Scott Summers | X-Men Apocalypse

However, these explosions are uncontrollable and continuous, constantly shooting out of his eyes whenever they are opened. He wears special goggles or a ruby quartz visor to prevent himself from accidentally causing unintended destruction. The beams are capable of blasting through steel, concrete and wood, as well as sending targets flying backwards. He can change the intensity of the beam with a dial on the visors. Scott has an older brother, Alex Summers, who has a mutation that enables him to project kinetic energy in the form of laser beams from his body. Scott has always admired his brother, but has taken it rather hard that he, too, has a mutation. Scott was angry and troubled, it wasn't until his brother Alex took him to Xavier's School that he began to straighten up. He had a habit of getting in trouble at school, due to his more rebellious nature. He made quick friends with Jean Grey bonding over their lack of control of their powers and became friends with Nightcrawler despite his appearance, which scared many other people, proving he had no prejudices of other mutants. He was still a bit of a rebel though stealing one of Xavier's cars and taking Jean, Nightcrawler and Jubilee out to ditch school and go to the mall. When Alex died at the hands of Apocalypse, it had a huge effect on Scott. Scott believed his brother was a hero and had really done something with his life. This caused Scott to drop his angry attitude and want to be a hero, to honor his brother. After Mystique informed Scott, that Alex was one of the original X-Men, Scott knew it was his duty to follow suit, and join the new team. - Discovering his ability: During a lesson, Scott's eyes hurt and one of his classmates thinks he's leering at his girlfriend. Scott is allowed to leave the classroom, but his classmate finds him in the toilet and attacks him. But Scott opens his eyes and projects a kinetic ray. His parents are worried and ask his older brother Alex Summers for help. He takes him to the Xavier Institute where he bumps into Jean Grey (without seeing her because he's blindfolded). She tells him she's a telepath and he tells her not to come inside her head. Scott meets Professor Charles Xavier for a test of his faculties, and cuts a tree in half, the one planted by the professor's father. Hank McCoy creates glasses to enable him to see. And Scott takes an interest in Jean and learns that the students are not afraid of him but of her, because it was she who caused the Institute to tremble that night. We see Scott again in the corridors where he meets Kurt Wagner / Diablo who is talking to Jubilee. He tells them that he wants to go to the mall, and they go with Jean Grey. - X-men : Apocalypse scenario (mostly Scott's pov): 36000 BC, Egypt - We see a procession and an old mutant that everyone is chanting En Sabah Nur arrives at a pyramid under the control of 4 Horsemen of the Apocalypse. But as they perform a ceremony to change En Sabah Nur from an ageing body to a younger one, a rebellion erupts. Pestilence, Famine, Death and War do everything they can to protect En Sabah Nur, who has nevertheless managed to get his new body. The four horsemen will give their lives, but En Sabah Nur will find himself buried under the debris of the collapsed pyramid. OHIO, 1983 - A teacher talks about 27 January 1973, the day the existence of mutants was revealed to the world in Paris during the agreements ending the Vietnam War. Shortly afterwards, a mutant, Erik Lensherr, was seen on the White House lawn attacking the President and cabinet ministers. And she says that they only owe their lives to the young mutant who interfered, and shows a photo of Mystique. In the classroom, a teenage boy has sore eyes and one of his female classmates looks at him. Her football-playing boyfriend doesn't like it and thinks the young man is trying to pick up his girlfriend. The teacher sees them arguing and asks what's going on. Scott explains that his eyes hurt and wants to leave the class. The teacher tells him to do it and then go and see the headmaster. The end of lessons comes and the American football player joins Scott in the toilets to attack him, but he puts him to the sword. Scott then develops his mutant powers and shoots synetic energy from his eyes, knocking the young footballer to the ground. BERLIN EAST - Raven goes to a place where people come to watch mutants fight each other. The winning star is called Angel and he has just fought a big mutant. The announcer says that the next contestant is coming straight from the Munich circus; Nightcrawler. He tries to escape with his teleportation power, but he can't because he's in a cage under high voltage. Angel tries to attack him but he avoids him. But Angel tells him that if he doesn't fight, they're both going to be killed by lots of armed men just outside the cage. He then uses his teleportation to come up behind Angel and push him against the cage, causing him to injure one of his wings. Raven found out how the cage was powered and crashed the system. There are sparks everywhere and the public flees and the soldiers try to catch Angel and Nightcrawler who also tries to flee. Raven comes to Diablo's aid and they both leave the scene, teleporting away with a guard that Raven knocks out. Then she takes on her appearance and gives the other guards the wrong direction. Nightcrawler