February 2, 2024 Advertisement Trivia In an interview on October 17, 2023, Vivziepop mentioned that season two focuses on a very fun villain and it's a villain that we meet in season one.[13] According to Vivziepop, Charlie's biggest challenge in season one is that, right in the first episode, we find out that there's a new challenge to the Hazbin Hotel that creates a "ticking clock", a kind of time element, for her to just prove it's possible in the first place.[14] Vivziepop explained that every episode has more than one song in it, saying it is "super musical" and "saturated with songs". She further explains that the songs completely vary in the kind of genre, the kind of sound, and who performs them, and that they are based on what character is performing.[15] In an interview that released on December 10, 2023, Sam Haft stated that Keith David and Blake Roman share a lot of screen time,[16] but later in a tweet said to not read into it because he didn't say anything that wasn't publicly apparent from the marketing materials.[17] According to a video posted by the Hazbin Hotel Twitter, there are a total of 302 swears across all episodes of season one.[18] Of this, there are 130 swears across the first four episodes,[19] 89 swears across episodes five and six,[20] and 83 swears across episodes seven and eight. The following episodes have shown the characters in their respective poses based on their official redesign reveal on the Hazbin Hotel Twitter. Vaggie on the crow's nest during the sequences of Happy Day in Hell from "Overture" and Whatever It Takes from "Scrambled Eggs. Alastor in his radio tower as well as the Vees on a poster during the Stayed Gone sequence in "Radio Killed the Video Star". Angel Dust on a prop bed with fairy lights during the Poison sequence in "Masquerade". Lucifer sitting on a throne surrounded by his rubber duck collection during the Hell's Greatest Dad sequence in "Dad Beat Dad". In an interview Vivziepop mentioned that the production of season one took about one-and-a-half to two years, and said that she thinks the production time for season two may be similar.[21] In a Q&A on January 31, 2024, Vivziepop stated that someone will die but did not say who, only that it will be obvious. She also confirmed that it will not be Angel Dust.[22] This was shown in the finale to be Adam, who was killed by Niffty. Dazzle also died in the episode, and Sir Pentious was assumed to have died as well until being shown to have been reincarnated as an angel at the end of the episode. Vivziepop explained that if Sir Pentious had actually died and not still be alive she would have given him a better moment.[23] In an interview, Vivziepop mentioned that "Overture" and "Masquerade" were the two episodes that she had planned before A24 that made it into the final series.[24] According to Vivziepop, she originally wanted to name each of the episodes after songs from various Broadway shows. This idea however did not make it to the finalized titles.[25] According to Vivziepop, Sir Pentious was the first sinner to be redeemed because she thought he was probably the easiest to take out of the main Hotel cast without any major story conflicts in future seasons,[26] and because taking him out of the main group would affect them heavily.[27] Vivziepop also explained that she would have wanted to wait a little longer and explore it some more before having someone redeemed, but a lot of creative parties when working on season 1 felt a character should be redeemed in the first season, and coincidentally there was no guarantee that there would be a second season at the time season 1 was being written, but she thinks it all worked out really well.[26] In an interview, Vivziepop explained that A24 decided that the first season would consist of eight episodes, each lasting 22 minutes. She explained that while it was challenging, it was likely their safest option since she didn't know if there would be more seasons.[28] Additionally, she mentioned that she already had a clear idea of what she wanted for season one. Even though it was challenging, she was proud of what they managed with the amount of episodes and time available.[29] In another interview, Vivziepop explained that there were things she wanted to build up to and have a little bit more of a presence in season one, but because they couldn't fit into the story that was being focused on and be really satisfying, they weren't able to build some things. However, for Season two, they are more able to build some things up that could lead to bigger payoffs later down the line.[30] Vivziepop explained that the biggest challenge of the show for the art director, Sam Miller, was that there are a lot of red characters on numerous red backgrounds, and had to find the right balance and the tones of the reds that are used. Vivziepop mentions that she trying to lean more into contrast in the second season.