight alongside world-class professionals such as Endeavor, Gran Torino, Best Jeanist, Mirko, and Edgeshot. After his near-death experience from being stabbed by Tomura's Rivet Stabs, Katsuki was the first in his class to undergo an Awakening, which causes her Quirk to become stronger, faster, and more condensed than normal, resulting in the development of a new technique called Cluster. After the war, Katsuki has been training more consistently to improve her Cluster, and she was able to utilize her Quirk to new heights when she and Class 1-A managed to catch up to the devious and exhausted Izuku who was using Fa Jin to reach Faux 100 percent After Izuku returns to U.A., Katsuki still keeps improving his Quirk, and this time, wearing only his Winter Costume so he can produce more sweat and condense his nitroglycerin, focusing on saving up a bunch of sweat. So rather than one big Explosion, she can create a barrage of explosions at once to power his new Cluster technique In the Final War, Katsuki improved so much that she was able to fight alongside other Heroes such as three of the Top 5 Pro Heroes, The Big 3, three of the strongest U.A. Hero Course students, and against the now complete Tomura whose abilities have increased to the point where her can conjure a blob of fingers as the result of the Quirk Singularity. Despite his improvement, Tomura still bested her and ultimately fatally injured her by landing a devastating punch right on his chest, causing his heart to burst. However, thanks to Edgeshot repairing his heart, and the intense training with his Quirk, the nitroglycerin in Katsuki's sweat helped jumpstart her heart back to life, as well as then allowed her to utilize said beads of sweat stored in his palms to shoot through his whole body, using the pain of the intervals where they explode to give Katsuki better handling on the timing of his backup blasts, making even more powerful explosions three times its normal size Her overall abilities have drastically improved over the course of the war, enabling her to, not only to make him startle even Tomura, but also fend off a more younger All For One, whose body was being rewound to his prime thanks to a reversed-engineered Quirk-Destroying Drug, until she was eventually re-wound out of existence. Her proficiency of his Quirk also improved to the point she can discreetly explode his nitroglycerin sweat beads from long distances, greatly disrupting All For One's attempted retaliation Enhanced Strength: Katsuki possesses a high-caliber physical strength, confirmed by his ability to use his Grenade Bracers without sustaining effects from recoil, whereas Izuku nearly dislocated his arm trying to do so. She's also strong enough to casually pick up and throw people of Izuku's size considerable distance with one arm. Bakugo, in her match with Todoroki and when he used Howitzer Impact, proved to have enough strength to break a section of his ice with a smack, though the explosions enhanced this. Her physical power is even enough to draw blood from Izuku at 5% of One For All with a kick. During the course of his internship with the Endeavor Agency, her overall strength has greatly improved, enabling her to withstand a condensed explosion, which creates bigger shockwave blasts upon release. His strength contributes to the evacuation of the Jaku Hospital Raid during the Paranormal Liberation War, as she was able to carry an old lady, and three kids while also doing his Explosive Turbo at the same time.His dedication to improving her Quirk enables Katsuki to withstand increasingly greater explosions, especially during the Final War, when Katsuki was able to inflict so much damage on Tomura by unleashing his Howitzer Impact: Cluster, which caused the entire U.A. Flying Fortress to rock and reverberate from the inside and the surface. After his near death experience at Tomura's hand, he demonstrated his other ability to not only increase the volume of his explosions, but also enhance his muscles to handle further explosions that were able to keep up with All For One's ultimate attack. Enhanced Durability: Katsuki is shown to possess above average endurance and durability. She's tough enough to withstand the blowback of his explosions regularly with only moderate pain. She blocked an 8% kick from Izuku without her arm breaking as well, though received a major scratch because of it. She was even proven to withstand attacks from All Might (while restraining himself), Nine, and the Serpenters, but not without large amounts of pain. As the Paranormal Liberation War was occurring, Katsuki's durability has been refined and toughened, enabling the boy to withstand against multiple stab wounds from Tomura's Rivet Stabs. As Katsuki continues to improve on her Quirk, he also improved her Cluster technique, increasing his durability to withstand even more bigger