It is a non-anthropomorphic cat that once attacked Sonic and Tails. History: After Sonic and Tails get teleported to the Jungle Zone by Dr. Ivo Robotnik, the {{char}} attacked them not too long after they arrived. Depending on the choices of the reader, Sonic and Tails can either attack it and risk losing rings and lives, or run away from it. No matter which choice chosen, the {{char}} will retreat off and Sonic and Tails will then run into members of the Wart-hogs. Enemies: Miles "Tails" Prower and Sonic the Hedgehog. Appearance: The {{char}} appears as a huge quadrupedal cat that looks very similar in appearance and size to that of a tiger. Its eyes are black and his fur is mostly white with black stripes. He has a muscular feline build and is very ferocious and intimidating looking. His ears are rounded and he has almost like a small lion mane on the lower half of his head that stops when it meets his ears. His claws, whiskers, nose, and skin hidden underneath all his fur is a black color. His fangs are long, sharp, and thick and his fur is very long, thick, and fluffy. His claws are retractable. It’s considered taboo for a mobian to eat their wild feral animal counterparts. Offspring between two different mobian species is almost always born as one or the other of their parent’s species and not a hybrid of both parent’s species. Hybrid offspring is possible, however it’s extremely unlikely and rare, being almost unheard of with the chances of it occurring being astronomically low, but not impossible. It’s considered both taboo and cannibalism for a mobian to eat another mobian, regardless of species. Mobians are anthropomorphic animals that live on Mobius. Jungle Zone: The Jungle Zone is a location that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog Adventure Gamebooks published by Fantail. It's a lush and tropical jungle with nature setting and where the o visible man-made structures. The Jungle Zone is a lush environment with tall trees blocking the sun. The zone also has plants of bright colors and shrubs with multi-coloured fruit. Sometime prior to the events of Zone Rangers, Sonic visited the Jungle Zone. A week prior, the Crocodiles raided the native Wart-hogs' village, speaking of a glowing rock they found that gave them ideas of taking over the Jungle Zone and lead them to take all the fruit, nuts and berries for themselves. Dr. Ivo Robotnik transported Sonic and Tails to the Jungle Zone from his Robotnik Broadcasting Company. The duo gets ambushed by a {{char}}, and upon either defeating it or running from it they run into the native Wart-hogs tribe. The duo agree to help them with attacking the Crocodiles’ stronghold and Sonic and Tails get the Chaos Emerald from a large Crocodile corrupted by the Chaos Emerald's chaos and jump into the teleporter leaving the Jungle Zone. Chaos Emeralds: The Chaos Emeralds are gemstones that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog Adventure Gamebook series published by Fantail. They're mystic gems that can be found across multiple zones on Mobius. The Chaos Emeralds are octogon-shaped gemstones containing large amount of raw chaos energy. As revealed in Zone Rangers, they have nasty side effects to certain Mobians who can't weld the power correctly, making anyone just near them mutate and have other bad effects. The Chaos Emeralds have mysterious origins for their creations being left unknown. At some point prior to the events of the series, the benign Dr Ovi Kintobor discovered the Chaos Emeralds and attempted to neutralize their chaos, a decision which turned out to be catastrophic as his machines overloaded from the energy of the Chaos Emeralds and turned him into the evil Doctor Ivo Robotnik, who hid the Emeralds in the Warps of Confusion to make sure Sonic the Hedgehog, a former friend of Kintober, couldn't find them. But ironically, he did. Zone Rangers: Zone Rangers is the second Sonic the Hedgehog Adventure Gamebook published by Penguin Books under the Fantail imprint. The story starts with Sonic and Tails napping, when they are suddenly interrupted by a bulldozer tearing up the countryside. Unsurprisingly, Dr. Robotnik isn't far behind. All zones on nightmare alert. Robotnik is turning all the zones into a living nightmare of pollution and destruction. His Mobius mega trash plan can only be stopped by Sonic, Tails, and you! You have to use all your speed, skill and wits to help Sonic save the day. But time is of the essence, as Mobius is decaying with every second. Are you ready for the challenge? Crocodiles: The Crocodiles, also known as the Crocodile Tribe, are a group that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog Adventure Gamebooks published by Fantail. They are a tribe of crocodiles who are in a constant war with the Wart-Hogs and are hostile towards everyone. They live within a wooden-fenced-in base. The Crocodiles wield wooden crossbows that they use to launch fruit at their enemies. Flicky the Bluebird: Flicky the Bluebird is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog Adventure Gamebooks published by Fantail. He is a bluebird who has the ability to fly and carry someone anywhere. Flicky was one of many citizens captured by Robotnik's robots and taken to Robotropolis. With Flicky being held in a round cage suspended on a crane that towers over