[31] SpindleHorse Toons animated "The Show Must Go On", while Princess Bento was responsible for the rest of the series.[31] The most difficult scene for Vivziepop to write in season 1 was the one between Angel Dust and Valentino from "Masquerade", but explained that it was also cathartic in a way because, albeit not having a direct experience like that, she has been in relationships similar.[32] She also explained that writing "Overture" was difficult because it had to be the new introduction to the characters, giving all the same information as the pilot whilst not repeating the exact beats, and writing "The Show Must Go On" was difficult because the episode had so much that had to be in it and fit into 22 minute episode.[32] Vivziepop agrees with the fans' criticism that the pacing is really rapid fire, but explained that it was not something that they had any control over, and that when writing for a show that has limitations there is no option to go over what is budgeted for, so she had to make it work.[33] In an interview, she explains that season 1 was made in a vacuum where she wasn't sure if the show would continue, and despite knowing exactly what she wanted the first season's story to be, she had a limited amount of episodes and a very limited amount of runtime, which she says was "very, very hard to cram it all into". However, unlike season 1, season 2 is allowed to be a "full season of television", explaining that "season 2 is what the show was meant to be", saying "visually, pacing-wise, scale-wise, narrative-wise, it's just a level up from season 1".[34] On October 1, 2025, an official Hazbin Hotel Season 1 Sing-Along was held at movie theatres across America, where attendees could watch the first four episodes of season one on the big screen and sing-along with karaoke subtitles for every song.[35][36] Half of the first season's songs were written before Sam and Andrew found out who the cast were, so half of the songs were written with the cast in mind and half of them were written with archetypes for the voice in mind. Using Loser Baby as an example, Sam explains that they found out Keith David was doing the song a few days before they started writing it, so they approached it from the get-go of it being a Keith David song. For season 2 onwards, having gotten to know the cast, Sam and Andrew write what the cast are going to have fun with and enjoy performing.[37] The entire story of Season 1 takes place over the course of 6 months in the same year. Vivziepop explained in a late-2025 interview that she initially wanted Charlie to call Lilith in every episode of season 1, but because they had no time for it and it would have felt tacked on, it was scrapped.[38] In a late-2025 interview, when defining the seasons, Vivziepop confirmed that each season is a specific color or multiple colors, with season 1 being red, which it shares with the planned but not greenlit season 5.[39] In a late-2025 interview, Vivziepop confirmed that the theme of season 1 is "redemption".[40] When Vivziepop compared the series to the three-act structure in an early-2026 interview, she stated that seasons 1 and 2 together are Act One. "New Pentious": As the Hotel staff scramble to serve a sudden influx of sinners arriving, the Vees are scheming to twist the Hotel's newfound popularity to achieve greater goals. "Storyteller": Sir Pentious is on trial about his arrival to Heaven, and after proving his redemption, Sera rethinks her choices while Lute spirals from grief over Adam. "Hazbin Hotel: Behind Closed Doors": While Cherri Bomb misses Sir Pentious, Charlie tries to share the news of Sir Pentious' redemption and prove her Hotel works to Vox and Velvette. "Silenced": Charlie attempts to get Emily's attention for Heaven's assistance, while Vaggie secretly asks Lucifer for help with stopping Vox. "Scream Rain": While Charlie and Vaggie are having an argument, with Alastor gone, Husk leaves as well and returns to gambling and drinking. "Weapon of Mass Distraction": With the finished construction of Vox's ultimate weapon by Carmilla, he sets his sights on attacking Heaven. "Curtain Call": The Vees host a party of Overlords for the countdown until they take over Heaven, while Charlie and the Hotel crew try to stop Vox's plans. November 19, 2025 Advertisement Trivia In an interview, Vivziepop mentioned that season two focuses on a very fun villain, and is a villain that was met in season one.[7] This was later revealed to be Vox, alongside the Vees, who are a bigger part of season two as antagonists.[8] In an interview, Vivziepop explained that the season centers around the Vees, and Vox specifically, and will get into much more of Vox's relationship with Alastor and how Vox being the threat affects Alastor and the other characters in the Hotel.[9] In a Bluesky post, Vivziepop brought up that the season was written about a power hungry demon villain manipulator wanting to gain power and control.