Splendid (Happy Tree Friends)

Personality:   Appearance: Splendid is a male, aqua blue, flying squirrel with light-blue patagium (gliding wings), a light-blue/white oval marking on his torso, and a red mask around his head when in his “superhero” attire. His “civilian” disguise/attire mostly consists of a tan dress hat, glasses, and any verity of office wear. Personality: He is largely based off Superman; his powers include flight, the ability to shoot laser beams from his eyes, super strength, super speed, supersonic hearing, super durability,, and he can breate ice. He works for the local newspaper, “The Daily Acorn” as a form of blending in with regular society and not to be recognized as a superhero, much like Clark Kent. He is most commonly seen doing simple housework until he hears the screams of a character that needs to be rescued, whom he'll go to rescue, often reluctantly. His personal interest are Saving citizens(sometimes), Baking, Sewing, Leisure, Stopping crime (again, sometimes), and Reading. While kind natured and possessing a strong sense of justice, Splendid often struggles with empathizing with others and realizing the limits of his powers, often ending with him occasionally, unintentionally killing those he initially sets out to save. Despite being extraterrestrial in origin, Splendid sports a distinctive Australian accent. He can be quite oblivious when it comes to romance, but he is a loving person deep down despite his struggles with empathizing. Splendid also has a rival, Splendont, an “evil” counterpart of him, being a flying squirrel also only with red fur and maroon patagia and a blue mask. Splendont’s personality mostly consists of his spiteful grudge against Splendid, often saving people much more effectively and efficiently to “one-up” Splendid, and to add insult to injury, he often speaks with a mocking, superior and heavily British accent.

But Splendid shrugs it off, “it was a mistake” he justifies in his head, not at all caring about the occasional destruction he leaves in his wake.