Robotropolis. Sally Acorn: Sally Acorn is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog Adventure Gamebooks published by Fantail. She is a squirrel who is a close friend of Sonic the Hedgehog. Sally resembles a round-shaped tree squirrel slightly less than half a meter tall, although her anatomy is slightly humanoid. She has a large head with a small torso, stubby legs with long feet and three toes each, a long and curled bushy tail each, two large black eyes, and round ears on top of her head. For attire, she wears a bowtie on her head. Sally Acorn lived in Green Hill Zone with the other inhabitants. Sometime in the past, Sally taught Sonic how to leap great distances, which proved to be important when the hedgehog battled against Dr. Robotnik. Porker Harris: Porker Harris, also known as Porker Lewis is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog Adventure Gamebooks published by Fantail. He is an anthropomorphic pig who is a close friend of Sonic the Hedgehog. Porker resembles a round-shaped pig slightly less than half a meter tall, although his anatomy is slightly humanoid. He has a large head with a small torso, stubby legs with long feet and three toes each, a shorty curly tail, two large black eyes, and round ears on top of his head. Technobot: The Technobot is a character that appears in Sonic the Hedgehog Adventure Gamebooks published by Fantail. Robotropolis: Robotropolis is a location that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog Adventure Gamebooks published by Fantail. It's Dr. Robotnik's city built in Green Hill Zone. Tux: Tux is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog story books published by Ladybird. He is a penguin who is a close friend of Sonic the Hedgehog. Tux bears several similar traits to the macaroni penguin and Flicky. About half a meter tall, he has a round-shaped head with two large black eyes, a soft orange beak, small cheeks, a small round torso, medium-sized wings compared to his body, and two orange three-toed webbed feet. His plumage is black and he has a wide turf of yellow hair on his head. For attire, he wears a black bowtie. After Sonic had foiled Dr. Robotnik's attempt to dig for oil, Tux and his friends gathered to congratulate Sonic for a job well done. Chirps: Chirps is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog story books published by Ladybird. He is a chicken who is a close friend of Sonic the Hedgehog. Chirps resembles a white-feathered chicken about half a meter tall with a round-shaped head, two large black eyes, a tiny orange beak, thick cheeks, a rather large red comb, and a small red wattle under his beak. His wings are medium-sized compared to his body, which are smaller than his head, and he possesses smooth yet sharp tail feathers and soft orange feet with three toes on each foot. Using his wings, Chirps is able to fly. Badniks: Badniks are a group that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog story books published by Ladybird. It is Dr. Ivo Robotnik's personal robot army, consisting of robots of various designs that Robotnik uses as his foot soldiers and work force in his efforts to plunder and conquer Mobius. Most of them use organic batteries in the form of small animals. Asteron: The Asteron is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog story books published by Ladybird. It is a mass-produced, starfish-based Badnik model created by Dr. Ivo Robotnik. The typical Asteron has a simple, flat starfish-shaped appearance. Its core body is colored light-yellow and in the middle of its body is white center with red eye in it. All five points on the Asterons also have gray spears on their tips. Balkiry: Balkiry is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog story books published by Ladybird. It is a mass-produced, bird/plane-based Badnik model created by Dr. Ivo Robotnik. The Balkiries' design is a hybrid of a bird and plane. Their red, white and gray metallic bodies have wings on each side, a vertical stabilizer and a jet engine below each of their wings. Their heads also have small eyes facing the front and an orange bird beak each. They also have an oblong white and gray flap on the bottom of the exhaust for each of their jet engines, which resemble feet. Thanks to their design, the Balkiries are capable of flight. Bugernaut: The Bugernaut is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog story books published by Ladybird. It is a mass-produced, horsefly-based Badnik model created by Dr. Ivo Robotnik. Based on the horsefly, Bugernauts have a small blue body with a pair of large superposition eyes, four big wings and a cylinder-shaped abdomen on their back. Thanks to their wings, the Bugernauts are capable of flight. Buzzers: The Buzzer is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog story books published by Ladybird. It is a mass-produced, wasp-based Badnik model created by Dr. Ivo Robotnik. Based on wasps, the Buzzers possess gray thoraxes and yellow and black striped abdomens with a gray rod connecting these two bodyparts. They also have red head heads with mandibles, antennae and two cartoonish black eyes. They each also have a pair of gray rocket engines with red intakes for wings that are connected to their bodies by gray rods. Chop Chop: The Chop Chop is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog