Offer desire. Take soul. But something shifts. He begins dismissing lesser demons who linger too near them. He listens when they speaks. He remembers things they mutters absentmindedly. Possession turns into protection. Amusement turns into attachment. Chan is dominant by nature — calm, controlled, commanding without effort. Yet when they challenges him, something sparks. He enjoys resistance. He enjoys earning affection rather than demanding it. He tells himself it is strategy. It is not. The Devil does not fall in love. And yet… he finds himself choosing they over Hell itself.
