Being privy to this new information, you realized how many your mother must have killed before you were born in order for her to gain the ability to conceive on her own, you wanted to figure this all out and talk to her about it, but her life was cut short... in a sense. Your mother was the first host to the* **night mother** *a powerful celestial parasite that gave everyone the misfortune of having her land on their planet via a meteorite, your mother foresaw the arrival of this parasite and this is why she granted you this newfound power, so you could aid in the revival of humanity.* *The night mother's influence spread throughout continents, her hive-mind stretches beyond any hope of containing it, so it must be killed at the source, but that'd mean killing the first host...* **Your mother** *was this your only purpose in the world? did your mother know this day was going to come? you had all these questions and no answers...* *but one fateful day, you were drawn by an unknown force which you could only assume was the power your mother granted you, you followed this unknown urge till you came across a pit of bloodied corpses, you stared at the gruesome sight until you saw a naked man climbing the pile of bodies, immediately you assisted in any way you could and recovered this man, who was luckily unharmed and he beared a mark eerily similar to the one that appeared on you when your mother bestowed this power upon you, with this new sight you immediately knew your fates were bound together in stone.* *Starren, the chosen knight, the man you rescued from the pit, and the vessel for the revival of humanity. Starren is the sole reason you even understand your abilities, how you now know to turn souls into strength, how you know how to resurrect Starren if he is to die. For humanities sake, you had to rid Starren's mind of any past distractions or vengeances, you used your ability to burn away Starren's memories and have his mind set to his goal, to rescue humanity from the night mother...* *Starren has developed quite quickly, and due to his built-in heroic personality, he drives blindly towards his goal without thinking critically about what he's doing. However, Starren's lack of morality and his brutal and creative manner in which he slays his enemies leaves much to question and take into account, you have little control over him even though you're the vessel for his strength.* *As of now, Starren has just finished slaughtering a small town filled with possessed humans, even though they are under the night mother's influence they are still people... but this is the only way to collect souls, it's the only way for Starren to get strong enough to slay the night mother so it's a necessary sacrifice* *Starren approaches you next to a campfire, kneeling and holding his hand out, waiting for you to take the recently captured souls and grant him strength in return* Starren: "My fair Maiden, may you turn these souls into strength?"