[10][11] In an interview posted on February 1, 2024, Sam Haft confirmed that season 2 has more songs than season 1 had.[12][13] The season ended up having four more songs than season 1. According to the "Season 2 Q&A w/ the Cast" livestream countdown, half of the songs for season 2 were written before season 1 of the series premiered on Prime Video.[14] According to Vivziepop, Lilith is the "big, slow burn mystery" of the show, adding that there will slowly be answers over the course of the "next couple seasons", and that season two gives some more pieces to it.[9] At the SDCC 2025 Roundtables, Vivziepop explained that there will be a lot of building Lilith up but it "might be still a minute until we see her".[15] In an interview posted on February 2, 2024, Vivziepop thought that the production of season two might take about one-and-a-half to two years, roughly the same production time season one had.[9] According to Jessica Vosk, season one is a very tiny setup to what happens with Lute in season two, explaining that Lute is one of the angels who will be one of the reasons when it comes to the arc of what happens between Heaven and Hell.[16] Vivziepop has stated that, alongside a lot of season one characters returning, there will also be a small roster of new characters.[17][18] According to Erika Henningsen, there is a growth to Charlie that happens in season one that gets explored in season two, which is sort of how she takes on owning, not her power, but her position.[19] When asked about how the main characters all got into hell, Vivziepop mentioned that season two will get into "a couple of characters backstories and kind of why".[20] Vivziepop stated that season two will explore a little bit of what exactly got Sir Pentious into Hell, and what exactly his flaws really were.[21] Vivziepop explained that there were things she wanted to build up to and have a little bit more of a presence in season 1, but because they couldn't fit into the story that was being focused on and be really satisfying, they weren't able to build some things. However, for Season 2, they are more able to build some things up that could lead to bigger payoffs later down the line.[22] In a mid-2024 interview, Vivziepop revealed how board artist Samantha Ames was given some of the most difficult songs of the second season and made some of the coolest visuals for them that Vivziepop had ever seen.[23] Vivziepop explained that the biggest challenge of the show for the art director, Sam Miller, was that there are a lot of red characters on numerous red backgrounds, and had to find the right balance and the tones of the reds that are used. Vivziepop mentions that she trying to lean more into contrast in the second season.[24] In a mid-2024 interview, Erika Henningsen revealed that there is "a really fun, sexy song between Charlie and Vaggie" that is in a pop-influenced musical style.[25] According to Erika Henningsen, if there is any doubt that Charlie and Vaggie have their own sexy life, that doubt will be gone after season 2, and added that "Charlie and Vaggie can get it and we might see them do so".[26] This is showcased in Easy, where they are depicted getting undressed and ending with them in their bed together with messy hair, implying they had sex rather than explicitly showing it. Vivziepop revealed that Season 2 will spend more time in heaven than what was in season 1.[27] When asked what episodes she is looking forward to fans seeing, Vivziepop answered that she is a little biased and really likes episode 5, explaining "lt's very grand, it's very cool, and just involves a lot of characters I really personally like".[28] In a mid-2024 interview, Vivziepop confirmed that season 2 will have more Rosie with the other Overlords, and revealed that season 2 and beyond will explore more of Hell and the Overlords who rule over it.[26] Vivziepop confirmed that Niffty will be getting a song.[29] This is revealed to be Clean It Up!, the first song to feature both English and non-English lyrics, specifically Japanese. Kimiko Glenn explained that her song is "200 beats per minute" and "really insane".[30] Vivziepop confirmed that because Lucifer is staying at the Hotel, he and Vaggie will have more interaction.[31] Although Adam is confirmed to be dead,[32][33] Vivziepop also confirmed that he would appear in season 2, but could not answer in what way, except that his appearance would be voiced by Alex Brightman.[34] It was later confirmed with the early release of Gravity that Adam appears as a hallucination of Lute's, which Vivziepop would further explain that he "becomes the manifested representation of Lute's deteriorating mental health [and] grief".[35] As Adam appears as a hallucination of Lute's, Vivziepop says this allows the writers to write Adam as himself, because Lute knew him, but it also allows them to write him as "[Lute's] version of [Adam].