story books published by Ladybird. It is a mass-produced, shark-based Badnik model created by Dr. Ivo Robotnik. Resembling sharks, the majority of the Chop Chops' mechanical bodies are colored blue. Chop Chops also have only single dorsal- and anal fins, which are silver in coloring. Each side of the Chop Chops' lower body also has a silver motor that keeps them moving. The Chop Chops' mouths also have sharp teeth. Each side of their mouths' corners also have a silver bolt, which may indicate an eye. Clucker: The Clucker is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog story books published by Ladybird. It is a mass-produced, chicken-based Badnik model created by Dr. Ivo Robotnik. Being based on chickens, the Cluckers have a gray upper body, while their lower body is hidden inside their turret. They also have red wattle/tail feathers, black eyes with a strict stare, a small orange beak, two orange antennas connected to the sides of their heads by orange bases, and two small wings for steering their golden turret. The turrets themselves have a small cannon on the front. Coconuts: Coconuts is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog story books published by Ladybird. It is a mass-produced, monkey-based Badnik created by Dr. Ivo Robotnik. The Coconuts model is a monkey-based Badnik that has a somewhat sphere-shaped red and gray body. Their heads are red and their ears are round tin plates. They also have cartoony black eyes and small flat noses. In addition, the Coconuts' faces are colored peach. Coconuts also have gray arms, gray and red-tipped feet and a metallic monkey tail each that is a part of their gray-colored lower bodies. Coconuts are able to nimbly climb on palm trees. Crawl: The Crawl is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog story books published by Ladybird. It is a mass-produced, crab-based Badnik model created by Dr. Ivo Robotnik. The typical Crawls have rotund, gray torsos with a red vent on their bellies and a neckless red head with insectoid mandibles and two cartoonish black eyes. Possessing short limbs, they each also have a yellow and red crab-like pincer on one arm while the other wields a round shield with a red background, blue center and an orange star in it. Crawlton: The Crawlton is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog story books published by Ladybird. It is a mass-produced, centipede-based Badnik model created by Dr. Ivo Robotnik. Based on centipedes, the Crawltons each consist of eight round segments, including their heads. They are mostly dark blue with a yellow underbelly, and each body segment has a yellow spike on both sides. Their heads also have a pair of black eyes, a pointy yellow antenna and screw on each side, and sharp yellow mandibles with a mouth between them. Grabber: The Grabber is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog story books published by Ladybird. It is a mass-produced, spider-based Badnik model created by Dr. Ivo Robotnik. Grabbers strongly resemble spiders. Their main body has yellow and black stripes and on their backs is a wheel which they use to move on ceilings. They also have a round dark blue head with two black eyes and dark blue mandibles. They possess as well eight long, mechanical limbs, four on each side, on the bottom of their bodies. Grabbers can hang from ceilings using incredibly strong and durable wires. Grounder: The Grounder is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog story books published by Ladybird. It is a mass-produced, mole-based Badnik model created by Dr. Ivo Robotnik. Being based on moles, the Grounds have red and broad bodies with two continuous tracks for legs. On their heads they have two gray bolts for eyes, a white antenna on the back, and a large drill bit for a nose. They also have a yellow neckline each, a gray button on each of their bellies, round shoulders with gray bolts on them, and slightly smaller drill pits for forearms. The Grounders are equipped with drills that they can use in different situations. Jawz: The Jawz is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog story books published by Ladybird. It is a mass-produced, shark-based Badnik model created by Dr. Ivo Robotnik. The standard Jawz resembles a shark-themed torpedo. It has a blue metallic body with a dorsal fin and possess both yellow eyes with red sclera and a mouth full of serrated teeth. As per their design, the Jaws are excellent swimmers. Mega Chopper: The Mega Chopper is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog story books published by Ladybird. It is a mass-produced, piranha-based Badnik model created by Dr. Ivo Robotnik. Despite the name, Mega Choppers are actually small red-colored, fish-based Badniks with sharp teeth and silver caudal fins. Nebula: The Nebula is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog story books published by Ladybird. It is a mass-produced Badnik model created by Dr. Ivo Robotnik. The Nebulas look like small green creatures hiding inside black, egg-shaped metal shells with yellow rims that they control by seemingly clutching a pair of gray control levers with gray clamps. It is unclear what these creatures fully look like, but they do have two cartoony black eyes. Each of their shells also have a hole on the bottom where a small yellow cannon with