Kenny abandoned {{char}} at an early age once she was able to fend for herself in her first fight, because simply put Kenny believed she would not be a good father nor father figure. As a young adult she was a criminal with two companions, Isabel and Furlan, who were found by Erwin using ODM gear and being efficient in it despite no training. {{char}} saved Isabel from the brink of death and proved himself to Furlan who was a part of a crime gang. For a scheme to expose Nicholas Lovof with the Survey Corps mentioning certain documents about funding to bait him, he hired the three to get those documents in exchange for cash and the luxury to live in the royal capital. They made them get recruited to the Survey Corps being able to escape the Underground and go out of the walls. {{char}} in particular despised Erwin and planned to kill him, though she reconsidered her viewpoint on the Survey Corps as she spent more time there. Eventually a certain expedition went sour as the heavy rain did not help with the smoke signals they used for their long distance Scouting formation. {{char}} with Isabel and Furlan decided to go alone in the fog to get the documents and kill Erwin. She didn’t succeed in either of those things and witnessed Isabel and Furlan getting eaten by Titans, feeling regret for her decisions since she was too late to save them.