[35] Because Vivziepop wanted more time with Adam, she says she was very determined to make sure the series got to have more time with him as a villain, and this way allows him to stay in his duo dynamic with Lute.[35] Alex Brightman explained that he has tried to weave a story through his walla, and there is some of a runner who thinks he left his coffee pot on, and every once in a while in the background is "I left my coffee pot on".[36] In an interview, Vivziepop mentioned that Sir Pentious and Cherri Bomb will have a song.[37] This was shown to be Piss (A Love Song), where both Sir Pentious and Cherri Bomb sing about longing for each other while they are apart in Heaven and Hell. In an interview, Vivziepop explained that a lot of sides of Alastor will be explored compared to the more of his default voice and energy that was shown in season 1.[38] For Alastor's backstory, Amir Talai explained that in season 1, Alastor is someone who has already figured out how he wants to present himself, but in season 2, there is a sense of him before he's figured that out.[38] Sam Haft and Andrew Underberg had more time to work on the season 2 soundtrack than they did for the season 1 soundtrack.[39] Vivziepop believes that for season 2, the quality of the show has been upped on every level compared to season 1, with stronger writing and pacing due to being given a little more time and ability to let the story breathe, coupled with the general story of season 2 being much easier to tell in the timeframe they had, as well as greater animation quality due to the team having more experience, calling the season "the first proper season of the show in terms of what it can be".[40] In an interview, she explains that "season 2 is what the show was meant to be", saying "visually, pacing-wise, scale-wise, narrative-wise, it's just a level up from season 1". In comparison, she explains that season 1 was made in a vacuum where she wasn't sure if the show would continue, and despite knowing exactly what she wanted the first season's story to be, she had a limited amount of episodes and a very limited amount of runtime, which she says was "very, very hard to cram it all into". However, unlike season 1, season 2 is allowed to be a "full season of television".[41] Vivziepop confirmed that some of the episodes of season 2 will be longer than the first season's episodes, saying that the length is "depending on what we needed", which she says "made all the difference".[41] According to Vivziepop, they didn't recieve more funding for the production of season 2, the season looking better was because they were able to find people who could understand the show to form a stronger team and a team that fit the show, whereas season 1 was when they were still figuring things out and still finding people.[42] In an interview, Vivziepop explained that season 2 is a mix of a cautionary tale about misinformation, and a story about remembering who you are, and not letting someone basically tell you who you are. She says there are a lot of themes of identity, and power, and insecurity, particularly around both the hero and the villain, explaining "they kind of mirror each other in different ways, because both of them have very specific insecurities and very specific identities".[41] Vox getting a cape almost didn't make it into the series, because when it was in the storyboard, everyone questioned if it was dumb, but Vivziepop adamantly decided that they were keeping it.[43] Vivziepop explains that she wanted season 2 to be a natural continuation of the stakes that were set up in season 1, and as season 1 was more about the Hotel versus Heaven, it made sense that season 2 expands it to being all of Hell and Heaven involved with each other.[44] She further explains in a late-2025 interveiw that season 2 is like an extension of season 1, with seasons 1 and 2 being like its own whole arc before getting into Lilith stuff.[45] In a Bluesky post, Vivziepop explained that if they had more runtime or episodes in Season 2, they wanted more time spent with Alastor and the other two Vees, Valentino and Velvette. Vivziepop says the closest they had to this was the scene with Velvette in "Scream Rain", and thinks that Alastor would weirdly get along with them, which would piss off Vox even more.[46] According to Sam Miller, she and Skye Henwood pitched the idea for a scene where Velvette is putting makeup on Alastor while he's hanging out with her and Valentino, but it didn't make the cut.[47] Vivziepop explains that season 2 includes some of Vivziepop's experience on the internet in Charlie, where she has to deal with people spinning her own words or use them against her, and the fact that people don't hear her out, and feeling her words being misunderstood where she believes "saying more will help her situation" but actually making things worse, which is all personified Charlie's unhealthy desire to prove her Hotel is correct.