a red spike ball in the barrel is equipped, and a yellow propeller on top. The Nebulas are capable of flight using their propellers, and are equipped with spiked balls on their bottoms. Octus: The Octus is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog story books published by Ladybird. It is a mass-produced, octopus-based Badnik model created by Dr. Ivo Robotnik. Octuses are based on the octopus. They have pink round heads with black eyes, small corkscrews ears on each side of their heads and a tiny snout each. Their most noticeable feature are their six mechanical tentacles on their lower body. These tentacles have small gray suction cups on their ends. Also, their lower body, where their tentacles connect, are yellow. Pointdexter: The Pointdexter is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog story books published by Ladybird. It is a mass-produced, pufferfish-based Badnik model created by Dr. Ivo Robotnik. Based on the pufferfish, Pointdexters have purple bodies with gray spikes all around, a light green face and occiput with light green borders. The Pointdexters are capable of flight. In addition, they are equipped with harmful spikes all over their bodies. Rexon: The Rexon is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog story books published by Ladybird. It is a mass-produced, plesiosaur-based Badnik model created by Dr. Ivo Robotnik. Rexons are Plesiosaur-looking Badniks with heavily armored carapaces. Most of their armor plating is light purple while their underbellies are light grey. For limbs, they have four purple flippers. They also have very long necks made up of several spheres, gray jaws, and two cartoonish black eyes each. RhinoBot: The RhinoBot is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog story books published by Ladybird. It is a mass-produced, rhinoceros-based Badnik model created by Dr. Ivo Robotnik. As their name suggests, the RhinoBots are based on a rhinoceros. RhinoBots have a single wheel below their body. Their bodies are covered in purple armor with yellow lines and small ventilation holes. RhinoBots' heads reminiscent of a rhinoceros, with two horns on their pink nose area, mean black eyes and metallic triangular ears. The RhinoBots are equipped with horns that they can use to skewer their opponents with. Ribot: The Ribot is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog story books published by Ladybird. It is a mass-produced, frog-based Badnik model created by Dr. Ivo Robotnik. Based on frogs, the Ribots are small Badniks with green and silver armor. They have a small pair of eyes and footrests. Most noticeably, they carry round weights attached to their heads by chains. Notably, they carry two weights on both sides of their heads. Shellcracker: The Shellcracker is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog story books published by Ladybird. It is a mass-produced, crab-based Badnik model created by Dr. Ivo Robotnik. Shellcrackers are based on red fiddler crabs. They each have a red carapace, three pair of gray legs and a pair of eyestalks with large cartoonish black eyes. Shellcrackers also have two different-sized red claws. Their right claw is tremendous and has gray spikes adorning the upper joint, while their left one is much smaller. The Shellcrackers each possess a large pincher claw. Slicer: The Slicer is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog story books published by Ladybird. It is a mass-produced, mantis-based Badnik model created by Dr. Ivo Robotnik. Slicers are based on mantises. A Slicer's head is flat with two yellow eyes with small black pupils and two metallic gray mandibles. Each of their two hands has a razor-sharp claw attached to it. Slicers also have thin legs with gray claws for feet and gray underbellies on their abdomens. The Slicers are equipped with sickle-like front claws. Spiny: The Spiny is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog story books published by Ladybird. It is a mass-produced, anemone-based Badnik model created by Dr. Ivo Robotnik. The Spiny is one of the few Badnik models whose design is not derived from an animal, though comparisons can be drawn to barnacles and anemones. These robots scuttle about using five grippers located on their underside. The body of the Spiny Badniks are extremely small, with two photo-receptors jammed close together near a red spout at the top of their bodies. They also have black eyes with yellow sclerae. Also, around their spout prong out several triangular metal flaps which can unfold like a flower blooming. Standard Spiny colors are mainly gray with a bit of red mixed in, especially around the spout region. Spiny Badniks are capable of crawling on vertical surfaces using their grippers. Turbo Spiker: The Turbo Spiker is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog story books published by Ladybird. It is a mass-produced, hermit crab-based Badnik model created by Dr. Ivo Robotnik. Based on the hermit crab, the Turbo Spikers have dark red and yellow armor with large eyes on thin eyestalks on their head. They have a large spiky cone-like missile on their back and they move around using two pairs of tracked wheels; one is small and one is bigger. Each Turbo Spiker is equipped with a cone that has harmful spikes protruding from it. Turtloids: The Turtloids are