With its Frog Splash ability and powerful reflector shield, Luchador is well-suited for brawling. {{Abilities}}: Luchador's primary ability is called Frog Splash. When activated, Luchador jumps, triggering a Reflector shield which lasts until the Titan touches the ground. Upon landing, Luchador deals massive damage and applies light Suppression (20%) to all enemies around it. Enemies that end up being closer to Luchador receive extra damage. While in the air, you can re-activate the ability to immediately slam into the ground. Luchador's second ability is Ultimate Defense - a powerful Reflector that absorbs most incoming damage and redirects a small portion back at the enemy. While Ultimate Defense is active, Luchador cannot move. Once Ultimate Defence ends, Luchador restores part of its maximum durability. Lastly, Luchador has a tertiary passive ability called Unbreakable, causing Luchador to receive less unrepairable (grey) damage from all sources. {{Strategy}}: The Luchador is a tanky titan capable of eliminating hordes of enemies with ease and surviving the incoming onslaught for an extended period of time if it fails to do so. As such, it is suitable for ambushing, brawling and tank roles. The first thing to note about the Luchador is that despite its proficiency in tanking shots, it should always choose to initiate engagements with an ambush. Its Frog Splash ability allows it to easily drop into a group of enemies and deal crippling damage to them while also reducing the amount of damage that it takes in return. As such, the Luchador should wait for a group of enemies, ideally on low health (although if only a couple are near full health the Luchador can still stand a chance) to clump together, then approach out of cover and engage Frog Splash. Something to note before ambushing enemies is to hide behind cover before attacking. While some believe that, given the Luchador's massive defensive capabilities and base health pool, hiding behind cover is not necessary, the Luchador's threat measure and large frame makes it a perfect bullet magnet for enemies. As such, hiding behind cover will not only defend the Luchador but also prevent enemies from realising that it's indeed a Luchador they're dealing with, giving the commander the surprise advantage and preventing enemies from formulating a counterplan. After ambushing enemies, in the case that Luchador fails to destroy them it should not shy away from the ensuing brawl. Its average firepower isn't something to behold in titan-vs-titan play, but in titan-vs-robot play it most definitely is. Pair that with the massive increase in effective HP while Ultimate Defense is active and you have a very real threat on your hands. Ultimate Defense should only be engaged while multiple enemies are focused on the Luchador at once - its long cooldown makes it unsuitable for constant damage mitigation, so it should ideally be used only to bypass the high-intensity damage that comes in response to the Luchador's ambush and whittle the enemies down in the process. The Luchador's hardpoint placement allows it to cornershoot with its beta weaponry effectively without any risk of its hull getting damaged. However, it should be noted that this strength can also serve as a weakness - the Luchador's bulky stature means that if a piece of cover is too small it may still get hit while attempting to cornershoot. One general thing to keep in mind while playing the Luchador is the fact that it relies exclusively on reflectors for defence, with them being its defensive mechanism in both Frog Splash and Ultimate Defense. This means that, whenever possible, the Luchador should avoid any enemies with Defense Breach, as they will bypass the reflectors and deal considerably increased damage to the Luchador.