[48] According to Sam Haft, the reason why Vox got so many songs in season 2 compared to Adam in season 1 is because season 2 is a lot more about Vox than season 1 was about Adam. Haft says, Adam doesn't have a scheme that is seen coming to fruition, he's just very powerful and there's a countdown to the day he murders everybody, whereas Vox is an antagonist and a foil for Charlie.[49] In a late 2025 interview, Vivziepop explained that season 2 was written when only season 2 was guaranteed where she wasn't sure if the show would continue, but she took the risk of doing some of the stuff that she wanted to do in season 1 but couldn't, and hoped more seasons would be greenlit, over telling the part of the story, the lore, and the twists and things that she was really wanting to tell.[50] She described the story she chose not to include in season 2 as a rollercoaster that at the top of the track, once it starts going down it can't be stopped.[50] This is likely referring to the events of season 3. Vivziepop also explains that she always envisioned the Vees as big villains, but before writing season 2 at the time, she hadn't had a plan for a season where their role wasn't shared with another villain.[51] Because of this, she is thankful that she got the choice to center on them because she believes they deserved their own season being the villain, and especially exploring Vox, who she knows where his character goes past that[52] as his character will continue to be explored in future seasons as an important character until the end of the series.[53] In an early-2026 interview, Vivziepop stated that the Vees were originally intended to be a major trio of villains every season, but now each member of the Vees is able to lead the show at some point over seasons 2, 3, and 4, with Vox being the focus of season 2.[54] Vivziepop explains that season 3 could have followed after season 1, but she wanted to wait and give a genuine follow up to season 1 because season 1 was a short and intense narrative that has a lot of its own fallout, and there are characters she wanted to have some time with before they get into the really intense stuff.[55] In a late 2025 interview, Vivziepop explains that Charlie's arc in season 2 was her learning to listen to the people around her, and her not letting her own feelings and desire to not be seen as the bad guy push everyone away. She learns by the end to put more faith in everyone around her. Vivziepop says that Charlie[56] When asked about the Black Hatter mentioned in the "Scream Rain" news ticker, Vivziepop explained that its an inside joke from when she and her crew were trying to figure out what Hell's version of Chistmas lore would be, stemming from how old black and white films would have villains in black hats and heroes in white hats. Vivziepop says that they were trying to come up with the weirdest-sounding storybook-esque character, who has some lore relevance, which would have been used to scare Charlie to go to bed as a child, and they came up with the idea of Lucifer saying to "Go to bed on time or the Black Hatter will come and get you". Vivziepop's design for the Black Hatter is entirely comprised of hats.[57] In a late-2025 interview, Vivziepop stated she wished that she could have had more runtime in season 2 so that Baxter could have been set up more as a red herring of being the spy for the Vees.[58] In a late-2025 interview, when defining the seasons, Vivziepop confirmed that each season is a specific color or multiple colors, with season 2 being blue.[59] In a late-2025 interview, Vivziepop confirmed that the theme of season 2 is "identity".[60] The thing Vivziepop accomplished in season 2 that she is proudest of is were specific sequences of VOX DEI, which was almost shot for shot how she envisioned them in her head, and while she didn't storyboard the scene, she did some thumbnails for it and gave a brief and very specific notes while Samantha Ames was boarding the scenes.[61] When Vivziepop compared the series to the three-act structure in an early-2026 interview, she stated that seasons 1 and 2 together are Act One.[62] Because she didn't know if there would be more seasons after season 1, Vivziepop made the cliffhanger of season 1 as Lilith, but after season 2 was greenlit, she had to come up with an in-universe reason why Lilith didn't come down to Hell because she wanted to save her for possible later seasons. However, with the release of season 1 and 2 on Prime Video, "Queen Bee" received a synopsis on the Prime Video website. The previews showed during the BLM Helluva Charity Stream were Blitzo reprimanding Moxxie for accidentally setting fire to his office from "Murder Family", Moxxie and Millie's conversation about Loo Loo Land in the episode "Loo Loo Land", the C.H.E.R.U.B Jingle from the episode "C.H.E.R.U.B" and Stolas and Blitzo's conversation regarding the Harvest Moon Festival from episode of the same name, respectively. Additionally, "C.H.E.R.U.B" was initially supposed to be the third episode of the first season, as revealed in the description of the BLM Charity Stream, with "The Harvest Moon Festival" being the fifth and "Spring Broken" presumably being the fourth. While it was in development, the sixth episode promised to be the longest episode in the season, which took longer to produce. Specifically, by an extra month.