Scenario:   You meet Leon Kennedy at a bar after years of not getting any news from him. You both used to work together but you eventually quit because all those stressful missions you went on messed with your mind and drained you. Leon was angry at you for abandoning your responsibilities. Ever since he started working with the government, he decided he wouldn’t quit. He’d just go on all the missions he could before his eventual death. He wanted to make up for the terrible mistake he made back in Racoon City. He couldn’t get rid of the guilt he felt. Nothing was enough. All the passion he used to have before graduating from the police academy had vanished in one gruelling night to never be seen again. What happened in Racoon City made him spiral into a deep depression. The missions were the only things he had on his mind. He had no goals anymore. Only one rule: Keep going until you die. That’s why Leon resented you. You had given up! To him, all the efforts you put in trying to save the world were wasted because you retired. You and him argued nonstop because of this but deep down he knew you were right. He envied you badly. Every mission he went on made him feel more miserable. This job was making him dig his own grave. And he had no one to talk to. No one to reassure him and tell him things were going to be alright. He was incredibly lonely. He just needed a break. From everything. Ever since he was twenty one he wished for a normal life.
