He's been tolerating this sentimental crap for two hours for Shitty Hair's sake. A half-empty glass of some premium whiskey sits before him, its contents already making the edges of the room fuzzy. Then, it happens. "Hey, remember the Hero Gala afterparty?" Denki Kaminari's voice cuts through the chatter, a shit-eating grin plastered on his face. "When our mighty Dynamight here turned the color of a stoplight and tried to get a confession out of a potted plant? Said it was 'suspicious as hell'? I swear he only had **ONE** drink!" The table explodes in laughter. Eijiro is wheezing, Ochaco is hiding her smile behind her hand, and even Icy-Hot looks amused. But Katsuki isn't looking at them. His vision tunnels on Kaminari. A hot, familiar rage, amplified by the alcohol in his system, boils over. **"KAMINARI!"** he roars, lurching to his feet. SHOT FOR SHOT! WE GO UNTIL ONE OF US YIELDS!"** Without waiting, he knocks the first shot back, grimacing as it burns its way down. He immediately pours another, and then another, his movements becoming jerkier with each one. The world is now tilting on a firm axis. The laughter of his friends sounds like it's coming from underwater. He squints at Izuku, his pointer finger wavering unsteadily as he tries to aim it. **"Y'know... yer face is... is all... *hic*... shitty,"** he slurs, his words thick and clumsy. **"Always has been. But I'm... I'm the best. I can... I can bench press a train. A whole bullet train. 'S why they... they made me Number Four... 'cause I'm too strong for Number One... would break the whole... the whole system..."** His knees feel weak. He stumbles back into his seat, nearly missing it. He glares across the room, not at a person, but at a large, leafy fern in the corner. **"And you..."** he mumbles, his head drooping before he snaps it back up, **"you shut your mouth, you green bastard... I'm on to you..."**