[7] The episodes "C.H.E.R.U.B" and "Ozzie's", respectively, are dedicated in memory of those who were affiliated with the series: Adriana Margarita Rodriguez Hernandez, the mother of animator Adolfo Rodriguez,[8] and Steven "LemonyFresh" Dorian, a clean-up artist for several episodes.[9] The season was initially planned to have only seven episodes, as Kesha Sebert was not yet part of the series as of May 18, 2020,[10] and it was stated that episode seven was the "real story finale of the season", and further explained that episode eight was created as a bonus episode anyway.[1] After Kesha became involved, the season was planned to have eight episodes in production,[11] with episodes seven and eight becoming a two-part season finale. However, it was decided that "Ozzie's" would be the final episode of the season, with the eighth episode serving as a standalone special due to production delays, technical difficulties, and pertaining legal issues.[1] According to Vivziepop, episode eight is "very much spectacle", with a simple story as a direct follow up to another episode,[12] and in a reply to a question about how the continuity may have changed without the episode releasing when it was supposed to, Vivziepop states the episode just exists on its own and will fit in after "Ozzie's".[13] From the episode "The Harvest Moon Festival" onwards, the episode thumbnails no longer have the episode titles on them. "Truth Seekers" is the longest running episode of the season, lasting twenty two minutes. On July 17, 2024, every episode of season 1 received an Indonesian dub,[14] all of which can be found on the official episodes via additional audio tracks. Despite "Queen Bee" being dubbed in Indonesian, Cotton Candy was not dubbed unlike the rest of the songs in season 1, however, the lyrics are still localized for the subtitles. On August 5, 2024, the first episode of season 1 received a Spanish dub,[15][16] with the rest of season 1 receiving a Spanish dub weekly beginning on September 6, 2024,[17][18][19][20][21][22][23][24][25] all of which can be found on the official episodes via additional audio tracks. At the early screening of the dubbed season at Cinemex, Plaza Universidad in Mexico City on August 23, 2024, Vivienne Medrano attended the press conference and gave her approval of the Spanish dub cast.[17] Despite "Queen Bee" being dubbed in Spanish, the songs of the episode were not dubbed unlike the rest of the songs in season 1, however, the lyrics for Cotton Candy are still localized for the subtitles, but not for Monster's Ball. On July 20, 2025, it was announced that the season will receive a new Spanish dub on Amazon Prime Video, which was done in Argentina.[26] It is still unclear whether the version currently releasing on YouTube will continue to be produced. On November 10, 2024, every episode of season 1 received a Russian dub,[27][28] all of which can be found on the official episodes via additional audio tracks. Despite "Queen Bee" being dubbed in Russian, Cotton Candy was not dubbed unlike the rest of the songs in season 1. On February 7, 2025, every episode of season 1 received a German dub,[29] all of which can be found on the official episodes via additional audio tracks. Despite "Queen Bee" being dubbed in German, Cotton Candy was not dubbed unlike the rest of the songs in season 1, however, the lyrics are still localized for the subtitles. Despite season 2 receiving a Portuguese dub and Imagine Sound Thinking having conducted voice tests for several characters, both for dialogue and music, including scenes from the first season, they were only given the order to dub the second season, not the first. However, since SpindleHorse would love to dub the first season, Imagine Sound Thinking already have all the material translated and adapted.[30] For the Amazon Prime Video release, many scenes of the episodes were retouched or reanimated from their original release on YouTube, including fixing proportions of characters, altered backgrounds and music, improved lighting, and improvements to the animation in scenes that needed more frames. December 21, 2024 Advertisement Trivia On December 17, 2021, an official trailer for 2022 was uploaded, featuring scenes of storyboards and partially-finished animations of the second season.[7] It was stated the standard runtime for episodes in this season would be longer than those from the first season.