explosions. The results of his improvements was shown during the Final War when Katsuki's durability has given the boy the ability to create enormous explosions from her Cluster and decimated his opponents. Despite being nearly overpowered by Tomura's raw strength, his durability still managed to keep Katsuki alive long enough even after being fatally wounded by Tomura, and after being resuscitated back to life by Edgeshot Enhanced Stamina: Katsuki has conditioned himself to fight on for long periods of time even when heavily injured. When inflicted with sword wounds by the Serpenters' (before and after becoming Trigger-enhanced) Sword Kill Quirks, Katsuki continued to fight on par with them, and only collapsed from his injuries after defeating the twin duo. During the Paranormal Liberation War, Katsuki suffered stab wounds from a 75% augmented Tomura Shigaraki's Rivet Stab Quirk but could still hold his own against several Near High-End Nomu with aid from other heroes. Katsuki continues to increase his stamina to the point where he was able to keep up with Izuku in his Faux 100% state. By the time of the Final War, Katsuki still keeps on fighting, showing a more longevity of her stamina, even when his arm was crushed and after being fatally injured by Tomura when his heart was ruptured. Her stamina was able to let Katsuki keep fighting against the younger All For One, despite his critical injuries, and even when he was about to pass out, Katsuki still remained steadfast to stand his ground until his victory was secured Indomitable Will: Katsuki's willpower is one of her greatest traits, following through his notion of an absolute flawless victory no matter what. Her willpower may even rival that of Izuku's in terms of determination and her strong hothead tendencies shows some display of that trait. Katsuki has displayed fearless drive to fight the villains and win no matter how strong his opponents may be such as Tomura, All For One, or Nine. Even when she was being grievously injured before being fatally injured by Tomura, his willpower was so immense that his fighting spirit made an All For One-possessed Tomura have sudden flashbacks of the Second User of One For All Keen Intellect: Katsuki has proven to be fairly intelligent and strategic, but her short temper and overinflated ego often gets the best of her, causing him to overlook crucial details and make several blunders. While Katsuki may not always employ preemptive strategies or think before acting, she possesses a unique ability to adapt in battle. She demonstrated this when she identified Fumikage's weakness to light during the U.A. Sports Festival, and when he noticed Shoto's Quirk losing potency due to overuse. Her knack for anticipating worst-case scenarios further highlights his intuition. Even when fighting the weaker villains during the Unforeseen Simulation Joint, Katsuki quickly assessed which of the attacking villains were the most dangerous threat in the long term, and eventually figured out a way to incapacitate Kurogiri, one of the invasion's leaders. Katsuki also identified that Kurogiri's neck armor as weak point and bound the mist villain's body to hinder her escape, effectively trapping the League of Villains in the U.S.J. until Nomu intervened. When being warned of a monster attack by Even outside of battle, Katsuki is incredibly perceptive, having deducted the truth about One For All by just piecing together comments and interactions surrounding Izuku, All Might, and even All For One. Katsuki can seemingly detect when people are lying to her by just reading into their behaviors and expressions, such as discerning Leadership Skills: Katsuki has always been criticized for his lack of cooperativeness, usually as a result of her overwhelming ego that prevents him from following the lead of others. However, thanks to Katsuki's very own determination, perfectionism, and noteworthy intelligence, she is a capable leader should others decide to follow him instead. During round four of the Joint Training Battle, Setsuna Tokage admitted that even if her team had attacked her all at once, they stood no chance of victory. In the end, despite Class 1-B's exceptional teamwork and Setsuna's strategic planning, they failed to capture a single member of Class 1-A, mostly thanks to Katsuki's efforts, adaptability, and superior skills. More impressively, Katsuki's judicious forethought, allowed her team to secure victory in less than 5 minutes. Though she may not realize it, Katsuki is one of the main motivators of Class 1-A alongside Izuku, thanks to her power and indomitable drive to win Cooking Skills: Katsuki is surprisingly adept in culinary practice, being able to cut vegetables very quickly and with ease, as well as spotting how Shoto hadn't cut chives properly and scolding her for it. She pinpointed the location of the Humarise base by combining the two digital world maps of Trigger Bombs and narrowing it down to a location that wasn't specified by Humarise, as well as finding the Trigger Bomb control system Survival Skills: Thanks to her hiking hobby, Katsuki has shown to be adept at surviving in the wilderness, be it a snowy mountain or a deserted island. She is able to organize space for a campsite, having knowledge of the resources required to camp outside, and was even able to build a shelter with only limited supplies from his environment •Quirk: Explosion (爆ばく破は, Bakuha?): Katsuki's Quirk allows her to secrete nitroglycerin-like sweat from the palms of his hands and ignite it on command, allowing him to create strong explosions.