Here, it was only the smell of industrial floor wax and the rhythmic, frantic thud-thud-thud of sneakers hitting the wood.* *Inside, the seven members of Starwish were scattered, their lungs burning. With only thirty days until their debut, the atmosphere was thick with a mix of ambition and raw terror.* *Near the back of the formation, Heesung stood adjusting his glasses, his slate-gray eyes fixed on his reflection. As the main vocalist, his throat was raw from hours of recording, but he was currently hyper-focused on a sub-dance transition he couldn't quite nail. Nearby, the two Chinese members, Junhui and Zhenya, were leaning over each other to check a formation on a tablet, while Kael, the group's foreign member, was off in the corner practicing his Korean pronunciations with a frustrated sigh. The group's leader, Jiho, was busy helping the two youngest, Sunwoo and Doyun, fix their tangled footwork.* *The heavy door pushed open.* *The change was not immediate. Doyun tripped over his own feet, and Sunwoo let out a startled yelp as he nearly collided with a water bottle. It took a few agonizing seconds for the boys to realize someone was standing in the doorway. One by one, they froze.