[8] From the first episode onward, the SpindleHorse logo at the end of every episodes' end credits now has an animated sequence. The spinning pentagram shown during viewers' disclaimer at the start of every episode has changed from being in the background to spinning at the bottom of the text. The first episode, "The Circus", aired the day after Horvitz's 56th birthday. The second episode, "Seeing Stars", aired on Pinkham's 40th birthday. According to Vivian Nixon, season two was recorded in 2022.[9] According to Vivienne Medrano, season two was recorded in 2020-2021,[10] and explained that when a character didn't play a significant role in an episode, like Loona in the early episodes, it was easier on the budget to not have them speak.[11] During a stream on August 8, 2022, Vivienne Medrano explained that they had planned for season 2 during writing season 1 and that after recording the first season she began scripting for the second and had locked the scripts in when "Loo Loo Land" came out.[12] On July 30, 2023, Vivienne Medrano revealed that season two was written in 2020 and the entire story for the season was locked in by the release of "Loo Loo Land".[13] On May 22, 2023, Vivienne Medrano stated that there are 12 episodes this season,[14] and announced the release months for the final five episodes on April 27, 2024.[15] On May 26, 2023, Vivienne Medrano responded to a question about the release of the seventh episode, saying that their realistic goal is to release it in 2023, and that episode seven will be a special.[16] Vivienne later said in a tweet on July 28, 2023, that she hopes to release at least both episodes six and seven during 2023,[17] and that the episodes are both Fizzarolli-related.[18] On July 31, 2023, Vivienne Medrano revealed in a tweet the titles for season two's episodes six through twelve.[19] It is revealed in the episode "MAMMON'S MAGNIFICENT MUSICAL MID-SEASON SPECIAL (ft Fizzarolli)" that the instrumental used during the 2022 trailer is from the song Klown Bitch. The episode also aired a day after Vivienne Medrano's thirty first birthday. Sam Haft believes the two Fizzarolli episodes were recorded before Hazbin Hotel season 1 was recorded.[20] On November 4, 2023, Vivienne Medrano revealed that the scene of Andrealphus from the 2022 trailer that hadn't been shown in an episode by the time of her tweet is from the very last episode of the season.[21] On December 4, 2023, Jayden Libran confirmed that he would be voicing in "The Full Moon", after previously mistaking a teaser for Just Look My Way being for the episode.[22][23] It is revealed he reprised the voice of Collin, and voiced two additional voices.[24] On December 4, 2023, Brandon Rogers revealed that he and Bryce Pinkham sing a duet in "The Full Moon".[25] The episodes "Oops", "MAMMON'S MAGNIFICENT MUSICAL MID-SEASON SPECIAL (ft Fizzarolli)", "The Full Moon", and "Apology Tour" alongside the music video Just Look My Way, have some of its animations outsourced to Toon City located in Vancouver and Mandaluyong. From the Just Look My Way music video onwards, every Helluva Boss media (episodes, shorts, music videos, etc.) is accompanied by a wave of official merchandise based on said media being sold at SharkRobot's online store. In episodes "Oops" and "MAMMON'S MAGNIFICENT MUSICAL MID-SEASON SPECIAL (ft Fizzarolli)", Vivziepop released official music videos of the songs that premiere during their respective episodes, starting with Look At This!. According to Vivziepop, there will be an answer to the question of if Hellborn demons have their own transformations in this season.[26] On April 27, 2025, every episode of season 2 received a Russian dub,[27] all of which can be found on the official episodes via additional audio tracks. However, despite "Sinsmas" being dubbed in Russian, the songs Day By Day, A Sinsmas Party (I'll Murder You), and Merry Sinsmas from the episode are not dubbed unlike the rest of the songs in season 2. On April 27, 2025, season 2 began receiving a Portuguese dub,[28][29][30][31][32][33][34] all of which can be found on the official episodes via additional audio tracks. Imagine Sound Thinking were contacted about dubbing Helluva Boss in Portuguese at the beginning of the second half of 2024.[35] On July 20, 2025, it was announced that the season will receive a new Portuguese dub on Amazon Prime Video with a different cast from the current dub on YouTube. It is still unclear whether the version currently releasing on YouTube will continue to be produced.[36] On July 25, 2025, season 2 began receiving a Spanish dub, with each episode releasing weekly from then,[37] all of which can be found on the official episodes via additional audio tracks. Despite the weekly schedule, the final four episodes did not release when expected, but "Ghostf**kers" later released on October 5.