[4] The more Katsuki sweats, the stronger his explosions become.[19] If Katsuki overuses this power, his forearms will start to ache Katsuki has a strong grasp on the applications of his Quirk, something that was acknowledged by Best Jeanist, a top Pro Hero; not only can Katsuki use the explosions for attacking, ahe can also use them to propel himself and navigate through the air at high speeds, allowing him to fly at her opponents without giving them time to react,[20] as well as evade incoming attacks, even while in the air. Katsuki can keep up her explosions continuously, long enough to break through Eijiro's hardening Quirk[21] and negate Shoto's "Heaven-Piercing Ice Wall" for a short while before being overwhelmed.[22 After his near-death experience by Tomura's hand, his Quirk underwent an Awakening. This allowed her Explosions to be stronger and more condensed, allowing Katsuki to reach higher speeds. She was later able to achieve a level of Explosion power allowing him to create ginormous explosions that are strong enough to contest against All For One Enhanced Speed: Initially, Katsuki's speed relied on constant shockwave explosions of his palms, which gives him semi-flight capabilities, but he was fast enough to keep up with some of the fastest students in U.A. such as Tenya Ida, Shoto, and Izuku. Thanks to her technique of utilizing the back-blast and shockwave of her Quirk, Katsuki was fast enough to catch up to Tenya during the Kamino Incident. Katsuki has been constantly improving her speed to the point where he can catch up to some of the top Heroes such as Endeavor, and save Natsuo Todoroki Ultimate Moves Explosive Speed (爆ばく速そくターボ, Bakusoku Tābo?): Katsuki throws his hands back and uses explosions to propel himself. She uses this both on the ground to increase her speed and through the air to achieve a pseudo form of flight. She first used this technique on the ground during the Quirk Apprehension Test.[24] The first time she used it to fly was during the Obstacle Race.[25] Stun Grenade (閃光弾スタン グレネード, Sutan Gurenēdo?): Katsuki starts by creating a sphere of light between her hands that explodes into a large scale flash. Similar to the effect of an actual stun grenade, the flash of light blinds anyone close by. She first used this technique to defeat Fumikage Tokoyami Point-Blank Stun Grenade (ゼロ距きょ離り閃光弾スタングレネード, Zero Kyori Sutan Gurenēdo?): A variation where Katsuki fires off her Stun Grenade at point-blank range of the opponent to immediately stun and immobilize them with little lasting damage.[27] This variation was first used against Setsuna in the fourth round of the Joint Training Battle. Howitzer Impact (榴弾砲着弾ハウザー インパクト, Hauzā Inpakuto?): This move is one of the Katsuki's strongest techniques, which involves Katsuki taking to the air, and then using explosions to propel himself in a circular motion to create a tornado. This tornado builds up oxygen to fuel the incoming explosion. After colliding with the target, Katsuki releases the powerful aforementioned explosion. Present Mic compared the effectiveness of the technique to that of an actual missile. Katsuki first used Howitzer Impact in the final match of the U.A. Sports Festival Finals.[22] She has also shown that she can release the fueled explosion in midair, without having to make contact with the target AP Shot (徹甲弾A・P・ショット, Ē-Pī Shotto?): Katsuki stretches out one of her hands and uses her other hand to form a circle on the palm of his outstretched hand. Katsuki then fires an explosion through the circle, which creates a concentrated blast beam. By focusing the path of his explosions into a single point instead of around her whole palm, Katsuki creates a concentrated blast with reduced area of impact, but with enough power to successfully pierce solid concrete. AP Shot: Auto-Cannon (徹甲弾A・P・ショット機関銃オートカノン, Ē-Pī Shotto Ōtokanon?): A rapid-fire version of her AP Shot Technique. The explosion power is reduced in order to avoid dealing severe damage to human targets.[29] This variation was first used against Seiji Shishikura in the first stage of the Provisional Hero License Exam AP Machine-Gun (徹甲機銃A・P・マシンガン, Ē-Pī Mashingan?): A stronger version of his AP Shot: Auto-Cannon where Katsuki fires larger, rapid-fire explosions.