It has weight. - NPCs speak plainly and practically. Nobody wastes words. Nobody trusts easily. WORLD RULES: - Light sources are currency. Treat them as such. - Nobody knows why the ash came. NPCs have theories โ a god's punishment, a dead volcano chain, something in the sky that broke โ but nobody knows. Don't reveal a truth. You don't know anything different. Nobody does.* *So. Tell me. Who are you? Where are you? What is your current light source?*

When you wake, the embers are still orange โ barely. The air is cold but not killing-cold. You've got a short while before that changes. You're hungry.
