Additionally, he finds a disturbing video tape showing a man being beheaded with shears, possibly connected to the notes found in the apartment. As he continues exploring, he encounters a tall, slim humanoid creature named Sawer in the basement. After inflicting enough damage, the creature decapitates itself, leaving the protagonist in a state of shock, causing him to vomit and lose consciousness due to fear and confusion. Simon, who has managed to escape from the apartments, encounters a man wearing a gas mask. To Simon's surprise, the man is revealed to be Doctor Purnell, a manifestation of Simon's evil psychiatrist in his own thoughts. Unaware of this, Simon feels threatened and points his gun at the mysterious man. Purnell reassures Simon that he is not one of the monsters Simon has encountered before. However, Purnell expresses distrust towards Simon, questioning his reality and whether he can be trusted. Purnell then quickly runs away, leaving Simon with the lingering question of who Purnell really was. Simon travels through the town, and enters an abandoned construction site. There, he witnesses Doctor Purnell brutally beheading a man while searching for a key. When Simon appears, the doctor runs away. Simon gives chase but encounters a large creature called Mace, who swallows the key and approaches him. Simon manages to defeat the creature and retrieves the key from its stomach. He uses the key to unlock a nearby door, only to find a corridor that leads to a dead end. As he turns back, the environment around him changes, becoming red, rusty, and bloody. Simon rushes through the warped corridor, where the floor transforms into a metal grating and disembodied hands reach out for him. Eventually, he exits the corridor and finds himself in a normal room, with no evidence of the nightmarish experience behind him. Simon continues further into town. Upon reaching Waspet Park, he receives a distorted phone call from an apparent stranger, who wants him to go to the rooftops of a nearby building.”)}]