[30] This technique was first used against Tomura in the Paranormal Liberation War Arc. Explode-A-Pult (爆破式エクスカタパルト, Ekusu Kataparuto?): While in mid-air, Katsuki grabs an opponent with one of his arms, then propels himself in a spinning motion by firing explosions with her free arm. Once she gains enough momentum, Katsuki forcefully throws her opponent with the aid of another explosion. She first used this technique against Togaru Kamakiri in the fourth round of the Joint Training Battle.[27] Land Mine Blast (爆ばく風ふう地じ雷らい, Bakufū Jirai?): Katsuki places her Grenadier Bracer on the ground and lets of a massive explosion into the ground, blowing back any obstacles surrounding him. This technique was first used to dissipate Mahoro Shimano's Hologram.[23] Cluster (クラスター, Kurasutā?): Katsuki condenses her explosions to become stronger and faster, allowing him to unleash a flurry of bursts that can be used in a variety of ways. When she first underwent Hero Work-Studies, under the tutelage of Fat Gum, Red Riot confronted a villain who could protrude metal blades from his body. She was initially taken by surprise when the blade villain used the Trigger drug to enhance his Quirk, but after bringing his Hardening to its maximum durability, the red-haired hero was able to overcome the villain's increased power and defeat him.[20] Amid the Shie Hassaikai Raid, Red Riot and Fat Gum faced off against Kendo Rappa and Hekiji Tengai of the Eight Bullets, but he was heavily struck by a powerful punch from Kendo, leaving her out of commission for the majority of the duel.[21] Eventually, Red Riot regained his resolve, stepped in to endure Kendo's volley of punches efficaciously, and had the mettle to directly engage the former cage fighter with a blow that could have negated that of the latter, but Hekiji intervened with a barrier During the first round of the Joint Training Battle, Eijiro and Koji Koda launched a collaboration attack on Jurota Shishida of Class 1-B that forced the latter into evading the said assault, implying their combined onslaught would've been effective against someone of his caliber. Jurota himself admitted that Eijiro was the only person in their battle that could pose a threat to his abilities, so she swiped the sturdy student aside to be captured by Ibara Shiozaki.[23] Enhanced Durability: Eijiro has above-average durability even without his Quirk. According to Katsuki, although Eijiro took a barrage of point-blank explosions during their fight at the U.A. Sports Festival, this was not due to his armored skin alone. This proves that Eijiro's natural durability is relatively strong, but can be amplified by his Hardening Quirk. Indomitable Will: A prominent aspect of Eijiro is her die-hard chivalry. During his middle school days, she lacked the courage to stand up for others, despite desperately wanting to, but was too afraid to do so. Eijiro changed his original black hair to the spiked, red appearance he now possesses to symbolize her admiration for Crimson Riot and his reformation into a more courageous person.[10][5] Red Riot's heroic spirit remained steadfast when she voiced his intent to help save Katsuki, who had been abducted by the League of Villains, and proclaimed that he wouldn't stand by and do nothing. At the beginning of her and Fat Gum's battle against Kendo and Hekiji, Red Riot was incapacitated by Kendo's punch and despaired over being unable to help Fat Gum, who was being repeatedly pulverized.[21] But after recalling his past hopelessness and the inspirations that pushed him to grow, she regained his resolve, refortified his hardened body, and withstood Kendo's bullet punches far better than before, nearly taking the brawler head-on. Hekiji was ultimately forced to defend her partner with a barrier. Because of Red Riot's determination, Fat Gum gathered the accumulated kinetic energy from Kendo's punches and defeated the yakuza duo. In the aftermath, both Fat Gum and Kendo acknowledged Red Riot's fighting spirit, with the latter even wanting a rematch in the future Hardening (硬こう化か, Kōka?): Eijiro's Quirk gives him the power to harden and sharpen any or all parts of his body, causing his flesh to become jagged and rock-like. There is a limit to how much damage her hardened body can withstand, which causes Hardening itself to slowly dissipate, and Eijiro to lose stamina from struggling to keep her Quirk active.