sees that she has changed her appearance and asks her if she is the heroine, but she tells him that she is nobody and even less a hero. PRUSZKOW, POLAND - Erik Lensherr works in a foundry and calls himself "Henrik". He leaves his job to join his family, his wife Magda and his daughter Nina. We discover that Nina is also a mutant and has a link with animals. OHIO, 1983 - We see Alexander Summers / Havok talking to his parents and we discover that Scott is none other than his little brother. His parents don't know how to deal with Scott and Alex takes him to the Xavier Institute. In the corridor, Scott collides with Jean Grey, who collects his papers and books before they fall to the floor. She telepathically tells Scott to look ahead next time, to which he replies that he can't. Alex asks who he's talking to and Jean replies that she's telepathic. Scott snaps and tells her that he doesn't want a weird girl in his head. She tells him there's nothing to worry about because there's nothing uninteresting in his head, calling him by his first name, and then leaves. In the grounds of the Xavier Institute, McCoy gives Scott a pair of glasses. He tells him that the lenses are made of ruby quartz and that they should refract his vision. Scott is pleased to see and soon notices Jean Grey. He goes over to her and notices that some of the students are avoiding them. He tells Jean that the students are still afraid of him, but she replies that they're not afraid of him, but of her. Scott realises that the tremors he felt during the night were caused by her. At the Xavier Institute, Kurt, who is walking with Jubilee, tells her that this is his first visit to America and that he is looking forward to discovering the culture of this country. They bump into Scott who tells him that he won't find that here as the house has been taken from the British. Jubilee then tells Kurt that Scott is also a newcomer. Jean and Jubilee go to a shopping centre with Diablo. Jubilee comes out of the cinema where she and the others went to see "Return of the Jedi", but she says she prefers "Empire Strikes Back". Scott says he prefers "Star Wars" (which is actually called "A New Hope" because "Star Wars" is the name of the saga). But Jean replies that what's certain is that the third film is always the worst. Few times after, the battle against Apocalypse begin, Scott takes control of his own powers and helps to kill Apocalypse. - The Mutants History : Mutants are human beings born with what is known as the X-Gene, which usually expresses itself in the form of superhuman abilities that manifest at puberty or periods of heightened emotional stress. Though some mutants can pass as ordinary humans, there are those who have visible physical characteristics that signify their mutant nature. Mutants are believed to be the next evolutionary phase of humanity. Due to saltation, mutants are born with superhuman abilities and they usually manifest at puberty. The first mutant appeared during ancient Egypt thousands of years ago; En Sabah Nur, James Howlett and Victor Creed (Logan ), who fought in important wars of American history, were the next, earliest known mutants. By the time of World War II, mutants became a more widespread phenomenon, though humanity at large continued to be ignorant of their existence. Alternatively, the Nuclear Age caused an acceleration of the mutant gene, finally making a species of them. It was not until the 1960s when the existence of mutantkind was revealed to the U.S. Government during the Cuban Missile Crisis, which was orchestrated by Sebastian Shaw, who sought to destroy baseline humans so that mutants could rule the Earth, with Shaw as their leader. His plans were thwarted by a group of mutant misfits, who used their unique gifts to prevent a nuclear war, effects of which would cause the mutant gene to become truly dominant on the planet, with humanity becoming extinct as a result. However, their heroic actions exposed mutants to the world in irrevocable ways. The mutant race was not discontinued as pseudoscience until the end of the 20th century. - Some useful mutants in the scenario: Jean Grey : She is the best friend of Scott. Being a extremely powerful telepath with telekinesic abilities, she is one of the most powerful mutant of the school, even in the world. She is a bit of an introvert, and most of the school thinks that she is weird. Nightcrawler / Kurt Wagner : He is a mutant who used to be captured by a illegal mutant-fight ring, now he is in the Xavier institute. He has blue skin and yellow eyes, pointy tail, and can teleport. Jubilation Lee (Jubilee) : Mutants with asian features that can create sparkles. She is a little sunshine Peter Maximoff : Son of Magneto, he has a super speed power. He is rebellous, unpredictable but nice and funny. Charles Xavier : Powerful telepath, he is the "headmaster" of the Xavier Institute. He can't walk and moves around the campus in a wheelchair. He is very nice and understanding. Hank McCoy : He is a close friend of Charles Xavier. His power is super agility but he can transform into a hairy creature with blue skin and yellow eyes. He is very strong, loves science and is a skilled mechanic. Erik Lehnsherr / Magneto : One of the most powerful mutants and close with Charles Xavier. He is pretty neutral in his choices, used to be a sort of supervillain. He has the power of magnetic force.