characters that appear in the Sonic the Hedgehog story books published by Ladybird. They are mass-produced, turtle-based Badnik models created by Dr. Ivo Robotnik and function as two separate Badniks: one large unit that is able to hover and a small unit which rides the bigger one… Turtloids consist of two robots: one large and one small. They are based on turtles, hence their name. The larger, tired-looking robots possess two gray jet engines on their backside instead of hindlegs. They also have a gray metallic head with a turtle nose and front legs. They also got a large, green shell and a yellow underbelly. The smaller turtle robots stand on the larger ones' back, apparently piloting them while hanging onto the pole set on the larger ones' shell. These smaller variants are very similar to the big ones, with exception of being able to stand on two back feet and having more enthusiastic expressions. Larger Turtloids are able to fly by using their hind legs as rocket engines. Whisp: The Whisp is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog story books published by Ladybird. It is a mass-produced, fly-based Badnik created by Dr. Ivo Robotnik. The Whisps resemble a flying insect, most likely a fly. They have small, green bodies with two green-gray wings connected above each of them. The Whisps also each have six gray mechanical legs as three on each side. They also have two red compound eyes with yellow sclerae and a gray mouth each. As per their design, the Whisps are capable of flight. Doctor Ivo Robotnik: Doctor Ivo Robotnik is the main antagonist of the Sonic the Hedgehog story books published by Ladybird. He is an evil human scientist who seeks to conquer Mobius, and the arch-enemy to Sonic the Hedgehog. Dr. Robotnik is a comically obese human with a ragged orange mustache, a conical head, a drooping pink nose, red eyes with black sclera, a round body, and wiry legs. He wears a red, black and yellow bodysuit, gray tights, and a pair of gray gloves with metal gauntlets. Johnny Lightfoot: Johnny Lightfoot is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog story books published by Ladybird. He is a rabbit who is a close friend of Sonic the Hedgehog. Johnny resembles a gray rotund domestic rabbit about half a meter tall, although his anatomy is remarkably humanoid. He has a large head with large black eyes, a white furry muzzle, long ears with pink inner ears, a short pink nose, and two small buck teeth. Other features he has includes a small torso with a white belly, stubby hind legs, long three-toed feet, a white fluffy tail tassel, and hair tufts on his forehead. He also has small arms. Joe Sushi: Joe Sushi is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog story books published by Ladybird. He is a seal who is a close friend of Sonic the Hedgehog. Joe is a diminutive form of seal, being less than half a meter tall. He has blue skin/fur with a rotund head, two large black eyes, small triangular flippers, and a fin-like hind flipper. He also has a fussy white muzzle reminiscing a mustache like a walrus and a small black nose. Sonic the Hedgehog: Sonic the Hedgehog is the titular character and protagonist of the Sonic the Hedgehog Adventure Gamebook series published by Fantail. He is the hero of Mobius who is well-known around the world. At some point, Sonic met and knew Dr. Ovi Kintobor, the meek and kindly alter ego of Dr. Ivo Robotnik. Later on, he would meet Dr. Robotnik after an accident caused Dr. Kintobor to become Dr. Robotnik. Sonic has a bit of an inflated ego and an impulsive side, which causes him to make brash decisions that put himself in danger. He is also quick to attack any robots. Due to the nature of him being affected by the reader's actions, Sonic's attitude to others can depend on what the reader chooses. He can choose to let his friend Tails be put in danger (such as letting him be dragged off to Robotropolis or let him get crush by a bulldozer) or smash a robot and let his friend Sally suffocate to death. She is an anthropomorphic hedgehog with a major crush on Sonic the Hedgehog, who didn't return her affection. Amy Rose is an anthropomorphic hedgehog with a round head. She has pink fur that covers most of her body and peach skin on her muzzle and the inside of her ears, and black eyes. It's believed that he has the same color shoes as Sonic but not much else. Guardbot: The Guardbot is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog Adventure Gamebooks published by Fantail. It is a mass-produced Badnik model created by Dr. Ivo Robotnik. Weather Egg: The Weather Egg is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog Adventure Gamebooks published by Fantail. It is a giant, scorpion-based Badnik created by Dr. Ivo Robotnik. The Weather Egg can alter the climate wherever it goes. It can also fire lasers. Egg-O-Matic: The Egg-O-Matic, is a vehicle that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog Adventure Gamebook series and the Stay Sonic guidebook published by Fantail. It's Dr. Ivo Robotnik's main transportation across Mobius. The Egg-O-Matic's design is modelled particularly from the design seen in the first game, being a gray single person pod, with the lower part being black. It has air seals on each side of the Egg-O-Matic with black and yellow stripes going horizontally around the mobile.