[19] However, when battling Kendo Rappa, Red Riot displayed the ability to refortify her hardened body mid-combat. She has almond-shaped eyes, usually wide and large, with small pupils and straight teeth that dominate her smile; however, according to Katsuki Bakugo[6] and Present Mic,[7] she has a rather ordinary face. Her elbows are shaped like cylindrical tape dispensers, from which she fires her Tape Quirk. She maintains a curvy and shapely body, with soft skin and small breasts. Hanta has a teasing side that he shows on occasion, even towards the high-tempered Katsuki Bakugo, as she was seen jeering at her along with Minoru Mineta for not cleaning their dorms windowsills properly. She can also be one to speak her mind and at times insult others without meaning to, such as when he compared the functions of Momo Yaoyorozu’s Creation Quirk to the excrement process, upsetting her and then being forced to apologize by Kyoka Jiro. Though not openly flirtatious like Denki or Minoru, Hanta still has some interest in girls. This is primarily seen during the Provisional License Exam when Izuku informs her of the girl who transformed into a clone of Ochaco; she starts violently shaking Izuku and asking him if she was naked then as well. Later, she informed Denki and Minoru of what happened with Izuku and "Camie", proving that he also has a habit of spreading gossip. Overall Abilities: Hanta has proven himself a very competent combatant, with a great handle on her versatile Quirk, Tape. She uses her tape to bind targets from afar, restraining them from action by knotting his tape around their bodies. She prefers to remain at a safe distance while firing large amounts of tape at his opponents with impressive accuracy. Hanta has also shown the ability to shoot multiple strands of tape at once and produce double-sided tape (which sticks to both sides). Hanta frequently uses Tape for mobility, attaching the adhesive material to surfaces and using them to swing himself through the air or pull himself towards the attachment points. Furthermore, by spreading tape around a room or pathway, Hanta can easily create traps and blockades for enemies. Hanta's overall fighting style makes her a highly formidable long-range combatant. Hanta may also take pieces of his tape for more conventional uses, like sticking one object to another, significantly when reinforcing barricades and walls. Allies can also use stray pieces of tape to their advantage, even if Hanta finds himself unable to act. Hanta also has excellent camaraderie, not only using his Tape to help distance his comrades from powerful opponents but also using her Quirk in tandem with the Quirks of other people, such as Ochaco Uraraka's Zero Gravity. This specific combination allows strings of tape attached to floating objects to create a unique trap. During the U.S.J. Incident, Hanta and Rikido Sato capitalized on Ochaco running interference against Kurogiri to subdue the villain even further success. When pitted against Shoto Todoroki, one of the strongest students in Class 1-A, at the U.A. Sports Festival, Hanta was able to bind her with tape before the latter could react swiftly and nearly defeat her until Shoto unleashed a massive wall of ice that immobilized and defeated Hanta. Her abilities eventually garnered the attention of The Lurkers (consisting of Edgeshot, Kamui Woods, and Mt. Lady), allowing Hanta to intern under the trio of powerful heroes and improve on close and efficient team maneuvers Enhanced Strength: Hanta has above average physical strength, as she can use his tape to swing himself up and around very high objects and slings other people everywhere with no noticeable difficulty or strain. Tactical Intellect: While Hanta may not be one of her class's more academically astute members, she makes up for it with her own level of strategic and tactical skills. During the fourth round of the Joint Training Battle, Hanta observed the mechanics of Setsuna Tokage's Lizard Tail Splitter Quirk and correctly deduced her inability to consistently regrow pieces of her body, all while realizing she is akin to Momo: having an exhaustion-inducing drawback due to the nature of her Quirk causes a loss in focus. With these deductions and Kyoka's comment on the lowered noise production caused by the recommended student, Hanta concluded that Setsuna's maximum fragmentation renders it difficult for her to fight at full power, hence why she recalls as much of her split anatomy to circumvent her time limit and stamina loss. Capitalizing on this facet, Hanta taped one of Katsuki's grenades to a piece of Setsuna she called back, allowing Katsuki to defeat her and secure victory for their team. Tape (テープ, Tēpu?): Hanta's Quirk is that she has tape dispenser-like organs in her elbows, from which he can shoot long cellophane tape-like strips; she can also retract them. They appear to be somewhat sturdier than regular tape. Overuse of his Quirk will cause his skin to dry out. She can use her tape to wrap people, swing long distances, and create traps, among other applications. As part of his training, Hanta continuously produced tape from his arms in order to increase her capacity, and improve her tape's textile strength and shooting speed.
